We would only understand the miracle of life fully when we allow unexpected things to happen!!!

From the last few minutes Nandani was staring the walls of Manik's cabin where as Manik pretended that he was indulged in his work.

"Huh!! So boring, where have you stuck Nandu? From the last few hours I am just sitting and staring his cabin's walls thinking that soon I would be free but no he is toh not looking towards me. May be he is giving me punishment for coming late. Saduu insaan!!!! Moreover, it seems today time is also running very slowly." thought Nandani putting her chin on her hands that were on the table.

"Monster!" mumbled Nandani looking in Manik's direction...

"Heard you!!" said Manik with an amused expression..

"I am getting bored!!" said Nandani.. Listening this Manik looked towards Nandani and smirked.

"So do you want me to entertain you?" said Manik..

"No!! Let me go na now. Vaise bhi I don't have work now. I don't know why you are not letting me go inspite that I don't have any work" said Nandani glaring him..

"You are my very personal assistant that means you would always give me company till the time I am staying in office!" said Manik as a state of fact...

Before Nandani could say something Cabir barged in his cabin. "Manik voo?" was saying Cabir but then seeing Nandani there he became quiet and smirked inwardly.

"Ahaa, Nandani congratulations!!" said Cabir flashing his teeth.. In return Nandani smiled and mouthed a thank you.

"In spite of your planning and plotting you are here in Malhotra's office but don't worry you would soon enjoy here." said Cabir chuckling.. Manik glared Cabir when he said that while Nandani got embarrassed thinking that Cabir too know about her planning plotting thing..

"Cabir were you here for some work?" asked Manik getting pissed up...

"Umm yeah but right now I think so that could be delayed. " said Cabir and sit besides Nandani..

"You were getting bored na now enjoy his company" said Manik sarcastically to Nandani...

"So Nandani I want to know why you were not interested for this post? I mean this is a good opportunity then why you don't want to be his P.A.?" asked Cabir curiously..

Nandani looked towards Manik and saw him busy in his laptop she thought "Nandu achaa chance h say truth whatever you feel about him may be after that he would got pissed up and would throw you out from this office, who knows?"

"Because I don't want to be around him, that's why" said Nandani shrugging her shoulder..

"Why? He looks hot didn't he? Girls drool over him." said Cabir smirking...

"He is not at all hot, face bhi aiwayyi type k h and I would not be in the category of the girls who would drool over him ever" said Nandani loud enough so that Manik could hear that.. Manik's ears were their only listening whatever they were talking, he was just showing that he was engrossed in his work. But how could he engrossed in other work when after ages he was so close to his love of life. He just wanted to keep her with him so as to make sure that she is safe sound from any other troubles. If possible he would not let her leave anywhere without being his side but right now this was not possible.

Cabir laughed on Nandani's statement and said "Only you had the courage to insult Manik that too on his face."

Whereas Nandani was looking towards Manik's face so as to get any reaction from him but Manik paid no heed. She crossed her arms over her chest and made a grumpy face. "Cabir enough now, don't trouble her more" said Manik looking at Nandani's face.

"What did I do? The reason of her trouble is you not me!" said Cabir with a chuckle..

"Enough enough.. go out I want to have a talk with her" said Manik glaring at Cabir..

"Haa haa ab friend ki kadr kyu hogi, hai na?" said Cabir dramtically looking towards Nandani for an answer.. While not getting that Cabir was teasing Manik, Nandani made a confused face thinking what to say.

Manik rolled his eyes and said "Jaa naa!!"

Pouting Cabir left his cabin giving space to them. Manik got up from his chair and went towards Nandani. "Come, I would show you something" said Manik holding her hand..

Nandani tried to resist but Manik didn't budged. He brings her near the glass window. Nandani didn't said anything but could admire the surrounding seeing it from top. While Manik was looking towards her, he wants the moment like this where without any disturbance he could just stare her, if life would give him a chance then he could stare her throughout his life..

"It's beautiful" said Nandani after few minutes...

"Not more than you!" said Manik adoring her. Nandani got surprised by the compliment. She looked towards Manik's direction who was staring at her without blinking...

"Are you trying to flirt with me?" asked Nandani raising her eyebrows..

"If this is called flirting then yes I am flirting with you" said Manik with a wide grin..

"Don't flirt with me then!" said Nandani glaring him..

"If I would do then?" said Manik coming towards her..

"Then I would" said Nandani but before she could say anything Manik blocked her ways by placing his both hands on either side of her and said "I would?"

Nandani looked towards him and glared him. "I would slap you" said Nandani..

"Achaa then slap me!" said Manik with a smirk..

"Dekho mai na suchi mai keh rhi hu, don't try to instigate me. Thappad kha loge mere haath k tab sudhar hi jaoge" said Nandani getting pissed up seeing the smirk on his face...

"Mana kab kia maine, sudhar do na" said Manik extreme sweetly. His sweet voice was doing something to her. Nandani looked towards him confusingly not knowing how to counter attack on these flirting.

"Kya hua feeling something something?" asked Manik nudging her arms with his arms.

"Huh!" said Nandani with confusion.

"Aree you were saying few minutes earlier na that you are not in that category of girls who would drool over me ever" said Manik with playfully smirk.

"That means you were listening." said Nandani with frowns. "Tum usska badla le rhe ho aise?" asked Nandani.

"I am not taking any badla. I am just cross checking whether in reality you are not getting affected or you know" said Manik closing more distance between them.

Nandani widened her eyes and at once pushed him "What rubbish door rho mujhse!"

"Come on Nandani, I was just checking. Don't say you are getting affected by our proximity" said Manik with a wide grin.

"Never ever! I would never get affected by these type of your actions" said Nandani..

"Achaa.. That toh we would get to know soon" said Manik.. Before Nandani could reply him a phone call disturbed them.

Nandani was shooting glares at him while Manik being amused check the caller and saw it was Nyonika. "Haa Ma" said Manik as soon as he picked the call.

"Beta ghar jldi aa janna aaj.. yaad h naa dinner pr guests aane wale h" said Nyonika.

"Ha Ma, I remember. I would be on time." said Manik looking towards Nandani..

"Nandani ko bhi time pr jaane dena, you can meet her at dinner" said Nyonika. Manik could sense her mother teasing tone.

"Thik h maa.. Aur kuch?" asked Manik smiling..

"Hmm keep smiling like this beta hmesha!! Wrap your work now and come soon" said Nyonika warmly..

"Ok Maa bye" said Manik and cut the call... "Want to go home?" asked Manik to Nandani as soon as he cut the call..

"Offcourse itni der se issi k wait kr rhi hu. Can I leave?" asked Nandani..

"Wait!" said Manik and quickly wrap up his work then looking towards her he said "Come I would give you a lift!"

"That's not needed! I have my car, I would go on my own. Thank you so much!" said Nandani and was going to left the cabin.

Before she could left the cabin Manik said "Nandani". Nandani turned towards him to listen what he wants to say.  "See you then on dinner" said Manik winking her. Nandani opened her mouth in a big O shaped while Manik left from their controlling himself not to laugh on her face.

"Huh what do he think of himself? Mere saath flirting mere saath? He would surely get a slap from my hand one day" said Nandani while going towards her room..

"Chotti how was your first day?" asked Abhimanyu before Nandani could enter her room. Seeing Abhimanyu Nandani put her hands around his neck and hugged him.

"Bhai not good, Mujhe na yha kaam nhi krna Bhai." complained Nandani hugging him.

"Ku nhi kra yha kam, any problem chotti?" asked Abhimanyu curiously..

"Bhai that office na that is so boring and the boss he is toh very akdu types." said Nandani thinking about Manik..

Abhimanyu chuckled and said "Boss has to keep that aura akdu types wala."

"Bhai aap nhi smajh rhe na kaise smjhau aapko aur kya btau aapko ki how do I feel whenever he is close to me, whenever he used to stare me I don't know but that eyelock seems to be too intense. I feel nervous whenever he is near me. So how would I work there that too being his very personal assistant." thought Nandani hugging Abhimanyu..

"Seems like you are tired, hmm?" asked Abhimanyu running his hand on her hair and trying to look at her face.

"Hmm I am very tired, I want to sleep now on bed." said Nandani.

Then only Mr and Mrs Singh came there. "Beta go and get ready, have uh forgot the dinner invite?" said Mr Singh.

"Ha choti we were waiting for you only jldi se ready ho ja otherwise we would be late" said Abhimanyu breaking the hug. 

"Aapko badi jldi h dinner ki, hmm??? ya fir ye bolu ki jldi h kisi se milne ki" said Nandani teasing him..

"Tu abhi tired thi na, tab bhi you are ready to tease me" said Abhimanyu glaring her.

"Uske liye toh I am forever ready Bhai" said Nandani grinning..

"Tera rista jab pakka hoga na tab dekhna tujhe sabse jyada tease mai hi krunga" said Abhimanyu..

"Aree bss kro tum donno, Nandani beta go and get ready" said Mrs Singh.. Nandani nodded her head and went to her room.

"Keep that vase there" instructed Nyonika to one of the helper.

"Manik aren't you getting feeling that this seems to be more than dinner invite?" asked Cabir smirking..

Rolling his eyes Manik said "this is not that easy Cabir!!"

"If you want then we can make it easy" said Mukti giving hi fi to Cabir..

"Mukti teri shadi hone wali h ab tu iski company se door hi rhe toh hi acha rhega. Don't get involve with him, he is an idiot!" said Manik..

"She is not in my company dude, she use to remain busy now a days, poora din call pr rhti h Abhimanyu k saath. Don't know itni baatein kaise krte h ye donno" said Cabir pouting..

"Manik is right you are an idiot!!" said Mukti slapping on Cabir's head.. Cabir pouted more while Manik chuckled seeing both of them..

Then only the bell rang grabbing everyone's attention. Nyonika and Raj welcomed Singh family. Abhi and Mukti saw each other and blushed. Nandani nudged Abhi's shoulder playfully teasing him while Abhi glared her. But as soon as her eyes fall on Manik who was smiling seeing her she made a face and ignored him like he did not exist. Abhi hugged Manik and Cabir while Nandani hugged her Mukti bhabhi.

After that they were seated on couch when after few minutes Nyonika said "aree bacho go and show Abhimanyu and Nandani your rooms, jao baatein kro ek dusre se."

"Ha ha jarur, come Abhi, Nandani!" said Cabir. Sooner Cabir, Manik, Nandani, Mukti and Abhimanyu were going upstairs. Nandani was stick to Abhimanyu's side. She don't want to be around Manik that too alone toh bilkul nhi. Manik was quietly noticing her each move. Her mere presence was enough for Manik to keep him happy.

"Mukti go and show Abhimanyu your room" said Cabir after they reached upstairs. Mukti and Abhimanyu smiled, Nandani too followed him but Cabir said "Come Nandani, I would show you my room." Nandani gave a look to Cabir and then Mukti and Abhimanyu.

"Cabir let her come with me, come chotti" said Abhimanyu holding Nandani's hand..

"I think so Cabir is trying to give privacy to Bhai and Bhabhi, mai bhi na I can't disturb them everywhere" thought Nandani and mentally slapped herself.

"Bhai aap jao mai Cabir k room dekh kr aati hu" said Nandani smilingly..

"Choti are uh sure?" asked Abhimanyu confusingly..

"Yeah yeah Bhai!!" said Nandani.. Abhimanyu nodded his head and left with Mukti. Nandani turned towards Cabir without sparing a glance in Manik's direction and said "Chale?"

"Ha chalo" said Cabir and then after taking 2-3 steps he said "Oh no! I left my mobile downstairs mai abhi le kr aaya Nandani".. "Okk" said Nandani not knowing what to do.

Turning towards Manik direction Cabir said "Manik till the time I am coming you can make her see your room" and winked in his direction.

"Par" Nandani tried to say but Cabir left without hearing anything.. Manik inwardly laughed seeing her face right now. Nandani looked towards Manik who motioned her with his hands to follow him. Having no other option she quietly followed him..

Mr Malhotra and Mr Singh were having their business related talk in drawing room while Nyonika and Mrs Singh were have their talk in kitchen. "In one day only both of the family had came very close to each other"..

"I was too wondering over this! But then marriage not only bonds two people in a relationship but basically it bonds 2 families" said Mrs Singh sweetly..

"Then why not make this bonding more strong?" said Nyonika smiling.. Mrs Singh made a confused face not getting what she is trying to say.

"Mujhe aapki bachii Nandani badi pyari lgi, I want to ask her hands for my Manik!!" said Nyonika straight forwardly.....
