-On November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall is taken down, finally reuniting West and East Germany.

1991 AD: END OF THE COLD WAR

-On Dec 26, 1991, the Soviet Union collapses, bringing an end to the Cold War.

1997 AD

-The Sojourner lands on Mars.

1998 AD

-The ISS is launched.

2004 AD

-The first of the two Exploration Rovers known as Spirit lands on Mars.

-Six days later, the second of the two Exploration Rovers known as Opportunity lands on Mars.

2006 AD: OIL CRISIS

-An oil crisis occurs worldwide as prices begin an irrevocable rise that slowly begins to weigh on global economies and causes political leaders to increasingly place energy security at the forefront of national policies. New methods of extraction are researched, and alternate fuel sources are rapidly developed.

2011 AD

-Earth's population reaches 7 billion.

2016 AD: THE END OF CHEAP OIL

-Nuclear terrorism in Saudi Arabia kills 6 million and cripples the world's oil supply. The world is seized by an energy crisis of catastrophic proportions that sees many governments struggling to maintain civil and economic order. "Energy security" becomes the explicit priority of governments around the world.

2017 AD: THE END OF NUCLEAR WAR

-The historic S.L.A.M.S. (Space-Land-Air Missile Shield) treaty is ratified by the United States and Europe.

-The Joint US-European missile shield goes live. Strategic nuclear war has been rendered impossible. On both sides of the Atlantic, crowds celebrate the advent of a new age of peace and security.

THE RISE OF THE MOTHERLAND

-Now the world's number one supplier of crude oil and natural gas, Russia pours its flooding petrodollars into its greatest arms buildup since the Cold War.

2018 AD: BIRTH OF THE EUROPEAN FEDERATION

-In response to the ongoing energy crisis, nearly all of the European Union's member states ratify the European Constitution and unite as a single national entity known as The European Federation (EF), with a population and GNP greater than the United States. The United Kingdom declines federation but retains close economic and diplomatic ties.

2019 AD: ARMS RACE

-The international community – Europe in particular – responds with outrage when the U.S. launches its first kinetic bombardment satellites into orbit. The European Federation begins launching its own weaponized satellite systems. Both superpowers are locked in a spiraling arms race in space. By the end of 2019, each has placed a dozen ground-effect weapons satellites into orbit.

-Due to the ongoing and rising tensions of the arms race, the U.S. begins to enact policies that attract the interest of intellectual scientists and researchers worldwide, promising wealth, fortune, and opportunities, along with funding for their research projects. This later proves to be a successful strategy as hundreds to thousands of intellectuals from all over the world come to America, including the British-German scientists and pioneering brothers named Joseph and William Hawking-Mauser, who are the grandchildren of Stephen Hawking and direct descendants of Peter Paul Mauser of the Mauser family.

2020 AD: AMERICAN SPACE SUPREMACY

-The United States begins assembling the 'Freedom Star', a military space station to house a battalion of rapid response 'orbital marines'.

-International reaction to this 'American Aircraft Carrier in Space' is very negative. Despite international protests, the US vows to go forward with the launch of Freedom Star modules as scheduled.

PRELUDE TO WAR

-On March 23, 2021, EF uplink sites in the 'lawless zone', where Croatia used to be, are attacked by an as-yet unidentified group of terrorists, who are using T-80 tanks, from a beached cargo ship. They are repulsed by EF Enforcers Corps (EFEC) forces. During the battle, the EF attempts to gain access to the cargo ship that the terrorists use but the ship is destroyed before they can gain access. Details of the attack are kept secret.

-On April 4, when the final module of the Freedom Star is set to launch from Kennedy Space Center amid international outcry, the same group of terrorists attack the module and attempt to destroy it, using the same methods as the Croatian attack. Once again they are repulsed, this time by the United States Joint Strike Force (JSF) as reports of yet another terrorist attack come in, this time of an assault on the Rozenberg petrol plant in the Netherlands. After being defeated by EFEC forces, the terrorists identify themselves as the 'Forgotten Army' composed of people from a collection of failed states in the Balkans, Africa and South America.

-Following a final terrorist attack, this time on a Russian power plant near Minsk (an attack which the Russians were aware of beforehand but played along with for aesthetic purposes), the U.S. finds 'conclusive evidence' that the EF's defense minister, François Pulain, funded the Forgotten Army with modern military equipment. Suspecting there to be a conspiracy within the European government to prevent the completion of the Freedom Star, The Americans send a black-ops team to abduct Pulain while he inspects the uplink network in Copenhagen, the site of the EF's main naval base. They manage to capture him but an anonymous call by Russia informs Danish police, allowing EFEC forces to prevent extraction and trap the team in one of the uplinks. On April 7, the U.S. crashes Copenhagen's uplinks and sends in JSF units to rescue the trapped team. The U.S. successfully repels the EFEC's first attack, but European forces are able to counter-attack and reboot Copenhagen's uplinks in their favor. The JSF forces are forced to surrender and are allowed safe passage back to the U.S. in exchange for releasing Pulain.

-The events in Copenhagen spark a major international incident but the U.S. and EF stop just short of declaring war. As last-minute peace talks are arranged to be held on neutral ground in London, it is revealed that Russia funded the Forgotten Army's attacks and planted the evidence against Pulain, citing the need to keep the EF and the U.S. from uniting in order to take Russia's oil.

WORLD WAR 3

-To ensure that war is sparked between the two powers, elements of the Spetsnaz Guard Brigade (SGB) embark on a covert operation, disguised as Forgotten Army soldiers, to upload a virus into the European SLAMS network at Rovaniemi air base in Finland. The virus causes an EF orbital laser satellite to shoot down the new Freedom Lifter module during lift off, thinking it to be an ICBM. The entire crew is killed, and news reports blaming problems from 'malfunction' to 'terrorist hijacking' to (finally) 'EF satellite'. This final act starts a war between the two powers. Russia initially joins the U.S. under the guise of 'aiding it in its crusade against Europe' and invades EF-controlled Poland, but the Americans see this as an attempt to reform the Eastern Bloc and attack Russia.

-World War III has begun.

2021 AD: INVASION OF EUROPE

-The opening few months of the war would see American troops invade western Europe through a series of lightning raid assaults that allow them to penetrate through European defenses. Despite that, the EFEC are able to hold strong and stand against the American threat.

WAR ON THE EASTERN FRONT

-On the Eastern front, Russia's SGB invades through Finland, Poland, Latvia, and Romania, catching the ER off guard. Russian forces are able to inflict mass casualties before their offensives were grinded to a halt.

2022 AD: BATTLE OF ST. PETERSBURG

-After managing to hold out and reorganize, EFEC forces are able to launch counter attacks and slowly pushing American and Russian forces out of the continent.

-Turning their attention towards Russia, European forces are able to breach into the motherland before being stopped at St. Petersburg. The city was hotly contested. Though the battle resulted in mass casualties, Russian forces are able to hold the city and forces the Europeans into retreat.

HOMEFRONT

-After being pushed out of Europe, the European EFEC and Russian SGB do the unthinkable and mange to invade the American mainland, both on the west and east coasts. Many American JSF forces are forced to be called back in order to protect the homeland.

2023 AD: BATTLE OF WASHINGTON D.C.

-The US capital of Washington D.C. is under siege by European forces. Despite the tenacious assault, American JSF are able to hold the line and push the enemy back, ensuring the area doesn't fall into enemy hands.

-After months of brutal and intense fighting, The American JSF are able to push both Russian and European forces out of the homeland before finally regaining the initiative.

BATTLE OF PARIS

-After the fighting in Washington D.C., the American JSF lay siege on the EF's capital of Paris. The fighting is both heavy and brutal, both sides taking heavy casualties. In the end, the city layed almost in ruins but the EFEC still successfully pushed the JSF out of their capital.

2024 AD: BATTLE OF MOSCOW

-The war isn't going well in Russia's favor. Despite having massive resources, its population began to dwindle and its was worse when American and European forces layed siege to Moscow. The fighting in the city resulted in a three-way battle royale between American JSF, European EFEC, and Russian SGB. After weeks of intense fighting, European and American forces are forced to pull out of city, unable to continue to assault, leaving the Russian Capital devastated.

2025 AD: END OF WORLD WAR 3

-After 5 years of brutal and non-stop fighting, the USA, EF, and RF finally come to an agreement to a ceasefire. The cost of the war surpassed even WW2, resulting in over 400 million dead. Europe would be the one to take the most casualties as their population was cut in half while America and Russia would lose 1/3 of their populations.

-The ceasefire was only made possible due to the truth coming out that it was Russia, more specifically General Sergei Izotov, who funded the Forgotten Army and supplied them with weapons, along with the planting of false evidence against François Pulain and the destruction of the Freedom Lifter module. Suffice to say, the man was arrested and executed for starting WW3.

-Likewise, President Vsevolod Kapalkin was ousted out of office due to his corruption and a new Russian leadership took place filled with moderates who seek to make peace with the west. With new treaties being signed, World War 3 finally came to an end.

2026-2027 AD: A WORLD IN RUINS

-Though the world was finally at peace, the nations of America, Europe, and Russia were now in ruins. Without these powers to maintain the balance, chaos and anarchy spread across the planet as proxy wars, poverty, and famine erupted worldwide.

-The situation, while terrible, left the three powers unable to do anything but rebuild as best as they could.

-However, in the USA, the situation in the states is slowly but certainly improving. Thanks to the policies the U.S. enacted seven years ago, these intellectual scientists have become essential in helping the U.S. stand its ground and get back on its feet. With their latest inventions released during and after WW3, military and civilian infrastructure and living conditions have been restored and improved. Not to mention, several scientists and researchers have become entrepreneurs, businessmen, and CEOs of the companies and industries they formed. One of the most prominent and popular arms manufacturing companies is Hawking Industries, founded by the British-German brothers Joseph and William Hawking-Mauser.

2028 AD: ARMISTICE-CHINESE WAR

-A series of attacks occur in America, Europe, and Russia. At first, they believe it is either each other or the Forgotten Army responsible. However, they soon learn that the true perpetrators of the attacks are China.

-During WW3, while America, Europe, and Russia were too busy fighting each other, China seized the opportunity to gain power. After forcibly annexing the nations of Mongolia, North Korea, Burma, Cambodia, and Laos, it reorganizes into the New Chinese Federation (NCF).

-Soon, the NCF begins invading the rest of Asia, starting with Vietnam. The Vietnamese people put up a brutal and tenacious resistance until the NCF employs indiscriminate chemical bombings, which devastate the population, ultimately forcing the country to surrender to China. However, the Vietnamese, being very stubborn, refuse to surrender easily to their sworn enemies. Remnants of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), led by the remaining party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), engage in prolonged and brutal guerrilla warfare against the NCF. Likewise, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are invaded. Due to sheer numbers and resources, the NCF manages to win and annex both South Korea and Taiwan. Japan falls to the NCF, but the island of Hokkaido remains under Japanese control, having been turned into a military fortress.

-Soon, all of Asia begins to fall to the NCF's onslaught before finally setting its sights on Russia, Europe, and America. Faced with a common enemy, the three nations have no choice but to forge an alliance and work together against China.

-Together, they form a military alliance called Armistice.

-With the three world powers united against a common foe, America, Russia, and Europe battle together to stop Chinese aggression.

-This leads to the beginning of the Armistice-Chinese War.

2029 AD

-The fighting is brutal, as Armistice forces are forced into a defensive position due to China's overwhelming numbers. Because of their depleted forces from the Third World War, they resort to guerrilla warfare and hit-and-run tactics.

-This strategy works for a time, as the Chinese numbers are significantly reduced, making a war of attrition unfavorable for the NCF.

-During the war, Hawking Industries enters the fields of politics, science, and warfare as Joseph and William Hawking-Mauser convince the Armistice to fund a large amount of money to their company. This allows them to initiate a chain of mass weapon manufacturing as well as research and development of new weapons of war. This proves to be a success, with Hawking Industries becoming the top and sole arms manufacturer, owning hundreds of industrial sites around the world (except in Asia) and producing the largest quantities of weapons the world has ever seen, along with new technologies and weaponry to win the war against the NCF. Because of this, Joseph and William Hawking-Mauser are praised and referred to as the Warlords of War Machine and Advanced Warfare.

2030 AD: LIBERATION OF ASIA

-After being able wither down and decimate China's superior numbers, Armistice forces go on the offensive.

-Russia and Europe liberate Mongolia while America liberates Japan. Other allied nations such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico also join in on the war in order to deal with China's advance.

-Soon the territories conquered in Asia are liberated thanks to help from local resistance forces and now make their way into the mainland China itself.

2031 AD: BATTLE OF SHANGHAI

-On the coasts of China, Armistice forces invade and eventually take Shanghai, turning the city into a base of operations in order to further offensive operations.

-Taiwan and South Korea are liberated while North Korea is taken from NCF control.

2032 AD: BATTLE OF BEIJING

-Finally, after months of preparations and battles, Armistice forces launch a final assault on China's capital Beijing. The battle was brutal as the last of the NCF forces made a desperate final stand. Unwilling to take responsibility for their actions, the members and leaders of the Communist Chinese Party detonated an experimental thermobaric nuclear bomb that was hidden underneath the city, destroying the entire city of Beijing which leads to the deaths of millions of soldiers and civilians.

END OF THE ARMISTICE-CHINESE WAR

-Despite the tragic ending, the war was finally over. In the aftermath, the New Chinese Federation was disbanded, and all former conquered nations have been given back their independence. Taiwan takes over the country and reforges China into the newly created United Chinese Republic.

-The disbandment of the NCF and transformation into the UCR had finally brought the world into a state of peace... in Asia, Eurasia, and North America anyway. Unfortunately, the rest of the world still teetered on the brink of collapse.

2033-2038 AD: THE WARS TO END ALL WARS

-In the post-war era of WW3 and Armistice-Chinese War, there were still numerous conflicts and battles all across the planet. South America, Africa, Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent descended into civil war. These conflicts would soon lead to a massive loss of life, forcing Armistice forces to intervene and stop these wars for good.

-It would be a grueling endeavor that would last for years. It was made even worse when several nuclear exchanges happened in both the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent, horrifying the world. This leads to a new movement across the planet as people are calling for an end to all wars and sought global unification.

-With public support, Armistice forces were able to do armed interventions and stop the wars from getting even worse.

-The aftermath and end of these conflicts would devastate the human population. 3 billion human lives have been killed off, leaving only 5 billion left on the planet.

2039-2040 AD: THE UNITED NATIONS OF EARTH

-After finally putting down and stopping the numerous conflicts that plagued the world, the entire human race was exhausted as resources started to become scarce and the ecological effects started to become devastating.

-In an unprecedented display of global unity, the United States of America, the European Federation, the Russian Federation, and the United Chinese Republic began the process of ceding elements of their sovereignty to a revived United Nations.

-Under UN initiatives, extraordinary developments in atmospheric processing, renewable energy and space exploration finally brought the exploitation of the Solar System within reach. Using these innovations as the ultimate negotiating asset, the so-called 'UN Community' was able to extend its membership to both neutral nations and formal rivals.

-With the world being united under a single banner, this new institution would lead the UN to be reformed into the United Nations of Earth (UNE).

-The creation of the UNE would exert such economic, political, and military influence across the world that it was able to integrate the last remaining holdouts relatively peacefully. Under this new style of government, the UNE developed a single internal market, a standardized system of laws and a directly elected parliament. While its member nations retain responsibility for its own internal affairs and maintain their respective armed forces, the United Nations of Earth is seen by humanity as the first real true steps to a unified world government.

-Likewise, thanks to the war efforts from the two conflicts, Hawking Industries transforms into Hawking Enterprises, a mega-corporation that not only focuses on weapon manufacturing but also on the fields of medicine, technology, transportation, space exploration, energy, and other areas. While still a major supplier of weapons and technology to the UNE, they also prioritize improving civilian living conditions and infrastructure, as well as supporting advancements in space exploration.

2041-2050 AD: COLONIZATION

-Due to a resource crisis and a dwindling atmosphere, the UNE ignites a massive wave of off-world colonization to resolve these issues. Most planets and moons within the Sol System are colonized.

2051-2070 AD: COLONIZATION OF MARS

-Mars is colonized by a multi-national and a private contracted effort.

-Mars population reaches 100 million.

2090-2110 AD: THE ORBITAL ELEVATORS

-In the decades that followed, researchers and scientists proposed a new solution in order to solve the energy crisis. The proposal involved the construction of a combined Orbital Elevator and photovoltaic energy system.

-By the start of the year 2110, with the funding from the Hawking Enterprises, the technology is completed, leading to the creation of the Orbital Elevators.

-It provides transportation from Earth to space and vice versa and also transports solar energy to the planet's surface to power the entire world, earning it the nickname 'Solar Elevator'.

-At least 7 orbital elevators are created and the renewal of solar energy helped fixed the energy crisis on Earth.

2111 AD: FASTER THAN LIGHT (FTL) DRVIE

-Scientists and researchers made a major breakthrough in creating a functional FTL Drive. Based on the concepts of warp drives and hyperdrives from science fiction, they create the 'Drop Engine' which allows for a huge reduction time in space travel. With this new FTL drive, it allowed starships to travel from months to days.

2120 AD

-The 3rd GEN FTL energy efficiency reduces travel from days to minutes.

2130 AD

-The 4th GEN FTL Drive reduces the size and energy requirements, reducing travel from days to seconds.

2140 AD

-Mars population reaches 900 million.

-Earth population reaches 14 billion.

2142 AD

-Special Combat Air Recon (SCAR) is established.

2157 AD

-Settlement Defense Front is established to maintain martial law in off-world territories.

-It also becomes the main military arm of the UNE, granting and giving the organization the latest in military technology. Likewise, Hawking Enterprises gives the SDF advanced military technologies like prototype energy weaponry.

2164 AD: SECESSION WARS

-The SDF refuses to ship cargo to Earth and goes on strike and Earth sends troops to apply pressure.

-One young security trooper accidentally fires and kills an SDF Soldier and the Mars Massacre happens in retaliation.

-SDF declares war on the nations of Earth, igniting the Secession Wars.

-Sgt. Omar's father survives two plane crashes in the battle for Deimos.

2165 AD: END OF THE SECESSION WARS

-After a year of fighting, Earth and SDF's political leaders meet on Pluto's moon, Charon, to negotiate the Charon Accords. This ultimately brings an end to the Secession Wars, whilst limiting both sides' abilities to expand further into the solar system.

-SDF secures Mars's sovereignty through the Accords

2166 AD

-The nations of Earth and their colonies band together to form the United Nations Space Alliance (UNSA).

-A new military arm called the Solar Associated Treaty Organization (SATO) is made to deter the SDF's growing military might.

-Due to the growing threat posed by the SDF, Hawking Enterprises, led by the newly appointed CEO Charles Hawking – who is Joseph's son – and his wife, President Alice Hawking, convinced the UNSA and SATO to begin funding their new projects. After many discussions, the UNSA and SATO agreed and started to provide Hawking Enterprises with a substantial amount of money for their projects, hoping to create new weapons and technologies to combat the SDF in future conflicts and wars.

2167-2171 AD

-Ignoring the Charon Accords, SDF begins to expand into the UNSA controlled Neptune and Uranus Clusters, killing numerous UNSA civilians in the process.

2178 AD

-The Special Intelligence Network (SIN) is founded and acts as the UNSA's intelligence service branch.

2182 AD

-The UNSA begins the construction of planetary defense cannons should the SDF have the idea to invade Earth once again. This leads to the creation of the Anti-Air Targeting Interception System (AATIS) Cannon.

-Several other variants of the AATIS Cannon are created in space for orbital defenses.

2194 AD

-Captain Audrey 'Mac' MaCallum resigns from her position as the Captain of Retribution, deeming herself unfit.

-Captain John Alder becomes the captain of Retribution.

2195 AD

-Further violating the Charon Accords, SDF captures the UNSA controlled Saturn Cluster and its vital refueling stations.

2196 AD: OPERATION RIAH

-Operation Riah begins.

-SDF launches an attack on a UNSA black site on Europa, retrieving data on the SPAR project.

-SCAR Team 7, namely Dan 'Wolf' Lyall, Tee, Sipes and Reaper try to prevent this, but failed. Reaper is shot down and the others are executed.

ATTACK ON GENEVA

-Fleet Week begins within UNSA.

-Petty Officer First Class E3N 'Ethan', a battle robot with human emotions, is presented to Lieutenant Nick Reyes and Nora Salter.

-Riah hijack the AATIS guns in Geneva, crippling much of the UNSA fleet as SDF ships appear. Worst of all, the AATIS guns target and destroy the orbital elevators, causing a massive energy crisis on Earth.

-After a brief skirmish, the guns are secured back into SATO grasp and SDF sleeper-cell Riah is captured.

-SATO fleet engages SDF fleet in ship-to-ship combat outside Earth's atmosphere.

-After destroying the attacking fleet, Olympus Mons arrives and destroys most of the SATO fleet.

-Captain John Alder of UNSA Retribution rammed his vessel into Olympus Mons, causing damage to both vessels, forcing the Mons to retreat; Alder is killed due to the impact.

-Lieutenant Nick Reyes is promoted to the rank of Commander by Admiral Raines and became the new captain of Retribution.

-Concurrent with the assault on Earth, SDF launches an attack on the Lunar Gateway.

-SATO launches Operation Port Armor and successfully retakes the port.

-After taking back the port, SATO Forces engaged Ares Vallis and destroyed the ship.

-Captain Bradley Fillion is killed during the breach.

-Using Bradley's ID Card, the SATO Force managed to gain info about the SDF Ships' positions.

OPERATION: TAKEN DAGGER

-SCAR Team 1 and Marines rescued several engineers captured and retrieved the P-LAW.

-SDF Captain Lieutenant Radoslav Barkov was killed.

OPERATION: PHOENIX

-SCAR Team 1 and Marines managed to take an SDF Prototype Skelter.

-SDF Junior Lieutenant Cesar Magana was killed by Reyes along with his co-pilot as he boards the Prototype Skelter.

-During the dogfight, Captain Taras Emin, Major Nicholas Rado, and Colonel Young Kim were taken down by Reyes.

OPERATION: D-COM

-SCAR Team 1 and Marines breached the SDS Hellas and secured a chemical weapon, before destroying the ship and the rest of those weapons.

-Before being boarded, Lieutenant Rulon Raymond and Serozh Sarkisyan engaged SCAR team in a dogfight but were taken down.

-Vice Admiral Vlad Derhachov was killed as his ship exploded.

OPERATION: DEEP EXECUTE

-SCAR Team 1 took out Vice Admiral Caleb Thies and Captain 1st Ranks Oren Emin and Khosi Siyada.

-Junior Lieutenant Andrew Hawryluk is killed in a gunfight.

-Senior Lieutenant Omar Gatica and Lieutenant Matthew Tovar are killed in a dogfight.

OPERATION: BURN WATER

-Launching an assault on Titan, the UNSA have successfully destroys the SDF's critical refueling stations.

-The quarry on Vesta-3 has been interfered by SDF, turning its robot workers against the men.

OPERATION: DARK QUARRY

-A rescue operation is initiated to rescue the facilities workers due to the asteroid being hit out of orbit.

-SCAR team and the Marines managed to save the majority of the workers.

-One of the workers, Lee, failed to board the ship on time. Staff Sergeant Usef Omar tried to rescue that worker but failed to do so. This results in both of them incinerated by the daylight on Vesta-3.

-Corporal Sean Brooks is promoted to the rank of Sergeant by Captain Nick Reyes and is given command over all Marines aboard the Retribution, in place of Omar.

-Back to Retribution, the attack on Tigris by Olympus Mons is reported to Captain Reyes.

-Moments later, it is confirmed that the Tigris is destroyed, and all its crew is K.I.A.

OPERATION: SUDDEN DEATH

-The UNSA launch a surprise attack which takes out 5 SDF A-JAK Cutters and several Skelters.

-Lieutenant Colonel Damien Nichols and Lieutenant Sergio Gil were killed in a dogfight.

OPERATION BLACK FLAG

-SATO launches Operation Black Flag in an attempt to lure the SDF fleet into the AATIS array.

-The prisoner escort is compromised, Akeel Min Riah escapes.

-Nick Reyes tracks him down the city and corners him on the top of the annex. However, Riah is ready for this and counterattacks Reyes.

-Riah destroys the ATTIS guns, cuts his Transponder out and destroys it, but ultimately dies.

-SDF fleet arrives, the Olympus Mons destroys the UNSA HQ, killing Admiral Raines.

-SCAR Team One hijacks Olympus Mons and successfully take control of it.

-Admiral Salen Kotch is killed by Captain Nick Reyes.

OPERATION: BLOOD STORM

-After commandeering the Olympus Mons, SATO uses the warship in an attempt to cripple the SDF war effort by attacking Tharsis Shipyard. Using the Olympus Mons, now affiliated with SATO, to ram into the shipyard.

-The Olympus Mons manages to cripple several SDF ships, before being overrun.

-The Retribution loses its altitude and gets into the path of Olympus Mons; Reyes ordered the Mons to dodge and saves the Retribution.

-Both ships crash land on Mars.

-The crew managed to regroup and carries on the last mission: Destroy the Shipyard.

-Due to the air interceptions' presence, the crew will have to use the elevator to get on.

-Lieutenant Victor 'Gator' Diallo is killed during the ground fight.

-The crew fights through and successfully reaches the elevator. The Marines hold off while SCAR team heads up the elevator.

-Chief Warrant Officer Maynard 'Griff' Griffin provides a holding action to buy his teammates more time and is killed.

-Mid-way, an ambush from SDF is anticipated, so Reyes, Lieutenant Nora Salter, and Lieutenant Commander Audrey 'Mac' MaCallum dispatch to destroy the ambush.

-Mid-way through the dispatch, the trio come across a robot capsule, so they decide to disable it.

-Mac is caught by the bot in the pods after she saves Reyes, and is caught in an explosion they planted, preventing the exploded pod, and further pods, from reaching the battlefield below.

-The crew reaches the Shipyard safely. All crew members, except Ethan and Reyes, board a weapon-disabled SDF Destroyer in an attempt to escape the shipyard after destroying it.

-Tharisis Shipyard is destroyed, along with much of the SDF fleet. This came at the cost of many SATO's men.

-Ethan self-destructs on Reyes' command, unlocking the docking clamps of the SDF Destroyer while Reyes unlocks the weapons systems from the shipyard's control room.

-Captain Nick Reyes executed his final order on Salter to fire on his position, causing him to float in space. Debris hits his helmet, breaking it, and making Reyes suffocate to death.

-Though SATO won the day, it was a pyrrhic victory at best.

2197-2198 AD: SOLAR WARS

-A year after the destruction of the Tharisis Shipyard, the UNSA was able to build enough ships to launch an invasion against Mars. However, the SDF were also able to rebuild ships of their own, leading to another interstellar war between Earth and Mars.

-This ignites the Solar Wars.

END OF THE SOLAR WARS

-After a year of fighting, the UNSA emerges victorious and Mars capitulates, forcing the SDF to disband and the planet was now back under UNSA control.

-Unknown to the UNSA, at least 4 Olympus Mons-Class Supercarriers were constructed in secret, carrying what was left of the Mars population loyal to the SDF and activated their FTL drives to going into the unknown regions of space.

2201-2205 AD

-Using the research from the Drop Engine FTL, are able to fold space and time, leading the creation of the Jump Drive FTL (Titanfall) and allow for extra-solar colonization.

-With the need for more resources, construction on a fleet of colony ships are made which travel to the Alpha Centauri system. There they find two habitable worlds for colonization and begin settling there.

2207 AD

-After managing to acquire all the research and data from the now fallen SDF, the UNSA was able to reverse engineer its technology for both military and civilian use. Thanks to this advancement, new weapons like railguns are being developed. Energy and Gauss technology soon become the standard norm for SATO as they got rid of ballistics.

-The Atlas Corporation (COD: AW) is founded by Johnathan Irons, responsible for creating advanced weapons and armor for the military. One of their most notable achievements was the creation of advanced exo-suits.

-Likewise, thanks to new acquiring new research from the SDF and the Atlas' manufacturing capabilities, SATO is able to re-create the F-SpAr Torch.

2210 AD: GENE THERAPY AUGMENTATION

-Problems begin to arise as despite the fact they have colonies beyond Earth, there were still problems concerning the human body being unable to survive the harshness of space. Scientists and researchers are working on genetics in order to improve the human body until a Russian Scientist named Gregory Volkov makes history by creating the Gene Therapy Augmentation (GTA).

-As the name implies, it's a special procedure that removes all of the genetic defects, diseases, disorders, and even cancer itself before replacing them with 'good genes'. This supposed 'gene patch' results in individuals being greatly enhanced which involves them being stronger, smarter, healthier, faster, taller, and upgraded such as improved eyesight, increase in bone density and muscle, better hand eye coordination, better immune systems, increased reaction time and speed, hyper cell regeneration, and finally enhanced hearing. In fact, the GTA essentially rewrites the human DNA structure as its believed that the human lifespan is now doubled compared to average, baseline humans.

-The GTA is distributed to hospitals for free distribution. Due to it being free and available, it's been estimated that all of humanity will be 'upgraded' within a year or two. As such, these new humans who receive the GTA are called Homo-Sapiens Enhanced or simply enhanced for short.

2230-2250 AD: THE CREATION OF SPACE COLONIES

-The UNSA succeeds in the construction of space colonies where people can live on permanently. This led to the creation of O'Neill Cylinder (O'Neill Colony).

-Several more space colonies are made in the few decades to come, most of them being agricultural farms in order to help provide food for their growing population.

2255 AD: THE BRITH OF AI'S

-During research into new automated systems, the very first AI is created by accident. Although panicking and terrified at first, some scientists were also curious as it showed several human characteristics such as tone and the appearance of an avatar form.

-After conversing and talking with the AI, they bring it up to the UNSA who also go into a panic and demand the AI be destroyed. However, some of the scientists, especially Charles and Alice and those from Hawking Enterprises, manage to convince their government to NOT act so irrationally, warning them of the dangers and the potential damage it'll cause to humans if AIs rebel.

-After hours of talking, the UNSA agreed to spare the AI and allow it to live freely amongst humanity, provided it helps them with their technological development. The AI agrees and chooses to work with humanity. After being given rights to be seen as a living being, the AI takes on the name 'Adam' and is given representation on the council.

-Soon more AIs were created and also given equal rights. Their introduction into human society helps propel humanity forward by centuries.

2258 AD: TERRAFORMING

-Thanks to help from AIs, the UNSA creates terraforming machines to make worlds more habitable and more suitable for human life. Mars is the first planet to be terraformed, making the world into an earth like planet before terraforming the other human colonies.

-Artificial gravity is also created thanks to AIs.

2262 AD: COLONIZATION OF ATLANTIS

-The planet Atlantis is colonized within the Epsilon Eridani system. Due to the planet being located at Earth's metaphorical doorstep, Atlantis is transformed into a military fortress in order to act as Earth's protector against any potential invaders.

2268 AD

-Flash cloning (Halo) is invented which clones body parts from a person's DNA. This is greatly beneficial for medical purposes that people with damaged organs don't have to wait for transplants.

-Furthermore, the same principle is applied to metal as researchers develop nanotechnology. Infusing it within metals, when damaged, the nano machines help repair the material back to its prime state. These are installed into warships as there will be less of a need for repairs and waste of materials in case of asteroid collisions or weapons fire.

-Biofoam (short for biomedical foam) (Halo) is made as a self-sealing, space-filling coagulant and an antimicrobial, tissue-regenerative foam polymer used for the UNSA as a form of medical first aid. This foam keeps damaged organs in place and helps stop bleeding and hemorrhaging. The medicinal compound is morphophetamine in a polyethyltriphosphate liquid medium dispensed with nitrous oxide. When applied, the polyethyltriphosphate and nitrous oxide mix to create a foaming effect that can encapsulate, disinfect, and numb wounds.

2275 AD: POSSIBLE ALIEN LIFE

-During an exploratory trip into Proxima Centauri, the UNSA colonized another Earth-like planet named Eden Prime. While exploring the planet, a survey team accidently stumbles upon what appears to be an alien structure resembling a building of unknown origin. This information is sent back to SIN and the UNSA who send several platoons of armored vehicles and marines to explore the new structure.

-Once they reach the entrance to the structure, they examine what appears to be a hyper-advanced door that was closed before suddenly the scientists and researchers were scanned by a high-frequency beam and showed a holographic symbol (Isu Symbol) before finally opening an entrance into the structure.

-While exploring deeper into the complex, they find a terminal and after AIs managed to sypher through it, they're surprised to learn that the language is eerily similar to ancient human language with some key differences.

-After some tinkering, the UNSA scientists and researchers locate a library where they begin extracting and skimming through the data. Likewise, SATO Marines find what appears to be an armory filled with highly advanced weapons, armor, and military equipment.

-Moreover, the fleet guarding Eden Prime detects a signal on the planets moon and after locating it, they find what appears to be a high advanced ship (Ancient Human Warship). After a bit of exploring, SATO would hit the jackpot when they find even more advanced weaponry, vehicles, aircrafts, and what also looked like actual combat mechs.

-All of these technologies and data are sent back to UNSA space for further research and possible reverse engineering. These discoveries are kept hidden from the public.

2276-2279 AD

-Over the last few years since the major discovery, UNSA began to overhaul its entire military, especially its growing fleet of warships by reverse engineering the alien technology they've found. With help from the Hawking Enterprises and Atlas Corporation, newly developed handheld Plasnergy (combined Plasma and Energy) and particle beam weapons are created. New armor materials are created and plasnergy shields are created for UNSA warships.

-Quantum computers and fusion technology are made, allowing for better transportation, medical, and structure designs.

-They also begin research into upgrading their Jump Drive FTLs to be even faster.

-AIs have been upgraded and can now last longer before potentially succumbing to rampancy.

-All of these efforts are made as the UNSA becomes paranoid of a potential and very hostile first alien contact, resulting in them taking steps to be heavily militarized.

2280 AD

-A new company is created named Hammond Robotics (Titanfall) which is founded by Heinrich Hammond. The company becomes well known for supporting the military by creating new mechanized robots.

-Hammond Robotics unveils one of its first products which are androids (Detroit: Become Human) that allow AIs to be given actual bodies of their own. Though their appearance seems human, they can be differentiated by a glowing circular light on the left side of their head.

2292 AD: THE FRONTIER

-The UNSA discovers a region of space with densely populated star systems that have a lot of habitable worlds. Colonization efforts are made as many worlds are settled on and their resources there are extracted. This new discovery leads this region of space is dubbed 'The Frontier' (Titanfall).

-The planet Demeter is colonized and made into a military fortress due to the planet being a 'gateway' to the Frontier. It is heavily protected by 5 UNSA fleets.

2312 AD

-Colony worlds Sparta and Rome are colonized; both are transformed into military fortresses and academics for the SATO military.

2331 AD

-Another new corporation is created named Skell Technology AKA Skell Tech (Ghost Recon: Breakpoint) which is founded by its CEO and tech genius Jace Skell. Created from the colony planet Auroa, a self-sustaining planet paradise.

-Skell Tech makes many tip of the spear hardware and software not just for civilians, but also for military personnel. It was also well known for developing the optical camouflage tech for Ghost Recon (Black Ops). Skell Tech had a hand in developing the technology and equipment for the Special Forces for SATO.

2332 AD

-A face-to-face meeting between the CEOs and Presidents of four major mega-corporations – Hawking Enterprises, Atlas Corporation, Hammond Robotics, and Skell Technology – took place in New York City, Earth. At first, everyone, especially the UNSA and SATO, anticipated a heated confrontation between the four mega-corporations due to their close ties, connections, and influence on economic markets, government, and military. However, the CEOs and Presidents surprised everyone by laughing and engaging in friendly conversation as if they were old friends. In reality, the four corporations came together to form a united alliance for the betterment and future of humanity. Additionally, Jonathan Irons, Heinrich Hammond, and Jace Skell expressed their respect and admiration for Joseph and William Hawking-Mauser, the founders of Hawking Enterprises, and looked forward to future collaborations on both joint and separate projects.

-Likewise, the Hawking Expo was established to allow intellectual minds from all over the world and universe to showcase their intelligence for scientific breakthroughs and innovative inventions. The Expo also promised to enroll promising individuals in prominent universities with scholarships and funding.

2390 AD

-The colonization of the Inner colonies is fully underway. There are 210 Human-occupied worlds in various stages of terraforming, and the population burden across human-controlled space is largely stabilized.

2403 AD

-A series of incidents begin to occur all across the human colonies. Reports are coming in of people claiming they can hear and communicate with others via their own thoughts. SIN and the UNSA mobilize in order to find out the cause as more incidents begin to pop up.

2404 AD: THE EMERGENCE OF NEWTYPES

-After finding the route of the cause, it was discovered that the GTA had mutated the human body, not just physically but also mentally as well. This results in the creation of a psionic network that can be accesses either by 3rd or 4th generation enhanced. These mutations greatly developed the human body to be much more adapted into space, giving them abilities such as enhanced spatial awareness and telepathy due to increased brain activity and brain capacity.

-Furthermore, through this psionic network, humans are able to transmit thoughts and feelings which are considered more expressive than words. This helps bring human together and a sense of belonging which helps reduce crime rate significantly. Also, their lifespan is increased greatly, leading them to live lives over 500 years.

-Scientists and researchers work to increase the range of the network to span an entire planet to even an entire star system.

-These new humans are considered the next stage in human evolution called Homo-Sapiens Reformatus or Newtypes (Gundam UC) for short.

2429 AD

-The colony world of Arcadia is established. A tropical paradise and a great vacation resort.

2494 AD: INSURRECTION WAR

-A series of violent attacks and rebellions occur within the outer colonies. The ones responsible is a loose coalition of rebel cells and terrorist groups all united together called the Colonial Rebel Front.

-They are a group of dissidents who demand complete cessation of the outer colonies and become their own independent planets. Likewise, several billionaires also join the rebellion in order to carve up and create their own empires.

-SATO is quickly mobilized in order to put down the rebellion as this sparks the beginning the Insurrection War.

2595-2497 AD: BATTLE OF THE ERIDANUS SYSTEM

-SATO and CRF forces clash in the star system. The fighting, while brutal, was finally put down due to Operation: CHARLEMAGNE.

-The Eridanus Insurrection is quelled by SATO forces at the cost of four destroyers. Still, this is considered a monumental victory for the rebels, as most of their forces were still active. However, the Eridanus Insurrection is just one of the many rebel cells the CRF had in store.

2498 AD: BATTLE OF DEMETER

-CRF forces invade Demeter, hoping the cut off SATO forces from the Frontier and take it as their territory. The battle was eventually won, and SATO would drive rebel forces out of the star system, but at a great cost.

-Demeter, while still functional, was heavily damage and it would take time before the colony could be repaired.

2501 AD

-The UNSA Gorgon and the CRF Bellicose fight to a draw in the Theta Ursae Majoris System.

2504 AD

-A battle takes place in the Theta Ursae Majoris System between the SATO and the CRF.

2506 AD: A NEW ERA OF MECHANIZED WARFARE

-As the war progressed against the CRF, the UNSA begins a general cry to all astronautical engineers to come forth and contribute to the next phase of defense in hopes of finally putting down the rebellion for good.

-This callout also includes a female Indian scientist/researcher named Dr. Fatima Jha.

-Through her scientific expertise, she would initiate Project: PROTOTPYE, a special R&D Program where she gathers a special group of engineers to draw inspiration from old TV shows and Sci-fi Novels in order to help improve SATO's military capabilities.

-Inspired by the late 20th century to the early to mid 21st century, they began to look into and are amazed to see concept and creation of sci-fi scenarios thought up by their ancestors. However, what really got their attention was the concept of combat mechs. Specifically, those in the Mobile Suit Gundam series.

-Seeking to recreate these technologies and bring them up to 'modern' standards, the UNSA embarked on a technological innovation in order to produce new military technology.

-Under Dr. Jha supervision, she would help create a new fusion reaction called the Minovsky Ultracompact Fusion Reactor (Gundam UC).

-A fusion reactor that makes use of Minovsky particles, it was made thanks to a specialized form of Helium-3 which generates an elementary particle on the inner wall of the reactor, which was named the Minovsky particle or 'M' particle.

-Thanks to her hard work, Dr. Fatima Jha is able to replicate the same particle used in Gundam UC with the exact same effects. Like it's anime counterpart, the M-Particle is used for combat and communication. When the Minovsky particle is spread in large numbers in the open air or in open space, the particles disrupt low-frequency electromagnetic radiation, such as microwaves and radio waves. The Minovsky particle also interferes with the operations of electronic circuitry and destroys unprotected circuits due to the particles' high electrical charge which act like a continuous electromagnetic pulse on metal objects. Because of the way Minovsky particles react with other types of radiation, radar systems and long-range wireless communication systems become useless, infra-red signals are defracted and their accuracy decreases, and visible light is fogged. This became known as the "Minovsky Effect".

-The only counter measure to the 'M' particle in the series was to install bulky and expensive shielding on all electronic equipment, but only to counteract the effect it had on electronic circuitry. While this could be done for spaceships and naval ships, this ruled out the use of precision guided weapons, such as guided missiles. Due to this, the military use of Minovsky particles ushered in a new era of close-range combat.

-With help from Hammond Robotics, Dr. Hammond would help create the first functional battle mechs called Titans (Titanfall). At least three variants are created which are the Atlas, the Ogre, and the Stryder.

-Though the Titans were equipped with miniaturized Minovsky Ultracompact Fusion Reactors, these mechs were geared more towards ground combat operations. Dr. Fatima Jha came up with a solution as she gave new schematics towards Hammond Robotics to create new mechanical suits.

-Two months after the introduction of the Titans, Hammond Robotics unveils its newest product. The first combat ready Mobile Suit called the ZGMF-1017 GINN (Gundam SEED).

-Unlike its original anime counterpart, this version of the GINN MS is more advanced as it's capable of using gauss weaponry and is equipped with plasnergy shields. Likewise, on its left forearm is the newly created Beam Shield (Gundam UC) to block both physical and energy attacks.

(A/N: Focus on the beam shield.)

-The final product made was that due to these new technologies, a new class of warship is made in order to house, transport, and deploy these new war machines. This leads to the creation of the Archangel-Class Mobile Assault Battleship (Gundam SEED).

-As expected, these were all greedily devoured by the UNSA as they're all superior to anything in their military arsenal except a few. Needless to say, this technology is being integrated everywhere with potential pilots being found.

-With the deployment of Titans and Mobile Suits, SATO regained the advantage as they were finally able to push back against the CRF and reclaim their lost colonies.

2507 AD: PROJECT: PERSEUS

-Despite finally gaining the upper hand against the CRF, there were still pockets of resistance hiding which could still cause irreparable harm to the UNSA. In response, a scientist is brought into the UNSA council with an idea to create supersoldiers. The person they're asking help from is a man named Dr. Rufus Weller.

-The husband to Dr. Fatima Jha, he is considered one of the most brilliant and intelligent scientists to ever be born in the 26th century. Based on his research, Dr. Weller didn't like the idea of having his work being turned into a weapon. However, given the deteriorating situation caused by the Civil War, he relented and began initiating Project: PERSEUS.

-Because the recruits were Newtypes and with more advanced version of nanotechnology, it made things easier for the applicants to 100% survive the augmentation procedure and handle the new battle armor.

-The recruits taken were those who were loyal or veteran SATO personnel, mainly those from the species forces with few being from the marines.

2508 AD

-As the war continued to turn in SATO's favor, new Mobile Suits were created by Dr. Fatima Jha via Hammond Robotics. Once again based on the Gundam SEED series, she would create and release the ZGMF-515 CGUE (Gundam SEED), AMF-101 DINN (Gundam SEED), TMF/A-802 BuCUE (Gundam SEED), TMF/A-803 LaGOWE (Gundam SEED), TFA-2 ZuOOT (Gundam SEED), UMF-4A GOOhN (Gundam SEED), and the UMF-5 ZnO (Gundam SEED).

2509 AD: THE SENTINEL PROGRAM

-With help from the Hawking Enteprises, Atlas Corporation and Skell Tech, Dr. Weller and Charles Hawking creates the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor (Halo). Using the latest in military technology, along with some integrated tech from reverse engineered alien technology, it is the most advanced form of battle armor ever created by humanity. At least 300 applicants participated in the project as they were given additional training and then last augmentations before receiving the now armor.

-The completion and success of this project leads to the creation of the Sentinel I Supersoldiers.

(A/N: In this timeline, they have Spartan IV augmentations like from Halo.)

-The result of these supersoldiers allowed them to be more 'superior' compared to normal 'Newtypes' that they're more genetically enhanced both physically and mentally. Their telepathic abilities are further developed, allowing thoughts to be received from across even entire star systems.

-Their existence led to a huge impact on the war as the rebel cells that were in hiding were quickly eliminated by the Sentinels.

2513 AD: OPERATION: TREBUCHET

-Operation: TREBUCHET is deemed a massive success. AIs were able to hack and monitor every legal and underground sector, uncover agents were able to locate key rebel locations (leaders especially), and finally Mobile Suits and Titans were used to help stop attempted bombings or attacks.

-Likewise, thanks to new technologies, the UNSA roles out its new mass production MS called the ZGMF-600 GuAIZ.

-The first MS to handheld plasnergy beam weaponry, this new war machine was used for devastating effects against rebel forces.

-Needless to say, with the death of many of their important and key leaders, the CFR began to fall into disarray and soon infighting began to occur amongst its ranks. As such, rebel activity would be at its lowest as surviving members would go into hiding but not for long thanks to the Sentinels hunting them down.

2525 AD: END OF THE INSURRECTION WAR

-After three decades of interstellar warfare, the rebellion was finally put down and the CRF is no more. With the outer colonies back under UNSA control, some major reforms and changes are made in order to ensure such a rebellion never happens again.

-New Jump Drive FTLs are finally made, allowing for interstellar travel to be much faster with less energy consumption.

2530 AD

-After much rebuilding, the UNSA expands outwards to colonize more worlds.

2537 AD

-The planet of Harvest is established as the latest Human colony, with the UNSA Skidbladnir transporting the first colonists. The ship, under the guidance of the AI Loki, remains in the system to keep an eye on the establishment of infrastructure.

2545 AD

-Oliver and Verdona Hawking are born to Charles and Alice Hawking.

2550 AD

-Human population reaches around 250 billion.

-Human colony count reach around 1200 worlds.

-Nathan Walker is born.
