"You called for me?" Mateo walked into Liam's office.

"Yes," Liam looked up from his paper work, "alpha Oliver invited me to his daughters party this weekend."

"Why the late notice? It's already Wednesday."

"I've known for a while I just didn't know if I was actually going to go."Liam sighed.

"Why wouldn't you go? It'd be a sign of great disrespect if you didn't attend."

"I don't want to attend, because then it'd be as if I have already accepted his proposal."

Mateos face showed nothing but pure confusion, "what proposal?"

"The one to marry his daughter."

"Zoey?" Mateo asked. Liam nods his head, "isn't she only tuning 17? Why would he ask you to marry his daughter?"

"To create an alliance. Whispers of my plans have been floating through the grape vine," Liam shook his head.

"What are you going to do?"

"I'm going to this party first off and we will see how things go from there. That's what I called you here to talk about."

"Of course. We need to decide who will accompany you, and who will stay behind to watch the pack."

Liam held up a hand, "I've already decided. I'll go by myself I'm leaving Friday at noon."

"Alpha I cannot let you do that!" Mateo sat at the edge of his seat.

"and why not?"

"For you to travel alone. That's a disaster waiting to happen."

"It'd be rude if I took half the pack to a private gathering," Liam knew he was right.

"But alpha, at least take a guard and your maid."

"First off she's not maid, second off why out of all people would I take her. She's an omega," his voiced raised a bit.

"To show to alpha Oliver that his pack is not a threat. Maybe he'd even consider a different agreement," Mateo did make sense. If he took an omega instead a whole detail of guards it'd show that there was of no kind threat to them, "and maybe a pretty girl on your arm would usher him away from the idea."

"If I wanted that I'd ask Kensley to attend the party with me."

"Brilliant idea just popped into my head. How about the two of us go?"

Liam shook his head, "and leave Kensley all alone with the pack. That's not the greatest idea you've had."

Mateo huffed, "Fine. You'll take a guard and your maid."

"No. I'm going alone. Taking an omega with me is the last thing I want to do."

             The dreaded Wednesday's. Serenity had dreaded Wednesday so much, because she had to clean the alphas floor. Which she had dreaded so much. Saturday she didn't have to since everyone was busy with the harvest, but now that things had died down, she had to. After all it was her chore.

Sucking it up she went to work, after grabbing her supplies of course. The first place she started with was his living room. Yes he had his own living space. Including but not limited to a huge flat screen TV that was mounted on the wall.

Serenity sighed, she wiped down the sticky coffee table with Clorox wipes and grabbed two remote controls off of the black leather couches, wiping them down also. She set the remotes down at the edge of table.

After wiping down the huge tv, and dusting the game system, she moved on. The bedroom was next. Not thinking anything about it she toes her supplies down the hall and to the bathroom. She threw open the door.

To her surprise, Liam laid in bed sitting cross cross apple sauce. He wore no shirt and a lap top laid in his lap. He looked up at her and Serenity bowed her head, "I'm sorry to disrupt you Alpha. I didn't think you were. I didn't hear anything so I just assumed-" she stopped rambling and closed her mouth.

"The walls are soundproof," he simply spoke looking back down at the laptop that laid in his lap.

"I-I'm Sorry."

"So you've said," Liam said nonchalantly.

"I'll come back later," and with that she back out of the room and quickly shut the door behind her. She took a deep breathe before going over to his office. Usually this was the last place she cleaned since he never seemed to leave the room.

She threw open the double doors and took in the scent of pine. She had always loved the fresh scent as it always seemed to refresh her. The room out of all places on the floor smelt strongly of pine.

Serenity got to work vacuuming the carpet under his desk that always seemed to attract dirt, and other unruly things. Alpha Liam's desk was scattered with paper that she didn't dare to touch. Instead she grabbed the empty cups of coffee that seemed to be forgot on the small desk behind his big desk.

It took her thirty minutes to clean the room. As she had finished she wondered if Alpha Liam was still in his room. After running down stairs to throw away the trash, she went back up to check. This time instead of barging in she knocked.

"Come in," he spoke with his deep voice. She took a deep breathe and walked in. He was still in the same position as before.

Serenity walked in, "is it ok if I clean the bathroom. I promise not to disturb you."

"Go ahead," he gave her the 'ok' and she quickly scrambled to his bathroom.

Once inside she took a deep breathe. She could not screw anything up, but most importantly she couldn't drop anything! Wanting to get the job over with she first cleaned the shower. It was all glass and finger prints frequently gather on the doors like dust.

It took her fourty minutes to clean the toilet, sink, mop and sweep the floors, and restock the toilet paper.

She warily came out of the bathroom to see the alpha running a hand through his already dis shelved hair. She cleaned her throat before speaking, "I'm done if there's not anything else I can for you."

Liam looked at the girl who spoke with a soft and smelled of sweet honey, "my closet could use some attending to."

Serenity nodded her head, "of course."

Liam watched her as she disappeared into his closet. In the closet Serenity could see that he like every other guy did not like to do laundry. Who would blame him though, he had more important things to do.

She gather up the clothes that laid in a pile on the floor and put them in his basket. Assuming that everything on the floor was dirty. She then organized his shoes that had been discarded everywhere. How he found anything in the messy closet was beyond her.

Serenity walked out of the closet carrying the hamper full of dirty clothes. When her eyes landed on her alpha he was rubbing the insides of his eyes.

"If you don't mind I'll wash this for you. It'll only take about an hour or two. Then I'll bring it back and put it up if you'd like."

Liam looked up at the girl. He nodded his head, "that's fine," he knew he wouldn't run out of clothes anytime soon, but would rather not have the pile in the closet any longer. It was rather frustrating him.

Serenity nodded her head then scurried away. She went to the laundry room and put the clothes into three separate washers. After starting them she went to shower.

            When the alphas clothes were washed and dried she took them back upstairs to his room. Serenity knocked on his door half expecting him to be asleep instead he voiced a, "Come in."

She walked in, "I have your clothes. I can put them up for you if you'd like," she really didn't want to as her eyes were becoming heavy, but she couldn't stop the words from pouring out her mouth.

"Do as you'd like," he didn't even bother looking up from the papers he had his eyes on.

Serenity scurried off inside his closet and began to put the over flowing basket of clothes away. She was half way through when a voice startled her, "I'd half expected you to have left already," Liam leaned up against the door frame.

"I said I'd put it up, it's really no trouble," she smiled over at him.

Liam couldn't believe this girl. She couldn't be as sweet and naive as she smelt. There was no possible way. Absolutely none. He walked over and pulled a shirt out of the basket, "Don't you have school in the morning?"

"Y-yes bu-"

Liam cut her off, "wouldn't you much rather be asleep then cleaning up after me?" He eyed her waiting for her answer.

She turned away reaching up to hang up a shirt, "it's fine," her words flowed out like the melody to an enchanting song.

When she turned around his eyes met hers. Compared to his cool blue eyes hers were warm like hot chocolate. Serenity looked down and grabbed another shirt. Liam began to help her put away the clothes.

"You really don't have to," her voice stopped Liam and looked over to her.

"I know I don't have to. I'm choosing to," his icy colder domineer made Serenity quiet for the rest of the time. She didn't want to say anything else out of line.

When they finished she bowed her head, "is there anything else you would like done?"

She puzzled him with the question. Instead of just walking out she offered to help even more. Why was she being so submissive? As if reality hit him he realized it was because he was well him.

"That's all," Liam dismisses the girl.
