Fridays have always been Serenity's favorite day. Especially now that she didn't have to do chores. That's what she thought about as she walked through the halls of the high school minding her own business.

Lunch had just ended and Mercedes and her had parted ways. Serenity walked towards her locker to grab her afternoon class books. Before she could even reach her locker, she tripped and her papers from her spirals she was holding went flying across the hall landing with a clunk all over the floor.

Serenity groaned and began to pick up the papers closest to her. In the process of picking up the papers a shoe stepped on a few of her papers. A white nike Air Force shoe stepped on her papers. And the shoes, of course, just had to belong to none other than Jullianne.

Jullianne looked down at the pathetic omega and snickered, "you need some help there?" Jullianne reached down to grab a few papers only to have her hand slapped away. She retracted her hand and scolded Serenity who had already gotten up and began gathering her papers on the other side of the hall.

"Don't you have something better to do? Like polish your crocs?" Serenity didn't even bother to process what she had said and instead focused on getting all her papers picked up.

"Wow, you've really lived up to your fully potential? Haven't you little omega. Now your even the alphas slave."

Serenity got up and turned around, "what did you say?"

"You heard me mutt," Jullianne walked closer to her and spat in her face.

"I'd tell you to go fuck yourself, but that'd be a cruel punishment I'd also rather not stoop so low as to actually smell your bullshit," Serenity was pinned against the lockers in a flash. all her papers once again went sprawling across the floor.

Jullianne's hands tightened around her neck, her finger nails digging into Serenity's neck. Well, goodbye to a Good Friday.

              "Alpha Liam, have you been avoiding my calls?" Alpha Oliver's voice poured out of Liam's phone.

"No, I would never," Liam smirked. Of course he had been avoiding Oliver calls. For his own reasons of course.

"I can sense your smirk on this side of the line. I've been trying to get ahold of you for a week now. That's very disrespectful."

"Disrespectful? Never, I've known you far to long for it be disrespectful. Now what did you call for?"

"I maybe like your uncle but I am still an alpha. I called however, because the rumor of your future plans has been spreading through the grapevine."

Liam sat up straight and clutched the phone to his ear, "and what would my future plans be?"

"You tell me Liam," silence over took the line before Alpha Oliver sighed, "Whatever they may be I want to form an alliance."

"An alliance?"

"Yes, let's be real here. I'm not getting any younger and I need to protect my pack. We are like family all that I ask is for you to take my proposal into consideration."

Liam knew Oliver was right. The two may have not been bonded by blood, but they were bonded by something else. Something stronger. Oliver and Liam has traveled the world together side by side. At the time everyone had thought Liam might have been Oliver's bastard child, he wasn't.

"What's your proposal?"

"Take my eldest daughter as your Luna."

Liam took in a deep breathe, "that's a little drastic my friend."

"It'll be better than any alliance bound with paper. Let's just bind it with blood instead. It's rare now a days that you find your mate. This way we have our arrangement and your pack gets a Luna."

Liam rubbed his eyes, "isn't Zoey only 16?"

"She'll be seventeen in a few weeks."

"Give me a few days to think it over."

            Serenity was sent home three hours early. The two girls roughed it out, but Serenity knew better than to fight back. Jullianne would have easily over powered her and she would have came out with much more than just a bruised neck, and a few broken ribs.

Serenity walked home besides her bike. She was in far to much pain to ride home. It took her longer of course, but she eventually got back to the pack house, after putting her bike away in the barn she walked to the pack house. The house was mostly empty.

Taking advantage of the free time she had, Serenity quietly snuck up to her room in the attic and collapsed on her bed. She soon drifted off to a dreamless state of sleep.

  Hours later she was awoken. Opening her eyes she looked at Mercedes who sat next to her, "Hey, how are you feeling?"

Serenity groaned, "better than I was feeling earlier," she sat up.

"I can't believe you! You know not to speak to Jullianne like that," her friend scolded her. She was getting a lot of that lately. Scoldings.

"I know. I think I've learned my lesson for now," Serenity dragged a hand across her face.

"I hope you have," Mercedes looked down, "oh here."

She handed Serenity an apple, "don't tell me," Serenity groaned.

"Yup. It's harvesting time!"

Harvesting time was when they picked all the fruits off of the trees that surrounded the pack house. The Crimson Claws cultivates a lot of their own stuff. Getting little to no help from the outside world.; and it brought the pack closer together. Jonathan's idea. Since he wasn't the original chosen Alpha of the pack he needed a different way to bond with his people. So he planted diffrent groves of trees that bared fruit. Some even bared nuts.

"Of course it would be time," Serenity was pulled up by Mercedes.

"It is September. Should have expect this by now," Serenity nodded her head at Mercedes, "lets go. Everyone's already out in the grove."

When it came to harvesting time it was not a one person job. The whole packed help. It was faster that way, but it also meant they would be doing this though out the weekend. Serenity groaned at the realization and followed her friend out of her room and down stairs out the house.

"I have to go out?" Liam asked for the millionth time.

"Yes son," Jonathan answered back.

"This was your idea to grow our own resources, so why don't you just go?"

Jonathan groaned. It was his idea after two years of being alpha. He had needed a deeper way to connect with his pack, and what a better way then this?

After a second he spoke, "I am going out. As well as Mateo, and Kensley who are already out there. Join us whenever you get off your high horse," and with that Jonathan left Liam in his office alone.

Liam groaned. He stayed seated for a few minutes before he got up and went outside. The twenty minute walk to the grove behind the pack house instantly made him regret not changing.

He wore light washed pants, with a tight fitting white shirt, and white canvas shoes. Before he could turn to to go back inside he spotted Kensley, and walked towards her.

Kensley stood on a red painted latter, reaching up into the apple tree picking apples and placing them in the wicker basket she held. She wore overalls, with a white tube top underneath, and checkered vans. Today her hair was straightened and braided to the side. All in all she was as beautiful as always.

Liam replaced the guy who was holding the bottom of the latter and looked up at Kensley admiring her beauty, "this basket is full," Kensley spoke. She reached down and handed the basket full of apples down to the guy who was supposed to be at the bottom.

To her surprise it was Alpha Liam, "how fancy seeing you here!" She smiled.

Liam grabbed the basket full of apples and offered Kensley his free hand. She gladly took it and carefully climbed down.

"I'm surprised I'm here myself," Liam walked next to Kensley.

"It's not bad Your here. Grab a basket and help out, " Kensley took the basket from Liam. She then went and put it in the back of the truck that was already filled with other baskets of fruit.

Liam left Kensley as she started talking to a few pack members about how they were running out of baskets. He walked through watching some of the teens laugh, and some taking pictures. As he was walking past an apple tree an apple fell out of the tree and onto his head.

The apple bounces off his head and onto the floor. Liam bent down and picked it up looking up into the tree. On the other side of the tree was a latter with a person standing on the very top ledge. No one stood at the bottom Manning the latter, so he walked over.

As the person stood on their tippy toes the latter started to wobble. He tried to steady the latter, but it was already to late, so instead he opted to catch the person falling out the tree.

Serenity had been grumbling under her breathe. She had had such bad luck since the moment she woke up. Now if to even make it worse Mercedes had yet again abandoned her.

She was left to get the whole tree clear of apples by herself. Some of the apples were higher up than she could reach which made her curse under her breathe as she stood at the top of the latter. That's when it began to wobble under neath her. Her eyes widened and the latter fell from under her. She closed her eyes waiting for her body to crash into the earth.

Instead of crashing into the earth she crashed into someone, as for someone had actually caught her. When serenity opened her eyes they became ten times bigger as she realized who caught her.

"I would be much more careful next time," Alpha Liam put her down. She immediately bowed her head.

"I-I will. I'm sorry," she dared to look up. Only to see if he was mad.

Liam however had an unreadable expression as he stared down at the girl who just fell out of the tree. He simply then turned on his heels and walked away.
