"Y-yes, anything for you, Master Kim," replied Mr. Gu.

"I want to marry your eldest biological son," declared Master Kim. The shock that coursed through Mr. Gu was nothing short of seismic. It would be an understatement to say that his world had taken a complete 180-degree turn within just ten minutes. The one and only Master Kim was requesting his elder son's hand in marriage. Mr. Gu shook his head, half-convinced he was in a dream, and nervously sought confirmation, "M-Master Kim, are you truly asking for my son's hand in marriage?"

"Yes, is there a problem with that?" queried Master Kim.

Mr. Gu, quick to respond, reassured him, "NO! NO! What are you saying, Master Kim? It's a lifelong privilege to be of service to you."

Master Kim merely nodded, well aware that Mr. Gu was a covetous man, driven solely by wealth. He knew that Mr. Gu's compliments were an attempt to curry favour.

Continuing, Master Kim proposed, "Shall we proceed to set a wedding date? I personally prefer a private ceremony, but if your son desires a grand celebration, I have no objections."

This unexpected turn of events left Mr. Gu in shock. He had anticipated discussions about the wedding date to occur months down the line, not this soon. He cautiously responded, "I would like to discuss this with my son first, if you don't mind, sir."

Master Kim nodded and turned his gaze towards the panoramic view of Seoul visible through the office window. This gesture signalled the conclusion of their meeting. Mr. Gu, quick to pick up on the cue, bowed deeply and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve Master Kim.
