Foods you would like to try

This would be hard because I am fussy and I am afraid to try new food but there are some I would like to try.

1. Calas (New Orleans)

Dumplings composed primarily of cooked rice, yeast, sugar, eggs, and flour, the resulting batter is deep-fried. It is traditionally a breakfast dish, served with coffee or cafe au lait, and has a mention in most Creole Cuisine cookbooks. Calas are also referred to as Creole rice fritters or rice doughnuts. (I been afraid to try dumplings because I have heard some dumplings has meat in it but it seem like this one I would like)

The second video is actually part 1 and the first video is part 2. The first video talks about the foods in New Orleans and the second video shows the different sights.

2.  Montreal-style bagel (Montreal)

A distinctive variety of handmade and wood-fired baked bagel. In contrast to the New York-style bagel, or the East Coast Style Bagel which also contains sourdough, the Montreal bagel is smaller, thinner, sweeter and denser, with a larger hole, and is always baked in a wood-fired oven. It contains malt, egg, and no salt and is boiled in honey-sweetened water before being baked.

3. Pan de Muerto (Mexican)

Spanish or "bread of the dead", also called pan de los muertos in Mexico, is a type of pan dulce traditionally baked in Mexico during the weeks leading up to the Dia de Muertos, which is celebrated from October 31st to November 2nd. (I would love to go to Mexico during that time and celebrate the day of the dead. I love Halloween/Samhain and would love to see a different culture celebrate it.

4. Yorkshire Pudding (English)

Common English side dish consisting of a baked pudding made from batter consisting of eggs, flour, and milk or water. It is a versatile food that can be served in numerous ways depending on the choice of ingredients, the size of the pudding, and the accompanying components of the dish. As a first course, it can be served with onion gravy. For a main course, it may be served with beef and gravy, and is part of the traditional Sunday roast, but can also be filled with foods, such as bangers and mash to make a meal. (If I would try this it would be just that and not part of the whole meal)

5. Bairin Breac (Irish)

A kind of current cake which contains a golden ring. Traditionally eaten around Halloween in Ireland. (I would also love to go to Ireland for Halloween and see how they celebrate that holiday)

6.  Scottish tablet (Scottish)

Tablet is a braw choice when it comes to Scottish treats. Imagine sugar, condensed milk and butter that have been cooked together until crystallized. The result is a wee piece of Scottish heaven. Even whiskey can be found in some tablet. This delectable confection is made all over Scotland.

7. Welsh rarebit or Welsh rabbit (Welsh)

Is a traditional Welsh dish made with a savory sauce of melted cheese and various other ingredients and served hot, after being poured over slices or other pieces of toasted bread or served in a chafing dish like fondue. The names of the dish originates from 18th-century Britain. Despite the names, the dish contains no rabbit meat. (I'm glad about that. I hate meat)

The Andorran version of the famous French creme brulee. The difference is basically that instead of the burned sugar top, the Andorrans use some freshly whipped thick cream.

11. Speculaas or Speculoo (Dutch)

Type of spiced shortcrust biscuit, traditionally baked for consumption on or just before St. Nicholas' day in the Netherlands (5 December), Belgium (6 December), Luxembourg (6 December), and around Christmas in Germany and Austria. Speculaas are thin, very crunchy, caramelized, slightly browned and, most significantly, have some image or figure (often from the traditional stories about St. Nicholas) stamped on the front side before baking; the back is flat.

12. Cannoli (Italian)

Italian pastries that originated on the island of Sicily and are today a staple of Sicilian cuisine as well as Italian-American cuisine. Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta. They range in size from "cannulicchi", no bigger than a finger, to the fist-sized proportions typically found south of Palermo, Sicily, in Piana degli Albanesi. In the mainland Italy they are commonly known as cannoli siciliani.

13. Spring roll (Vegetables)

I don't really like vegetables but I want to try to eat healthier. I want to go vegan for ethical reasons and health. I know most of these foods on this list are not. There are egg or dairy or honey in it but I still would like to try it. I do plan on going vegan next year as part of my new year resolution. I would like to try incorporating vegetarian meals into my diet. My goal really is to be a reducatarian. Eating less animal products and causing less animal suffering.

14. Pineapple bread

Pineapple bread is a sweet bread originating in Hong Kong, very popular, and found in nearly every bakery. The surface of the bread looks a pineapple, hence the name, but the traditional variety doesn't actually contain pineapple. A mixture of sugar, eggs, flour, and lard form a crisp surface with soft bread underneath, and it's best eaten when hot.
