Jullianne managed to grab Aston's arm before he reached the staircase. Before he reached her.

He turned back to see wh had grabbed him disappointed by who it was, "Oh Jullianne. Did you need something?"

She bats her eyelashes and smiles at him, "yes, just this next dance."

"Um," he looks back at Serenity who is now on the arm of Liam. He missed his chance. Of course, he did, "Maybe later." he tries to brush her off but she doesn't let go.

"Just one dance won't hurt right?"

He continues to look over in Serenity's direction paying no mind to the girl in front of him. She notices that and stands in front of him grabbing his chin to look at her. He wasn't going to let him go that easily.

"Jullianne," Aston says rather frustratedly.

She rolls her eyes, "she's never going to notice you. A gamma over the alpha. The choice here is clear. Just look at them together. Anyone can see how infatuated he is with her."

He growls, "Know your place packmate."

"I'm just speaking the truth," she shrugs, "He didn't even look at Zoey like that." She circles him to stop right by his ear, "that look in his eyes. He's probably never looked at someone like that before."

The truth is he's only ever looked at one girl like that before. Aston knew this because they both had the same look in their eye for the same girl. All those years ago. History repeats itself yet again. Although this girl is very much alive.

"Now are you going to continue drooling over a girl who hasn't even looked in your direction, or have a dance with me? A girl who's actually interested," Jullianne whispered close to his ear. He could feel the heat from her breathe.

Which only made him even more frustrated. He didn't need the extra heat, because he was heating up all on his own. Not bothering to answer her back he broke from her grip and stormed out of the room.

Mateo noticed him leave the room and realized exactly what was happening. He shook his head. How do they always manage to fall for the same girl time and time again?

"When did this happen?" Zoey asked from beside him.

He looks down at her and looks over to who she was watching, "It's just best to not ask questions."

She continued to watch them on the dance floor. They held everyone's eyes. Not only did the two radiate immense power, but they looked good together also. No one could quite comprehend what was going on.

As the song came to an end Oliver but's back in, "my turn."

Liam rolls his eyes, "Promise to return her back after this one dance?"

"You'll get her back eventually," Oliver takes Serenity's hand and motions for Liam to move.

SIghing Liam walks away leaving the two alone.

"So your the girl who stole my daughter's spot?"

Serenity was taken aback by this, "I beg your pardon?"

"I mean I totally understand. You two look perfect together. The air around the two of you is perfect almost too perfect." he didn't give her a chance to respond as he spun her to the beat of the music, "I just have one question, however."

"Do you really deserve any answers from me? To come and accuse me of taking your daughter's spot and I don't even know who you are. Alpha Liam is just being kind to me that's all. We aren't even a 'we'.  I'd appreciate it if you didn't just jump to conclusions." Serenity managed to keep her tone clear and calm.

"Oh, she has some fire in her," He chuckles, "but silly me. You've met me one time before, but very briefly. I'm Alpha Oliver. Zoey's father and previously Liam's mentor."

And that's whenever she knew she was in trouble.

Mercedes watched her friend from a distance with a smile on her face. She really did aim high this time. In all honesty, she was just happy it wasn't her brother. Des knew her friend deserved someone great and if that happened to be Alpha Liam then so be it.

"So who is she?" Jenson asked from beside her. Together the whole family sat to the side at a table reserved for them.

"That's Serenity. Isn't she a beauty? I had hoped Aston would make his move, but he missed his chance." Her mom spoke with a sigh.

Des rolls her eyes, "looks like she might be our new luna instead."

"New luna? Don't get too far ahead of yourself darling," her father replied to her comment.

"Anything is better than her being with Aston," She couldn't help but disagree with him.

Jenson looked between the two rather confused, "Did I miss something?"

Laughing des nods her head, "Bubba you missed a whole season."

"So are you going to tell me the tea," he made a drinking motion.

His wife rolled her eyes from next to him, "Jen honey haven't you learned your lesson of sticking your nose in other people's businesses."

"Me stick my nose in other people's business never honey, " he kisses her cheek then leans down towards his sister, "so what's the tea?"

His wife playfully hits his chest.

"Okay, Oliver I'm going to need my dance partner back."

"Already? We were having such a wonderful talk." Oliver looks at Liam who is looking at Serenity.

"I did promise him another dance," Serenity looked at Liam practically begging him to drag her away.

"Oh all right," Oliver dropped Serenity's hand and slightly bows his head.

Liam smiles and takes Serenity's hand.

"Wow, I can't believe this." Kensley stood off to the side. She now stood with Mateo.

"Believe it," he sipped on his Hennessy.

Kensley rolls her eyes, "looks like I'm never getting my position back then."

"If you were hoping to be luna you never had the role in your hands. She was always the one." Mateo shrugs.

"What?"

He rolls his eyes, "you were just a distraction. You were after all Rosette's best friend. If you thought the two of you could be anything more than friends with benefits, you were sorely mistaken."

She shakes her head, "It was never my intention to go for the position. I just don't like being out of the loop. The connection I had before with everyone is now... gone."

Mateo sighs, "I understand, but I don't know how much longer Aston is going to last. Either you fight for your position back, or you go after Aston and marry him."

"Marry the douche bag?" She drowns down the rest of her wine, "I'd rather try again with Liam."

She walks away headed in Liam's direction. To check out the two for herself. He couldn't be obsessed with this girl. Could he? Definitely not. It was Liam we're talking about after all.

"Alpha," Kensley walked up and bowed.

Liam smiled down at her, "Kensley."

"I was just making my rounds. You know how it is. I just wanted to say hi." she starred at Serenity for a second.

"Oh yes of coruce. Do you like it?"

"Hmm?" she looks back up at Liam.

"The ball. Do you like it? I made sure they stocked your favorite wine, and that we had a chocolate fountain. I know how much you love chocolate covered strawberries."

Serenity looked down as the two continued taking. They were old friends of course he knew what she liked. Kensley was also her competition. The whole pack thought Kensley would become luna before some omega could even dream of it, but now here they are.

"I love your dress!" Serenity found herself talking before she could even stop herself.

Kensley narrowed in on her, "oh thank you! It's an original." At this time she noticed the two were matching. They had to have planned on coming together this whole time. "Liam would you like to dance?" Kensley fluttered her eyes and began to work her charm.

"I would but I promised Serenity my next da-"

"I'll take her off your hands for you." Aston stepped in.

"Perfect timing." Kensley didn't care for Aston much but in this moment he was her favorite person in the room.

"I can't go back on a promise. I didn't tell Liam my next dance was his," Serenity didn't want to be anywhere near Aston. She didn't want Merceds to get mad at her again.

Kenlsey and Aston both starred at her for being so formal with their alpha. Liam didn't mind though. He liked the way his name rolled off her tong.

"He won't mind. Will you?" Aston begand to take Sernitys hand while Kensley took Liam's arms.

"He won't." Kensley answered for him and the two were pulled apart.

The air in the room seemed to shift as the two were separated un willingfully. It was as if a spark was snuffed out. Everyone continued on as normal, but they could all feel it. Could this bee from their alpha parting with the omega? No one wanted to admit that it was.

"There he goes," Eloise watches as her son pulls Serenity in for a dance.

"Where what goes?" Des sat next to her watching over the crowd. Whenever she saw what her mother was talking about she put two and two together.

Being the sneaky little devil she is she silently formed a plan in her head, "Jasiah want to go get some chocolate strawberries from the fountain."

"Momma can I go with Aunty?"

Shannon looked down at her son with a sigh, "yes sweetie. Just try not to make a mess."

Mercedes stood up and held out her hand for Jasiah to take ahold of.

"You look beautiful."

Serenity didn't know what to say, "thank you."

"But then again you always look beautiful."

Now this was awkward. The person she really wanted to be with was dancing with his childhood sweetheart. The girl was predicted to be the next luna and here she is. Dancing with her bestfriends brother. She'd rather be anywhere else right now.

"-not to sound-" apparently he had been talking while she was lost in though, but she still only caught every other word.

She only really tuned back in whenever someone bumped into them and Aston reeled back letting her go. She looked at him and whoever had bumped into them. It was a little boy who's hands are coated in chocolate. He gripped a big red strawberry in between them.

"Uncle Ashy! Look Look! I got a strawberry all bymyself!"

People began to stare at the commotion.

"Jasiah! What are you doing?!" Aston looked down at his jacket that now had a tiny chocolate handprint on it.

"Showing you my strawberry. I just said that uncle ashy."

Serenity starred down at the small person in awe, "You are the cutes thing I've seen all day!"

The little boy looked up at her with a big smile, "oh your a princess right?"

"Not quite," she giggled at him, "you know this man?" she asked pointing at Ashton.

"Thats uncle Ashy!"

"Oh uncle Ashy is that right?"

The little boy nods his head.

"Well uncle Ashy and I are friends and I bet he wouldn't mind if I took you to go wash that chocolate off your hands."

He looked down at his hands and nods his head, "yes please. Mommy told me not to get dirty."

"Okay come on little guy," she held out her hand and he took it.

"What about me?" Aston asked as the two began to walk away.

Sernity shrugged, "Your a big boy I think you can clean up by yourself."

Liam watched the scene happen form a distance and couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Kensley however stood next to him and she was fuming. Her dance was cut short and to top it off he went after her and the child with grimy hands.

Serenity went to the bathroom and helped the little boy wash all the coclate off his hands. Luckily none got on his suit. Outside the bathroom Liam waited for her.

"Hey are you okay?" he questioned her whenever she walked out.

"Oh yah I'm fine. I didn't get any chocolate on me."

"There's Aunty!"

The little boy pointed at a figure in the distance, "there you are. Jasiah you know better than to run off like that."

Serenity recognized the person. Of course this was her nefew. How she didn't put two and two together earlier was beyond her.

"Serenity, you look beautiful!" Des gave her friend a big hug and took a quick glance at her alpha.

"Thank you! So do you!"

"I'm so sorry for any trouble this little bug here caused. Always running away."

"But aunty you told me-"

Des laughed loudly, "Anywho. Alpha Liam they are looking for you in there. Its the halfway point. The orchestras have already began to switch out."

"Oh yes of course."

"Anywho I will be on my way. Serenity I'll catch up with you later, yah?"

Serenity nods her head.
