"So. Why exactly have you brought me to the worst smelling place in japan at an hour so ungodly that the devil himself isn't even awake?" Izuku questions his blonde mentor, in front of the two of them is the landfill that has become of the formerly beautiful beach.

"Because young Midoriya, you are going to clean this beach, In order for you to be able to contain and use the power I am going to give you your body needs to be stronger. If I were to give you One for All right now, your limbs would blow off your body." Toshinori says, this conjures a picture in Izuku's mind of his head, arms and legs blowing off of himself and he shudders.

"I get that part but I still want to know why Dagobah of all places? It's a slimy cesspool of vile, filth and rot." Izuku responds, His voice slightly different due to him holding his nose and visibly gagging.

"Hosu is a slimy cesspool of crime and villainy, It is your job to clean up that mess when you become a hero and what better way than to start your hero career than to clean up another mess of illegal activity." Toshinori reaches into the back seat of his old Ford truck before grabbing a pair of ear plugs, a painter's mask and a gas mask. "This should help with the smell."

"Thank you." Izuku says putting the earplugs up his nose, then the painter's mask over his face and finally the gas mask. "Mmmm mmm hmmm!" Izuku shouts but with the things over his face Toshinori has no idea what he said.

"I'll take that as you're getting started. You can take a break at 8am and at noon then you're done at 4 this afternoon. You should have a bit done by that point, I brought some bento boxes for your breakfast and lunch. I will be back in a few hours to check up on your progress. I have to patrol from not until noon." Toshinori says before handing Izuku the bento boxes he had prepared in advance then waving goodbye as he drives off.

"Well, better get started. I have ten months before the entrance exams so I'm gonna be strong enough to use that power at 200%!" Izuku thinks to himself before putting on the work gloves he had brought with him and getting to work.

Now, before anyone asks, yes this is just as disgusting as you have imagined. Decaying food, rotting trash and the occasional greasy black banana peel make this task absolutely revolting. Now, to the other question. How did he get into this in the first place? Well thanks to Katsuki's half assed way of bottling up the slime villain before handing it to All Might, the villain managed to escape and just so happen to drop on Katsuki's head. Then it promptly burst open and attacked him. Izuku, still being in the area, rushed to the scene after hearing one of the explosions from his best friend. As he arrives at the scene he sees Katsuki being restrained by the slime villain. Reacting without thinking, Izuku rushed in to save his best friend, throwing his book bag into the eye of the slime villain. (He returned to the school to grab it since Izutsuki forgot all their stuff in the classroom.) This gave him enough of a window to fuse with Katsuki but it happened differently this time. Instead of the fusion dance they typically did when fusing, Izuku grabbed Katsuki's hand and pulled him. His quirk activated and both were turned into the same cyclone of energy rebirthing Izutsuki who promptly vaporized the slime villain. So that's how we got here, as for the whole Jedi Dagobah training that will be discussed in the next paragraph.

Shortly after saving Katsuki both boys were reamed out by the pros for using their quirks in public, this prompted Katsuki to lash out and start yelling at the pros who were standing around twiddling their thumbs. All Might eventually stepped in and took Katsuki's and Izuku's side in the matter that had happened. On Izuku's way home, he ran into All Might who revealed his entire story, the wound on his torso, the time limit and the ability to give Izuku his quirk. After basically being drowned by questions and 'Mutter' kanjis from Izuku, the pro offered him his power and said that he would train Izuku to be his successor. That is where Izuku finds himself now, as for why the author didn't just make the events above their own chapters, well I couldn't exactly think about what to do and literally just had bullet points. Moving on from the fourth wall break.

"How is it that All Might offered you his power? Your quirk is already stupid powerful as is?" Katsuki asks, sitting on the stairs leading down to the beach.

"Well, my quirk only works when I fuse with somebody meaning I have to rely on others to even use my powers. I can't get into UA just by tagging on and acting like a backup power battery in the fusions Kacchan. Your quirk will put you at the top of the class in the entrance exams alone and your smarts will get a pretty high score on the written. I won't be able to do much in the practical portion without it, unless there's something else about my quirk that I do not know of that I can do." Izuku replies moving the mask off his face so Katsuki can hear him properly.

"Well, I guess that makes sense but have you even tried to fuse with objects and not people? We don't have to do the fusion dance to fuse apparently so surely you can fuse with objects and compounds." He asks, throwing the green haired teen a piece of rebar he had gotten from somewhere.

"Dude! I'm trying to clean the beach, You adding more crap to it isn't helping." Izuku protests.

"I'm giving it to you to fuse with, moron. If my theory is right, you can fuse with anything that is composed of elements within your body, Carbon, Iron, Oxygen, etcetera. If i'm right, you can fuse with something as hard as diamond or just fuse with a fuckin diamond and be a walking tank. Besides it'll probably help with that buy one get one free quirk or what ever it's called."

"One for All."

"Sounds like communism."

"Shut up, but in all seriousness thanks for the help with your idea, now let's see if that will work." Izuku chastises picking up the 50cm long piece of rebar.

Concentrating on the object with the same mindset he has when he fuses with Katsuki he closes his eyes and invisions himself becoming one with the metal. Katsuki rests his chin on his fist bored out of his mind watching Deku try to figure out how to fuse with the piece of steel in his hands. Suddenly, Izuku's arms start to become the same green cyclone of energy that appears when the two fuse, the rebar transforms into a rust colored light before being enveloped by the cyclone of energy. "Holy shit. It fuckin worked." Katsuki says as Izuku stops using his quirk revealing that his hands and forearms up to the elbow are now a steely grey color.

"Woah." Izuku says looking at his hands, though slightly more stiff to move than before he's able to use his hands and flex his fingers looking at the steel now incorporated inside his arms. "I can't believe it actually worked." Izuku says punching his fists together getting a similar sound that a hammer on an anvil makes, as well as some sparks.

"I can't believe it took you a decade to figure out you can fuse with objects instead of just people." Katsuki says with a smirk.

"Oh, themes fighting words. C'mere!" Izuku shouts after taking off after Katsuki trying to hit him.

"Oh you wanna go! I'll kick your ass Deku!" Katsuki shouts lunging back at Izuku, sparking miniature explosions in his hands.

"Boys." All Might's voice stops the two before the first punch is thrown. The two turn to face him simultaneously and drop their fighting stances. "Young Midoriya has a task to do young Bakugou and this is equivalent to a herculean feat for him. I appreciate you helping him learn more of his quirk but I have to ask you not to distract him."

"Yes sir. Alright Deku, we'll have to save our fight for some other time." Katsuki says offering his fist.

"I'll be the one who wins this time." Deku responds with a smirk before returning the fist bump before Katsuki walks off.

"Why did it take you over 10 years to realise you can fuse with objects?" All Might asks with Izuku just shrugging.

"Don't know, but I do have a few ideas for how I can use this and One for All at the same time." Izuku says before putting the mask back on his face and getting back to work.

Over the next few weeks of Izuku's training at Dagobah, All Might makes it a point to have Izuku train with fusing metal into himself as he works. The two quickly learn that the mass Izuku incorporates into himself doesn't go away; it adds on to the weight of his body wherever he fuses with said object. Learning of this in an interesting fashion when Izuku tried to fuse with a 25kg (55lbs) dumbbell using his hands, this subsequently dropped his hands like a stone towards the ground since they both individually weigh 12.5kgs (27lbs) now. However despite the weight being higher there were some interesting side effects to the fusions. With the fact that his muscles are now literally biosteel when fused, his strength has improved greatly when fused with metals. This let's him train and lift heavier and heavier things to strengthen his muscles. The time it takes him to get noticeably stronger was now a fraction of the time if he wouldn't have been using his quirk. All Might didn't tell him this but, if Izuku constantly trained incorporating metals into himself and then doing intensive weight training he should be able to use nearly a quarter of the full power of One for All before the UA entrance exams. That is an outcome he hopes for, with a strong successor the anxiety of the future to come will be lessoned greatly on the old pro.
