More of the past
"You can't just disappear like that on me!" Mercedes jumped into her friends arms upon seeing her.
"So we're talking again?" Serenity spoke while her friend hung onto her.
Mercedes rolled her eyes, "you really scared me. I thought something had happened."
Still holding her friend in her grip she shook her head, "I'm fine."
Pulling back Mercedes looked her friend up and down as if searching for any wounds.
"I'm fine I promise!" She swats at Mercedes hands.
"I'm just making sure. Although rumor has it your in isolation for the fight with Julianne."
Serenity rolled her eyes, "as if." Picking up her bags she began walk inside with Mercedes right next to her.
"It's going to be such a rush whenever you walk back into school Monday! Everyone's going to have a field day whenever they find out you never went into isolation and instead went on a trip with alpha Liam!" She clapped her hands and jumped up and down. The rush of the drama is exhilarating.
"Except they won't know." Serenity cut her friend short.
"What do you mean 'they won't know'?"
"Simple," she shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not going to mention anything. If anyone asks I was in isolation. End of discussion. I don't need the extra attention." They finally reached her room and she threw her bags near her desk.
"What? Why not?"
"Between the trip and your brother. I want to stay under the radar. Im sure Jullianne is still pissed at me."
"Seems like you have a rather interesting life here lately."
Serenity rolled her eyes, "tell me about it."
Aston caught Liam up, from missing the past few days. However he wasn't quite interested in his alpha, more or rather interested in the girl he brought back with him. As soon as he could escape he would.
A thing about Aston and Liam is that they've always been competitive. The son of an alpha and the son of a beta they would be competitive of course. Things were taken to a new level, whenever they were teenagers.
Aston remembers the event like it was yesterday.
Liam had came back to visit after a while. This was after he was done traveling with Oliver. He had finally found his mate in his own pack. He was stopping by before being sent to this prestigious werewolf school.
Everyone was stoked he was visiting. Aston hadn't seen his competition in a while and he was stronger, faster, than he had ever been before.
He was ready to show off his newly founded skills. Of course he was one of the first few people to greet him. As soon as Aston laid eyes on Liam he realized he wasn't the only one who changed.
The chubby little twelve year old he knew buffed up and lost all his baby weight at the age of sixteen. Nonetheless he greeted him as he would've when they were kids. With a slap on the back.
Liam had missed his friends. Friends he didn't consider Aston his competition.
"Long time no see friend."
"Friend? I think you mean competition." Aston has always been upfront.
Liam laughed it off shaking his head, "of course. Somethings never change."
"Stop being so formal! Loosen up your back home! We can have some fun now!"
"Fun? No such thing."
Aston rolls his eyes, "yes such thing. Come on!"
Aston ran off expecting Liam to follow. Liam took one last glance back at his father waiting for approval to go of with. When his father gave him a nod he follows after Aston.
He followed him all the way out to the woods. The clearing where the Clift is was the hang out back then, so of course everyone was waiting for them. By everyone we mean everyone. A bond fire is lit in the middle of it all and people liter everywhere.
"Welcome to your party!" Aston turned to Liam with a smile.
"My party?"
"Yes, your party. Let loose have fun."
Liam nodded his head and awkwardly scratched the back of his head. He didn't know what to do and felt out of place. This is not his scene.
If he's not out training in isolation he's with alpha Oliver traveling the world. To be in one place with so many people his age. It's abnormal.
He didn't branch out and stuck with Aston as they walked around greeting people. All the unfamiliar faces irked him. How did he not know who all these people were? They were his pack mates.
"Liam your back!" Kensley jumped in Liams arms.
At last a familiar face he knew, "Kensley," he breathed out. His arms wrapped around her small frame.
"When did you get back?" She pulled back.
"Just now actually."
"I'm glad your back!"
Aston watched the interaction. He had always been jealous of Liam. He had gotten Kensley's attention after all.
"Hey I'm here to," Aston interrupted the two.
Kensley rolled her eyes, "but your always here."
"Your point being?" Aston said giving her attitude.
"Guys, guys, how about we just have some fun?" Liam interrupted the two.
Kensley turns to him smiling, "let's go get a drink!"
She dragged him along by the arm while Liam attempted to protest. It was not anywhere in his nature to be under the age drinking. It might stunt his growth.
Of course everyone ignored his protests and shoved a red solo cup in his hands. He took it, but while everyone else sipped on the contents inside he held it ever so casually pouring some out every now and then.
Kensley stuck on to Liam like glue once all the alcohol settled in. Of course Aston stood to the side wishing that were him. Whenever he had finally had enough of the two he walk off and decided to pick up a girl of his own. Someone that didn't just want his title.
And that's how he stumbled upon Rosetta. Oh how wished he could turn back time and never meet her. Maybe things could have been different. Maybe, just maybe, she would've been his happily ever after.
"Aston honey, Liams back." His mother said walking into the kitchen.
Sometime during his day dreaming he had walked all the way back to his parents home. He shook his head nodding.
"Oh how wonderful maybe now you can join us for dinner?"
"Dinner? Dinner sounds great mom. I got one better. How about I bring a guest to dinner tonight?" The brilliant idea popes into his brain.
"A guest?!" His mom drops everything and makes her way to her son all seriousness, "a potential court?"
He shrugs, "maybe."
His mom twirled around singing, "I'm finally getting grand babies, I'm finally getting grand babies."
"What's this talk of grand babies?" His father walks into the room, "has our son finally gotten a girl pregnant?"
"No honey, he's being a girl to dinner! Isn't this exciting? I should start the preparations!" Remembering about dinner his mother rushed off.
"Bring a girl to dinner? Who's is she?" His father walked out the kitchen and Aston followed.
"Well if i told you it wouldn't be a surprise then would it?"
"Son, nothing is ever a surprise to me. I hear the rumors to you know. I'm not that old."
Aston blinked a few times.
His father took a seat on the recliner chair in the living room, "all I have to say is your making that poor girls life a living hell."
"What?"
"You don't think girls get in fight over shoes do you? Put two and two together."
Aston had though that Serenity and Julianne getting into a fight was rather out of place, but he dismissed. Could he actually be the cause of all her life's trouble? What should he do about this?
"Tell mom I won't be at dinner after all." He stands up and starts to walk towards the front door.
"Come to your senses?"
"Not entirely!" He said before shutting the front door behind him.
