Marissa's P.O.V.

Ryder and Alexis threw Blair and I a birthday party. I wasn't in the party mood, I had to smile and try to be social but that was the last thing I want.

A lot of random people were here, the only people I knew were Ryder, Alexis, Blair and Shawn. I invited Talia and Miles but I don't think they are coming. I walked over to the mini bar, I got rum and coke.

I saw Shawn dancing with some girl, I rolled my eyes and chuckled. Man whore.

I walked outside and sat by the pool. I felt the warmth of the alcohol, I chuckled shaking my head "Happy birthday Marissa. You are literally the worst person on the earth." I said and sipped my drink. Silent tears fell down my face.

"That is probably the biggest lie you have ever said."

I jumped slightly and I saw Miles standing the with a small frown.

My eyes widened "How is it that this is your birthday party but the birthday girl is unhappy?" He asked walking over to me.

"The birthday girl messed up and ruined her relationship with the greatest guy she knew." I said frowning and Miles sat next to me. He raised an eyebrow "I am sure he still loves you." He said with a small smile and I smiled.

We sat outside the whole night talking and I felt happy. He made me feel happy for the first time in almost a year.
