Noble Team Part 2

Name: Emile Thatcher

Age: 29

Nationality: American

Callsigns/Nicknames:

Guardian-A239

Emile-A239

The Merciless Wrath

Famous Quotes:

-"Who's next?!"

-"I'm ready! How bout you?!"

-"That's what you get when you mess with a Guardian."

Military Rank: Warrant Officer

Background: Born in America, specifically in the state of Texas, he was orphaned at a young age due to American terrorist and rebels who were Neo-Confederates/White Supremacists who gunned down his family without mercy. Though he survived, it left a profound impact. As an orphan, he was given a chance at a better life by joining the military and due to his skillset, he was chosen to join the Guardian Program. Discovering that he could fill the hole in his heart with the corpses of his enemies, Emile quickly adapted and excelled in his training. After receiving his augmentations and getting his PHALANX Powered Assault Armor, he was soon assigned to join Noble Team. As a Guardian, his actions made him a controversial figure when dealing with rebels and terrorists, mainly when it comes to Emile's excessive and brutal violence in combat. Despite that, Carter still kept him around, mainly because he's smart enough to know that some missions will require a more... 'delicate' approach.

Personality: Emile believed maintaining one's humanity during a conflict for survival to be irrational - that both ideas cannot co-exist, so he decided early on in his career to never let them. As such, he favored an aggressive and loud approach to combat, wanting to prove to everyone (as well as himself) that he was not afraid of the enemy nor was he afraid of doing whatever was necessary to win the war. It was for this reason that Emile was often guilty of overkill, but his apparent sadism was in actuality an affectation - he did what he did because he knew that it could potentially break the enemy's will to fight, not necessarily because he enjoyed it. The one personal action Emile took to signify his victories were the scratches he made on his visor - each of the hundreds of marks that make up its skull-visage in order to threaten the Covenant opposition at first sight.

JSF High Command noted that Emile-A239's excessive use of force made it hard to field him against insurrectionists due to the unfavorable reaction in civilian media. The reason he wasn't gotten rid of was mainly because of Emile's commander. Emile was noted to have had the most difficulty interacting with non-Guardians than any other member of Noble Team. He treated civilians with suspicion and disregard, which led to confrontations between him and the more empathetic Jorge. Despite his hard outlook, he held a deep respect for his teammates, as well as readiness and loyalty to sacrifice himself in order to complete the mission. Despite his abrasive outlook, Emile was nonetheless respected by his peers. He was described as being detail-oriented and unbreakable, an effective member of his unit while in the field and one that maintained strict discipline off the field.

Famous Quotes:

-"Let the big man do his job."

Military Rank: Chief Warrant Officer

Background: Born in Scottland, he was born into a military who had a proud history of military service. Enlisting to the military at the age of 20, the training his received was harsh, especially when it came to his drill instructor. An example is during his first day of training, a trainer mispronounced his name by calling him by the Spanish pronunciation. Jorge quickly corrected the trainer only to be shocked and reprimanded for 'back talking'. Eventually he would serve in the military and became a veteran soldier who fought during WW3. By the end of the war, he would get married and eventually have a daughter. However, the appearance of remnant rebels and terrorists would force him back into the military. Due to his skillset and experience, he is chosen by Dr. Halsey to join the Guardian program. After receiving his augmentations and getting his PHALANX Powered Assault Armor, he would go on to join Noble Team. Essentially being the 'tank' of the team, Jorge is committed to his job and his line of duty to the European Federation and the whole of the United Federation of Nations.

Personality: Jorge was the only member of Noble Team that had seen as much action, if not more, against human militants. Described as being very difficult to read, he was free with his opinions, vocal in his support of provincial self-rule, and just as vocal in his condemnation of the rebel and terrorist movements. He was shown to be empathetic and caring toward civilians. In a performance report, he was noted as 'inspiring confidence in those around him' and being 'rock solid' despite his long military career. On a side note, Jorge is an excellent card player. Jorge is fluent in the Hungarian language, including one instance where he introduces himself by saying, 'A nevem Jorge' ('My name is Jorge'). This is due to the fact he had a techers who were Hungarian, and he became an expert in speaking the language.

Name: Yu Ijin

Age: 19

Nationality: Korean

Callsigns/Nicknames:

Guardian-B312

Ijin-B312

The Lone Wolf

Famous Quotes:

-"I aim to please."

-"I don't get it."

Military Rank: Lieutenant

Background: Born in Korea, Ijin was nine when he and his parents were involved in a plane crash. Although Ijin survived, he was orphaned and was stranded from his remaining family. On top of that, he also lost his memories about his past. Eventually he was taken in by an unnamed group which is a special experimental unit under Iron (a global private military corporation). In this experimental unit 1000 people were put under extreme training, which only 40 people managed to survive in the end. These people were called 'the numbers'. Ijin underwent harsh training together with the other numbers and he worked as a top-class mercenary for about five years, serving in the harshest battlefields across the world. At some point, he defected from the camp, when he was ordered to kill a mother and a young girl while working as a mercenary. At that time his memory also started to return. It was said that the camp suffered near annihilation when they tried to kill Ijin for defecting, but rumors spread that he died during that night. Nevertheless, he was still alive and continued to work as a mercenary under a different alias (Code name 'JIN') for about 5 years.

Later, during a rescue mission, he saved a RoK major named Kang Hamchan, his team and a doctor named Andrian Ken. Kang Hamchan traced Ijin's family and helped him retire. Ijin underwent a six-month orientation from Major Kang to help him adjust to civilian life. He's currently living with his grandfather and his sister in Seoul. Aside from attending Shinan high school, Ijin works as a part time bodyguard at the SW group's security team, along with his fellow classmate Koh Sukjoo. However, certain events had led to Ijin's past catching up to him. As a result, he was eventually contacted by the PAMC military who helped him deal with the last remnants of the camp and killed its infamous leader Mad Dog. As for the surviving numbers, most were killed while those Ijin considered friends or allies were allowed to live.

During the aftermath, Ijin was approached by Dr. Halsey who offered him the means necessary to protect his family and knowing the danger they're potentially in, Ijin accepted the offer, much to the protest of some of his friends and family. By joining the Guardian program, Ijin would receive his augmentations and be given his PHALANX Powered Assault Armor before being deployed on solo missions due to his past experience. Often described as a 'Grim Reaper', Ijin would be responsible for making entire militia groups disappear. On one occasion, he would even meet and work with a fellow Guardian named John S. Grant. The two worked well together due to them being 'Lone Wolves' and child soldiers who joined their respective militaries at a young age. In in turn would lead the two to 'somewhat' develop a mutual respect for each other which some would mistake as a sign of friendship.

Eventually Ijin would be assigned to work for Noble Team as their new team member. Though new to the team, they would eventually warm up to him and vice versa. Now as a Guardian, Ijin is determined to protect his family and friends, willing to do whatever it takes to make sure they have the chance to live in a peaceful world.

Personality: Due to grueling training as a mercenary, Ijin is a composed and reserved individual who never panics in the face of danger and is very astute and decisive- qualities that can be prominently seen in combat. He gradually explores the concepts of love and affection after reuniting and spending time with his family, which he begins to value above anything else. After he begins to attend high school, Ijin is able to make friends and frequently joins them to play Legends of League (MOBA) at the internet cafe. He is noted to be inept at video games but is unusually adept at actual combat.

He is the strong silent type, who speaks less and listens more. He almost never shows his emotions when fighting and there are countless times when he is shown to be simply listening and thinking about things he sees or hears. He is emotionally stable and has only shown extreme distress when (1) when he remembers his plane crash with his parents at 9 years age, and (2) when he was ordered to kill a mother and young girl while working as a mercenary.

Being an experienced mercenary and now a Guardian supersoldier, Ijin often has a tendency to 'go solo' during missions, much to the dismay of his superiors. Despite having a tragic past, highly potent skills, and a reserved, 'lone wolf' personality, Ijin shows care and compassion for his fellow people and allies; the Guardian often undertook life-threatening actions to assist soldiers, civilians, and the other members of Noble Team. Although Ijin became fairly close to the other members of Noble Team, he shared a great deal of camaraderie with Jorge, and the two soon became friends.
