Jeno was in his room getting his phone as he just finished cooking dinner for the Na family and was waiting for the married couple to arrive.

The sound of a door slammed shut echoed through the house as he jolts up at the loud sound almost dropping his already cracked mobile phone.

He opens the door to check what was going on as yelling was heard downstairs making him both scared and curious.

He stops when he sees Natalia standing behind one of the railings of the stairs, hiding her small body as she watches the two people screaming their lungs out.

"What the fuck was that huh?! I told you not to do that kind of shit around!" A low voice yelled.

"I was just playing around Jaemin! It doesn't matter what we do in that fucking meeting because none of us are bothered by it!" Another voice yelled back, a feminine one.

Jeno was trembling a bit, the yelling scared him and reminded him of his parents back at home. This is why he doesn't want to be around betas and alphas, they're too scary.

The scents of the two alphas, with one pure and the other not, spreads through the house reaching the staircase making the omega gulp. They're angry.

He peeks to see Jaemin and Heejin screaming at each other in the living room having an argument about who knows what.

He glances at Natalia raising a brow in confusion when the little girl was just staring at her parents and seemingly unfazed at the situation.

"Talia sweetie?" He calls earning a hum as the little girl turns her head and changes his attention towards their house maid. "Are you alright dear?" He asked kneeling down to meet her level.

Natalia nodded, "why ask puppy?" She said not getting a clue on why her babysitter looked worried for her.

Jeno glances at the married couple before clearing his throat, "your parents are fighting baby, are you not scared? Even with them yelling?" He asked curiously and worried for the little girl's well-being.

Natalia shook her head, "they do that a lot." She said before turning back to look at her parents still screaming at each other, "mommy and daddy always fight. Even if Talia isn't looking." She said.

The omega frowned feeling sorry for the little girl to witness her parents fighting everyday with or without her around the area as they screamed their lungs out at each other.

Not to mention how she's so used to it that she's not even crying nor scared at what's she's seeing in such a young age.

"Let's go to sleep now baby, you have school tomorrow and I don't want you to be tired okay?" Jeno said gently as he brushes Natalia's hair behind her ear.

Natalia is homeschooled, she spends her learning time and playing time at home all day while her parents are out as well.

There's a teacher that comes to visit to give her a few booklets to learn as Jeno is the one that helps her with it. Even if he had many chores to do in the house, he'd still put Natalia as his number one priority.

As months have gone by with Jeno being around Natalia's side everyday and night, the more they spend their day together as the married couple were too busy at work, was the more Natalia grew closer to their maid.

The little girl has grown a special bond with Jeno, first finding him as her friend that takes care of her everyday, to almost a mother figure. Almost, because Heejin is still there.

It's not like she hates her parents, it's just that she hates what they do. What their plans and priorities are, what is their number one priority besides their own daughter.

She grew up with it, being at home all day everyday with only seeing either Jaehyun or Doyoung around the house until late at night where her parents finally come home.

She knew the word workaholics and the meaning of it because of hearing Doyoung mentioning it all the time when the topic of her parents come up. She knew her parents were workaholics. The toxic type.

"I'll tuck you in bed and sing you a lullaby alright pumpkin?" Jeno said standing up lending his hand for the toddler to take.

Natalia nodded happily and immediately grabbed his hand without hesitation and tugs him towards her bedroom leaving the screaming adults in the living room.

Once they arrive, Jeno helps her get cozy on the bed and brushes her hair while he sat down beside her. "Close your eyes and listen okay? Remember, no talking, shh~" he whispered giggling.

Natalia giggled as well and nodded her head obediently before settling down and hugs her teddy bear in her arms as Jeno starts to sing softly.

After the omega has finished singing a lullaby for the toddler, said toddler had fallen asleep thanks to Jeno's soft and gentle voice echoing through her ears lulling her in to deep slumber.

"Goodnight darling, sleep well and dream big," the brunet boy whispered and plants a soft kiss on Natalia's forehead smiling softly.

He sighs and turns off the room lights leaving the nightlight on instead and heads out closing the door gently, careful not to disturb Natalia's rest.

He stretches and decided to go downstairs to grab a glass of water before heading of to his own rest as well.

He checks the area peeking down the stairs and saw no one, the screaming has stopped too, it was dead silent and he's pretty sure he heard another door being slammed earlier when he was lulling Natalia in to sleep.

He tiptoes down the staircase and walks to the kitchen almost shrieking at the sight of Na Jaemin sitting down on one of the chairs with a bottle in front of him halfway empty.

The pure alpha looked stressed and so done with everything, his hair was messy and his once chapped lips were now wet from the beer he was drinking.

He was still in his suit with his shirt untucked and three buttons now open exposing his bare chest and collarbones as sweat was dripping down his skin making Jeno gulp.

He walks pass the elder trying to ignore his presence and how the man himself made Jeno feel giddy while he was just staring off.

"Sir?" The omega can't help but call out feeling another bubble of worry in his stomach just like when he was with Natalia.

The pure alpha didn't move and just kept staring before grabbing the bottle again and takes another chug, now almost emptying it out.

"Sir, I don't think you should drink so much especially tonight. You have work tomorrow," Jeno said twiddling with his fingers.

No one moved.

And no one spoke.

The omega bit his lip before grabbing the glass of water he came for and almost sprints out until he glances at the elder again.

Jaemin still didn't say anything and was just staring at the bottle. Jeno turns back around before a voice spoke up, "you're pretty."

He widens his eyes and turns to look at Jaemin who was now staring at him with his eyes serious and stern. No it can't be right? He's drunk.

"P-pardon sir?"

"Very pretty, a pretty omega in my eyes," Jaemin slurs again and grins at him.

Jeno felt a weird feeling in his stomach and decided to just head upstairs forgetting what the hell is happening, "u-uhm goodnight Mr. Na." He stuttered.

The pure alpha hums still staring at him as he turns back around to walk away towards the staircase.

Though, his ears didn't miss the "sweet dreams, pretty." From Jaemin. He gulps and shakes his head as he grips on the glass of water tightly.
