"What's with all the extra training?" Mercedes huffed they had just finished sprinting for five miles straight. Serenity shrugged sipping her water, "ugh whatever. I heard about your new job though."

Serenity stopped dead in her tracks, "I think everyone has learned of my new job," she puts the lid of her water on and sets it back down.

"So what's it li-" Merced's was cut off by beta Mateo.

"No lolly gagging ladies! Get over here we're not done yet!" Everyone internally groaned at his words. They had just endured a five mile run, thirty minutes of full on sparing, and now it was time for cardio, "a hundred jumping jack get on it!" Mateo yelled at the group of teens.

No one wanting to disobey his command got to it. As well did Mateo who did just as they did. Everyone dripping with aching mussels. Day two of the extensive training.

"100 pushups!" Mateo yelled as he finished the jumping jacks. The numbers went up everyday. Yesterday the group spared for 30 minutes, ran for two miles, and half of what they were doing today. He slowly eased them into shape. Not that they weren't already in shape.

"100 high knees! Keep up!" Mateo whipped through the exercises at their average speed and some were still falling behind. One girl however was surprising even Mateo. She finished a few seconds before him each time.

Even having enough time between sets to take a sip of water.

"100 burpees!" No one groaned as he yelled out the exercise they simply just complied, "break sixty second grab water. If your not back here by then there will be extra running at the end," Mateo released them for a quick break.

He himself grabbed a towel wiping his face and some water.

"So how's the job?" Mercedes asked Serenity.

"How can you even talk?" Serenity took deep breathes looking at her friend.

"Your the one who sped through the exercises at full speed," Mercedes shrugged and squirted some water in her mouth.

"Let's go back before we get in trouble."

            Liam watched the teens train from his office window. They all worked out in the back on the slab of concrete. Mateo was doing a great job of getting them prepared.

"Liam," Kensley walks into his office.

He smiles at her. A kind of smile that reached deep into the pit of his dark grey eyes, "Nice to see you up and walking around!"

"You can't pin me down for too long," Kensley Is one of Liam's oldest and dearest friends and some might even say lover.

Before Liam left he was soft and had fallen in love with Kensley. They had hopped when he came back they could possibly be mates. Six years later, to their dismay they find out they are not.

"Glad to see you, a pleasure as always."

Kensley took a seat in front of his desk, "You already said that, Liam. Why did you really call me in here"

Liam smiled and looked down, "Although you lost against Mateo, I would like to offer you the spot of Gamma."

Kensley was shocked. Alpha Liam giving up a spot in his court without a fight.

"What's the catch?" She asked crossing her legs.

He shook his head, "no catch. The position is your if you want it."

Liam stood up and walked to the window that sat behind his desk.

"They're training hard. Why is that? Why had their trading been more extensive lately? Usually we only have training twice a week. Now it's mandatory for everyone to attend their designation session everyday? What are you preparing us for Liam?" Kensley had crossed the threshold of his desk to stand beside him. Standing so close that Liam could feel the heat from her body on his.

"Will you train with Mateo?"

She turned to face him, "train with him?"

"Yes, help him with them," Liam pointed out into the yard.

"Of course. I'll start tomorrow."

"Thank you," Liam took Kensley's hand and kissed the top of it.

"I have a few more issues at hand to catch up with. Mateo will catch you up with everything," Liam turned on his heels and walked out his office.

His inner beast needed sustenance.

"Are you cleaning his floor today?" Mercedes asked. The group had just been dismissed after doing sprints in wolf form.

"Yes. Cleaning days are Saturdays and Wednesday's," Serenity answered her friends question.

"At least it's the only job you have to do," Mercedes is one to always look on the bright side of things sometimes that is.

"I guess," Serenity shrugged. She was happy that all of her other chores were dismissed, but she wasn't very keen on having to clean the alphas floor. Even if it was just for two days a week.

"I have to go back home. Feel free to use my shower or borrow my clothes," Mercedes hugged her sweaty friend.

"Bye see you tomorrow?" Serenity said squeezing her friend.

"Yup see you for training!" Mercedes saluted her friend then ran off to her home. Her home away from the pack house.

Serenity sighed and walked inside after watching her friend leave. She still had to finish cleaning the alphas floor, and then she could go up to her room in the attic and sleep. But first, maybe she could use a shower.

Sneaking up to Mercedes room she shed her sweaty clothes in the bathroom and ran a nice cold bath to give her ache muscle some relief. Sinking down into the cold relaxing waters she realized how much trouble she could get in if she was caught. Bathing in someone else's chambers is surly unforgivable.

Pushing all her thoughts aside she finished her bath and washed her hair. Upon getting out she wrapped her hair in a fluffy white towel, put on a pair of sweats and cropped shirt Mercedes had, then cleaned the tub. She then walked out the room towel on head and went up stairs to finish her chores.

By the time her chores were done the moon was high in the sky and the pack house was fast asleep. Lights out was at ten thirty. Serenity put the cleaning supplies back in the closet and yawned. She needed sleep.

After putting everything away she grabbed the towel, she disregarded hours ago that laid on the floor, and put it in the washer, then went downstairs. Before bed she would grab a snack she was famished.

Opening the fridge she found fresh meat. Deciding to make a sandwich she grabbed the Tupperware of fresh bloody meat and made a sandwich. Throwing the meat, some cheese, mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a piece of bread she slapped a sandwich together and dug in. The bloody meat really satisfied her wolf.

In the middle of making a second sandwich the front door to the house opened and closed ever so quietly. She shrugged it off. Probably just a random teen sneaking back in.

Serenity finished three more sandwich's and a glass of water, before calling it a night and walking upstairs. She would have peacefully called it a night if a wet substance on the floor didn't make  her slip and fall down the stairs.

Groaning she got up and carefully made her way to the light switch. Turning on the light revealed a gasping scene before her. The liquid she slipped on was blood. A pool of it was at the door then a trail led upstairs. Of course now the side of her pants hand blood on them from where she slipped.

She must not have sensed it earlier, because the meat she was eating. Now she could smell the metallic like substance and a lot of it. So much so that it almost overwhelmed all her senses. She rushed to the supply closet and grabbed the swifter and bleach to clean the marble tiles.

The blood trail up the stairs led towards the alphas floor. She groaned as she realized it must've been him, coming in from a night hunt. Should she go in and clean the mess he made? I mean she could wait till Wednesday to assess the damage. It could be worse then however.

Deciding to suck it up she pushed through the double doors that led to the alphas floor. The trail of blood continued all the way to his room. She cleaned the mess as she went only stopping when she reached the alphas chambers.

The doors were wide open and the light was still on. Serenity peaked her head inside. The alpha laid passed out on his white sheets completely covered in blood. She internally groaned. The stain is never going to come out of those!

Carefully cleaning around him she was sure not to disrupt the sleeping alpha, afraid of what he might do if she woke him. It was hard not to stare at him as he laid on his back six pack revealed seeing as he was only wearing boxers.

Serenity cleaned the whole mess without waking him. Besides for the sheets. Instead she simply left new sheets out on his dresser and went off to bed.

If this is what's its like cleaning up after the alpha, she's never going to get any sleep.
