Serenity ran through the forest. Hitting trees branches and everything in between trying to get away. Who was lying to her? What was the truth? 

Her head began to spin and the sky started to reflect her mood. Dark clouds rolled in and thunder began to clap. A storm was brewing. 

Soon it began to rain. Stumbling through the forest with no sense of direction Serenity fell to the forest floor. And she did something she hadn't done in a long time. She wept. She wept for her lost memory. She wept for these false memories that were placed in her brain. 

All she wanted was the truth. 

"And I can give that to you." in a flash of lightning a person appeared. 

Serenity's tears mixed in with the rainwater, so her eyelashes stuck together as she look up at the person speaking. 

"You-you. Who are you?" she had a sense that she knew who the woman before her was and in fact she did.

"I am Selene."

"S-Selene? Like the goddess?"

She laughed, "yes, exactly my child. Like the goddess."

"Why are you here?"

She walks toward Serenity and bends down in front of her, "Well I can tell you, or I can just give you back your memory, and so much more."

"My memory? You can do that?"

Selene nods her head, "I can give you back your memory and you can come back with me."

"Go back with you? Where to?"

She stood back up and pointed her head towards the sky, "well to the moon of course."

"Why would you take me to the moon with you? As I was told I am nothing special."

"No don't say that my child. You are everything and so much more. You are from me after all."

Serenity squinted her eyes, "I'm from you?"

"Let me give you your memories back. It will allow you to piece everything together."

"If I accept my memories back will I have to go with you?"

Selene shook her head, "you only have to go with me if you choose of your own free will."

"Okay. Can I please have my memories back?"

"But of course," Selene took Serenity by the hands and lifted her up.

             Selene took a step towards Liam revealing her bare feet that were splattered with mud. As she walked you could hear the clanking of jewels on her dress. The power terminating off of her would make anyone bow before her.

"Look up at me boy." Her voice was solid, harsh, and deep. Not as angelic as one might have thought, "I have much better things to do than to deal with these creations of mine, as you said."

Liam had a hard time looking at her, "then stop."

Taken aback she blinked twice. Thunder clapping both times as she did so, "excuse me?" no one had ever had the nerve to talk to her like this. She was after all a goddess.

"Stop interfering. Leave us be."

Throwing her head back she laughs in amusement, "stop interfering." lightning flashed in the sky, "little boy if I had not interfered you and your whole pack along with my daughter would have met their demise a long time ago. Since you announced the new coming of the lycanthrope existence you have a target on your back. Maybe you should have thought of that before you wanted to join everyone in peace and harmony. This righteous path you are following is impossible! Trust me. You aren't the only one that has tried."

He looked her in the eye, "then help me. Join forces with me instead of trying to give me an ultimatum."

She shook her head and the ground beneath them shook, "I stop interfering with the matter as such a long time ago. Ever wonder why mates disappeared? Mates were too much of a weakness to alpha such as yourself. They were always put in harm's way getting kidnapped, assassinated, and touched. I didn't want that. Mates weren't intended for that purpose."

"Yet you gave your daughter to me. You made us mates. You must have still had some hope," Liam's knees began to sink in the mud. 

Selene sighed, "I did that out of pity. I saw the road you were to go down. Cold, dark, and cruel. You needed a bit of light. The light my daughter presented for you. However, you ruined that. You showed Serenity a cold part of life that she was never meant to experience."

Liam took this time to stand, "then why didn't you interfere a long time ago. Why now?"

"I'm here now, and I'm taking her back with me." she waved her hands in the air and the lightning struck down yet again to reveal another person. 

The rain at this time had subsided. 

The person began to walk over. They were glowing with a yellow hue. They must've been a girl also. As for she wore a long black fitting dress with jewels. Gold jewels clanked as she neared. 

"Serenity," Liam breathed out. She was safe.

"Serenity here will join me and the rest of her sisters on the moon."

Liam's eyes bulged, "what?! She doesn't belong with you. She belongs with me. You gave her to me-"

"I belong to no one!" the sky flashed a deep crimson color, "I make my own choices. I am my own person."

"Please, Serenity. Give me a chance," Liam took her hands in his.

"You have had your chance. Keeping me under your spell for all these months. Messing with my life. Giving me false hopes. False memories. Were you ever honest with me?"

"Yes of course I was! Serenity I love you. This love wasn't just placed into me."

She pulled her hands away, "did you love me when you slept with Kensley? Did you love me when I went through the torment of the pack while being an omega? Where were you when Jullianne tormented me?"

"I am sorry. I truly am. If I had known,"

"If you had known what? You would have stopped it?" She shook her head and turned on her heels, "I was never meant for earth Liam. You and I both know it."

"Yes, you were. You were born here not on the moon. You were left here all by yourself. You learned to survive, to thrive here! You can't just leave it all behind."

With her back still towards him, she looks at he mother, "stop telling me what I can and can't do."

"You can't leave."

"Why can't I? What's keeping me here? More lies?"

"My love inst enough to keep you here? I'm not enough to keep you here?"

Serenity whipped around. All in one movement she went towards Liam and placed her lips on his. He wrapped his arms around her waist and accepted her. He drank her in this being his sign that she would stay. She would stay with him.
