After Liam, the new alpha declared Mateo the new Beta of the pack he dismissed everyone. Jonathan and Kensley were escorted towards the packs infirmary. Serenity sighed as the excitement finished. She now had nothing else to do, but finish her Wednesday night chores.

Liam's night however is just starting. Since he is the new alpha he needs to draw up all new treaties for the neighboring packs. At least that's what his father advised him to do before leaving to the infirmary, but little did Jonathan know he had better plans.

Plans that would soon alter the werewolf community as they know it.

              Serenity sighed as the fun had finished. The excitement of Alpha Liam challenging ex alpha Jonathan is all everyone is going to be talking about now, she thought as she pull out the broom and starts sweeping the kitchen floor.

A feast would be held tomorrow in Liam's honor, and everything had to be perfect. If everything wasn't perfect someone would get an ear full about it. That someone being Serenity, so she finished sweeping and pulled out the swifter, after changing the pad she quickly went over the floor.

After sweeping, mopping, and waxing the floor, Serenity scurried off to her bedroom in the attic. Serenity had been happy to get her own room in the pack house seeing as most Omegas shared rooms.  The room wasn't much, and quite small, but nonetheless she loved having her own space.

When she got inside her room she slumps down on her bed- which consists of a single mattress with Two fluffy pillows (filled with real dove feathers) at the head- and pulled off her large comforter slipping inside, not bothering to change. A deep slumber would soon over take her.

The next morning Serenity as usual had been the first one up. She got dressed in her usual graphic tee, pants, and converse then ran down stairs. In the kitchen people were already at work cooking the days meal. On the fridge as always is a list with all the omegas names on it, in the pack there are 50 (they try to keep the number low it hasn't ever reached triple digits). They're the ones who maintain the pack house. On the list besides their name is a room, or floor in pack house. At the top of the list is a day. The omega is in charge of cleaning that room or floor on that specific day.

Serenity looked for her name then went down the list looking for Thursday. Today she has the gym. Clicking her tongue she turned around walked out of the kitchen, and starts heading towards the gym. The gym is on the first floor tucked away in the back of the house.

Before walking inside the gym she stops in the supply closet and grabs everything she will be needing to clean with. Inside the gym, the smell of sweat is overwhelming. The gym is one of the stinkiest places in the house.

Serenity walks inside and grimaces at the smell. Sighing she set the bucket by the door and looks around. Upon seeing the Alpha she immediately bows her head. He looks at her with his cold blue eyes, "sorry alpha," Serenity spoke soft and slow, "I didn't think anyone would be in here," and she didn't. Usually no one used the gym at four in the morning.

"I was just about to leave," Alpha Liam lies to the girl, only have been there a mere thirty minutes. Serenity didn't say a word as she nods her head and moves out the way allowing him to leave.

She sighed as he left, knowing if he stayed she would be to nervous to do her work properly, and would end up making a fool of herself.

It took Serenity an hour and a half to get the gym to not smell like sweat. She wiped down all the equipment using fabeloso to mask the odor. She also put air fresheners in each corner of the room. Upon finishing her job she wiped the beads of sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand, then grabbed her cleaning supplies, and walked out the room to put everything back.

"Serenity! There you are! Did you hear the news?!" Mercedes her best friend came around the corner.

"What news?" Serenity shut the supply closet door and walk towards her friend.

"No school today!" Mercedes pumps her fist into the air and Serenity laughs.

"I just finished my chores too!" The girls squealed.

"Let's go hide in my room, before they try to make you help with the feast!" Mercedes grabs her friend by the wrist and starts yanking her forwards.

"I don't know I might get into trouble," and Serenity often was getting into trouble when Mercedes was around.

"Come on live a little!"

"Ok ok fine!" Serenity gives into her friends request and allows Mercedes to yank her up stairs and into her room.

Mercedes being the child of ex Beta Alex and his mate, is spoiled. Her room is bigger than most and she has two. One in the pack house and one at their actual home. Mercedes is also one of the only people that is nice to Serenity.

The two girls snuck up to Mercedes room. Once inside the comforts of the room the two gossiped. Or as they liked to say spilt the tea.

"How do you think Alpha Liam is going to rule?" Mercedes asked while Serenity brushed through her hair.

Serenity couldn't answer the question. She didn't like to judge a book by the cover, "he can't be that bad!" Serenity nervously laughed, "you want me to French braid your hair?" She was quick to move around the subject. Mercedes nods her head at Serenity then starts to part the girls hair deciding to do two French braids.

"I'm just glad my dads ok," Serenity nods her head. Even though Mercedes Family was sometimes vile to her she stilled loved them all dearly. Especially her parents.

Serenity had just finished up Mercedes braids when the bedroom door was thrown open, "Mercedes I brought you your dress for to-" her mom stopped dead in her tracks and I hopped up off bed and bowed my head.

"Serenity, sweetheart they've been looking for you downstairs,"

Serenity picks up her head.

"It's my fault mom I dragged her up here to do my hair. Is that the dresses we picked out online yesterday?"

Serenity excused herself as the two began to get invested in a conversation.

Audrey the old Luna's sisters-in-law was the first to stop Serenity, "You there, there's six carts of whine out back that need to be brought inside, do that them come back to see me."

Serenity merely nods her head. Going to the back she sees the case of wine and starts to lug them in side.

Everyone else inside were already tasking themselves and were doing their jobs. The pack house is extra chaotic. The alphas first official dinner has to of course be perfect.

After serenity finished bringing the cases of wine inside she found Audrey again. This time she was in the over packed dining room. Serenity stood waiting to get noticed.

"Stop standing around! The hunters should finally be back. They'll need help skinning whatever they brought back," Audrey barked a few orders at Serenity snd she was to do her least favorite job of them all. Skin the food.

                By the time the food had been skinned and put on platters to be served there is thirty minutes before dinner was to start, and Serenity was covered in blood and guts. She shuddered and went up stairs to shower.

"Serenity!" Mercedes stopped her on the way up to her room in the attic, "ew. You had to prepare the food?"

Serenity meekly nodded her head, "Now I have to get dressed. I'm pretty sure all the omegas are helping serve the special dinner," Mercedes cautiously grabbed her arm with two finger.

"Ew, come on you can use my shower to clean up."

"No it's ok I'll use the bathroom upstairs. I don't want to get your room dirty," Serenity made sure to avoids touching her friend as she walks past.

"Nonsense! It'll fine!" Mercedes grabbed Serenity's arm and yanked her down the hall to her room, "shower. I'll let you borrow a dress," Serenity admired Merced's dress while she spoke.

A cute silk red piece. It flared at the waist, but hung to her chest. The deep red brought out her friends porcelain skin and big die eyes. When she turned she saw the open back and the bow on the back of the dress making her want to gush even more.

Shaking her head Serenity came back down to earth, "I can't do that. What if someone gets mad!"

Mercedes rolled her eyes, "no on will even notice! Now hurry up and go shower."

For serenity's sakes she hoped no one would notice.

"Alpha, everything is about ready in the dining room," Liam nodded his head while fixing his tie.

A pack dinner was the last thing Liam wanted, but He must abide by tradition. At least until He made his own tradition, "I'll be down in a second."

The person scurried off to who knows where while Liam continued to stall. He didn't want to face the pack. Well, he didn't want to face the people in the dining room. Only certain people will be allowed to dine with him tonight. Tomorrow night he could dine with the whole pack if he wished.

With one last glance in the mirror he walked out his room and down the stairs. As he slipped down the stairs people who were passing by stopped and bowed letting him get through before they continued on. Liam didn't acknowledge them as he just looked strait ahead.

At last he made it to the ding room. Everyone stood when he walked in. He walked to the end of the table and sat down. Everyone followed in suit. His mother sat on his left and his beta sat at his right. Since he hadn't yet chooses a gamma he let his mom take the spot at the table.

The old betas family dined along with him. He looked over at the youngest member of the family. If he remembered correctly, and he always did, her name is Mercedes. The runt of family. Liam and Mercedes use to get along quite well when they were little. He was Seven when she was a baby. He was quite fond of her and they got along so well some had thought they were going to be mates.

If there wasn't a seven year age gap Liam might have not minded it. She was beautiful, young, but beautiful. If she hadn't been the runt of the family, and bleached her nearly dark hair, she could've been a love interest.

He shook off his thoughts as the first course of the meal was served. A salad as usual. Fucking rabbit food. Liam didn't touch it as conversation started around the dinner table.

"What is going to be your first act as alpha?" Alex asked him. Alex has always secretly been Liam's favorite twin.

"Always straight to the beneficial stuff brother! His first thoughts should be finding a mate!" Parker spoke up against his brother. Parker and Alex have always gotten along. With Alex being the more mature one and Parker being the well not mature one.

At the mention of mate a scowling look over took Liam's face, "My Mate. No one does that stuff anymore uncles. I didn't think you out of all people were so old fashioned."

Everyone looked at their alpha. Of course he was right. Mates are somewhat of a luxury in his day and age. It had started to become harder and harder to find the other half of you in this day and age that mates were going extinct. Liam wasn't going to hold his breathe waiting around to find some girl!

"It's a luxury, brother. To find your mate," Alex spoke to his brother and Parker rolled his eyes.

As the brothers began to bicker Liam's attention was adverted to the girl who walked in with a wine bottle. Her long curly hair cascaded around her shoulders. He began to get intrigued by a girl with such, beauty. She wore a yellow dress that complimented her caramel skin tone.

The girl made her way around refilling everyone's glass. She didn't make eye contact with anyone in the room besides for Mercedes, giving her a quick smile. It was time for her to fill Liam's cup when he grabbed her hand, startling her. Everyone seemed to stop talking and look in their direction.

Liam cleared his throat, "none for me thank you," and with that he dismissed the girl. Liam turned to his mother and whispered close to her ear, "who was that?" Conversation had already picked back up so no one heard a word he spoke.

"That's Serenity honey. Remember the baby from when you were little? She's quite a beauty isn't she?" His mom winked at him.

"Only if she weren't an omege."
