Alpha Liam watched from his window as the teens disappeared into the woods. If he trusted Aston to do anything at all he trusted him to train his pack. His methods are quite effective.
A knocking on his office door brought him out of thought, "come in," he turned around and sat in his chair.
In walked Audrey. She was back at last, "Alpha," she bowed.
"Ahh Audrey? Did you accomplish what I sent you out to do?"
She set a sackful of folders on his desk, "Yup. Over half of the packs signed the treaty's. They relinquish power to you."
Liam smirked, "and the ones who didn't?"
"I think it'd be best if you sent Mateo to try and persuade a few of the ones that haven't. I heard that there was an attack while I was gone?"
"Yes, but nothing we couldn't handle," he picked up the stack of folders and started to flip though them.
"Also word of you choosing a Luna made its way through the grape vine," she sat down, "is this true?"
"Partly. Zoey, Alpha Oliver and Luna Zaria's daughter is staying with us. Oliver would like for me to wed his daughter. I haven't decided if I will or not yet."
"Best to not making any haste decisions yet. On the topic of marriage the Lonetail pack-"
Liam cut her off, "I see here they didn't sign the treaty. Is there a problem?"
"Yes, much like Alpha Oliver they would like to concrete the treaty by marriage."
Liam sighed, "of course they would."
"Yes it's one of the main reasons I am back. I am willing to go through with it for the sake of my pack."
Liam looked up at her, "you?"
"Yes, they would like me to marry their beta, since I have alphas blood. He's a two years older than me and I don't mind going through with it. He's quite a charmer," Audrey gushed over Luca. She secretly spent two weeks with him on her trip.
"I think it's a wonderful idea. You should speak with Jonathan about it, then we will decide."
"It's my choice. I would like to think I'm old enough to choose who I marry," Audrey started to get heated. She wasn't getting any younger and is already 37.
"The Lonetail pack will be switching over rule soon won't it? The alpha jr. will take over. I want him and the current alpha to sign the treaty, and the wedding will be here. Invite them both and a hundred of their pack mates to attend. The signing will happen then."
"Ok, I'll leave tomorrow to deliver the news!" Audrey hopped up, "we will have a grand wedding. I will send the arrangements for the wedding over as soon as they agree," Audrey left the alphas office.
Out in the woods the sun began to set. Serenity and Mercedes along with ten others were in charge of guarding the flag while other went to search for the other. The ever glowing flag hung in the tree.
The group protecting it was prepared for anything. Well most were. Mercedes sat complaining about how long it was taking.
"Can you shut your friend up?" Jamison, one of the guys that was supposed to be helping guard the flag, asked Serenity.
"I totally would, but I can't control her," Serenity leaned up against the tree with her arms crossed.
Jamison rolled her eyes and huffed under his breathe.
"I would have shut up if you asked nicely-" Mercedes stopped dead in her tracks and turned around, "did y'all hear that?"
Serenity pushed her self off the tree, "no."
"Shh, listen," and they all listened. No made a sound, at first all they could hear was the water splashing over rocks in the stream near by, and the wind in the trees. Then like everything was made clear they heard the sound of crunching leaves.
They all glanced at each other. Everyone immediately stood on guard.
"Four of you come with me, we'll go check it out, " Jamison took charge. Four followed after him included in the bunch is Mercedes. She goes with the group while Serenity stays behind.
"I think we should move our flag, somewhere past the stream," Serenity quietly whispered.
"We know the general direction they're in, but we don't know if they're only in that direction," Amber a girl in the group spoke up.
"She's right," Cason- another guy in the group- sided with Amber.
"They're nowhere near the river," Serenity rolled her eyes, "they'd have to be coming from the north, because that's where we started out, they could have span out east and west, but no way could they have gotten as far to go south. If they had they'd already pass us," Serenity crossed her arms.
"Guys She's right," Matthew took this time to step into the conversation, "I say Abby takes the flag and starts off for the river. We stay here and hold them back."
"Matthew, you can't possibly be siding with her," Cason.
"Oh so that's what it's about. Ranking. Get your head out of your ass Cason. You and I both know She's right. I don't know about you, but I'm not trying to run a 10k tomorrow," Matthew turns a back to Serenity, "sound like a plan?"
Serenity nodded her head, "Abby you down?"
Abby the shy one of the group simply nodded her head. No one else said a word. Matthew hopped in the tree climbed up to their flag, yanked it down and jumped out. Abby took the flag and she was gone.
Five minutes later three members from the other team came upon the group. Jullianne and Tripp being among the three. Jullianne's eyes narrowed in on Serenity. She cursed under her breathe.
The group didn't have time to react before the opposing team struck. Jullianne went straight for Serenity who stood her ground.
Jullianne threw a left jab then a right, in which Serenity bypassed them. Grabbing Serenity's shoulders she brought up her knee, knocking the air out of her. It all happened so fast Serenity couldn't react. Jullianne kept on pouncing not waiting for a reaction.
With Serenity on the floor she threw punch after punch, Serenity kept her arms crossed only being able to protect her face. Needing to get Jullianne off her she bared her claws and ran them down Jullianne's side.
She fell off Serenity gasping in pain, "You little bitch!"
Serenity got up backing away. Jullianne charged at Serenity grabbing her by the throat. At the same time she threw upper cut punches.
At last the group heard the howl, signaling the end of the game. Jullianne let Serenity go, but before she left she made sure to spit on her.
Mateo, Kensley, and Aston all stood in Liam's office. Liam sat in his chair massaging his temples as the group bickered.
"He went way out of line!" Kensley spoke throwing her hands up in the air.
"Agree! Several of the kids are in the hospital! The hospital! For god sake! How could you let that happen! Just letting them play without any ground rules!" Mateo yelled at Aston.
Aston remained calm, "Where's the fun in that."
"Fun in that! God you- you ahhh!" Kensley didn't even know how to assault him. Words wouldn't be enough. He needed to be punched in the face.
"Okay, Okay, ENOUGH!" Liam's voice shook the whole office and everyone straightened up and looked at him, "is anyone dead?"
"No," they all replied in unison.
"Over a dozen are in the infirmary though," Mateo said after.
Liam ignored him and continued on, "Was there a lesson in playing the game?"
"Yes, team work alpha," Aston replied.
"Okay then. I don't see a problem here."
"You don't, see a problem here? Alpha some are in the hospital because of their injuries !" Mateo raised his voice at Liam.
"Answer me this Mateo, were people injured in out last battle. Did people die?"
"Yes, Alpha."
"How many dead?" Liam crossed his arms.
"13 sir."
"How many injured?"
"Over 100, alpha."
"Exactly. We want the number of dead to go down, these kids need to learn how to take a little pain. They need to see how it will be. Since they're only injured and not dead, I do not see a problem with Aston's teaching. Now if you'd excuse me I'd like to get to bed," Liam stood up and made his way out of his office.
Feed back?
Is Aston's teaching to much?
Is Serenity Okay?
Who won?
