Elegant.

Poise.

Grace.

No matter how you said it. No matter how you explained it. The true beauty of the place could only truly be taken in at its fullest glory in person.

Serenity still couldn't believe she was there. And she had been there (in our time) a month. Although she could make it a day, a week, a year, she choose a month. Kind of like a 31-day free trial (even though the concept of time didn't really exist in their world).

She experienced it though. A month of it.

And whatever it was.

It was magical. Nothing no one else would discover.

One that you would hope someday, Some day every soon everyone would have a chance to discover it, but that dream would never happen, so it's just a far distant dream.

A final resting moment.

And then just like that it was over. The month had come and gone. The time spent was just another memory. Serenity said her final goodbyes and went back to her own time.

Even though her mother begged her to stay she knew she had to go back. Even though the connection between them had been severed she still missed him dearly.

She missed his scruffy unshaven face, his pine and earthy scent, and most of all she missed the way his arms wrapped around her. Nothing in the world, the universe could compare to how he held her. Even this magnificent world she had the pleasure to experience could not compare.

The mate bond between the two may have been severed but that didn't mean it didn't leave any long lasting effects.

         On her final day her mother had insisted on making her ceremony to ho back to the human world grand. Serenity abided and found herself going through gowns.

"Honey, we have to start getting ready. Pick a gown." Her mother rushed her to choose a single gown.

Serenity was at lost. The furs we're grand! Serenity had come during their winter season. While on earth they were entering their spring season.

She continued to flip through all the different dresses.

"White means purse," her mother began off picking up a beautiful white fur lined dress. Suddenly she threw it to the floor disregarding it, "but that's not what we're going for. We want the last time you will be seen the most memorable time. Everyone will be wearing furs to keep warm. Mostly fox, there's one dress that we haven't even considered yet!" as if a light bulb lit up in her mothers head she she disregarded all the dresses to the ground and grabbed her daughters wrist yanking her out the room.

"Where are we going?"

Her question was soon answered as they entered her mothers chambers. Her mother had the largest, grandest room of them all. Of course she even had her own floor in this giant palace. From under her bed her mother pulls out a medium sized trunk.

"This is an heirloom," her mother still on her knees from getting the trunk from under her bed looked up at Serenity with big eyes, "only a few women in our family have ever had the pleasure of wearing this dress."

Serenity examined the box. It was made out of fine oak and had golden embellishments. The latch was gold matching the embellishments. With big eyes also she watched as her mother unhooked the latch to the trunk.

Opening it she saw the most beautiful red velour fabric.

Her mother pulls out the dress so they can view it in its fullest glory.

Gasping Serenity cupped her hand over her mouth, "t-the fur." she stuttered.

Her mother nods with a huge grin on her face.

"Is-is it real?" still in shock Serenity touches the fur.

"Yes. Real Wolf fur from the first ever werewolf. My first ever creation. She's beautiful isn't she?"

"She?"

Selene nods her head, "yes she. Her name was Sienna. She was the first of your kind."

"And you want me to wear her?"

Again she nods her head, "yes. This dress has only been worn a handful of times. It is a great honor and responsibility."

"Are you sure about this?"

Her mother smiles at her with the warmest expression ever, "I've never been so sure about something in my life."

            It was time for the ceremony to begin. It was time for Serenity to return home.

Her two brothers helped her get situated on her white stallion. They got her up on the beast and then boarded their own riding next to her. They wore the all white suits same suits with gold decor.

Serenity was in all with it all. The majestical feeling in the air. Even now as they begin to ride off into the forest to preform the ceremony the feeling is only building up.

At long last whenever everyone was ready they began to ride off. First a few guards all riding black pure black stallions. They looked magnificent against the pure white snow as they road. Next the moon goddess in her gold carriage pulled by white horses.

Then Serenity and her two brothers. They were to escort their sister into the woods to preform the ceremony.

As they got closer and closer to the spot of arrival serenity could feel the power. This particular spot that they were headed towards held so much power. No wonder the ceremony had to be performed here.

The parade of people stopped about ten miles from the destination and serenity was mildly concerned. Nothing bad ever happened here so she knew it was apart of the plan.

One of her brothers hopped off his horse and began to strip. She looked away as her other brother began to explain that from here they had to shift and venture on as wolfs. They would carry her the rest of the way.

After they both had shifted she hopped on ones back and they were off. Her mother was being escorted on her top guards back and moody of the guards that were escorting them were already off.

The journey was short lived as they had finally arrived to their destination. People were already gathered to say one last goodbye to their princess.

They all stood at the top of a dip in the earth. As serenity began to walk forwards she noticed and ice path leading down into a bed of water that is surrounded by ice. The water was glowing a beautiful blue and imitated so much power.

"These waters are a portal. To different places everywhere. It's how you will get home," her mom came up from behind her and touched her shoulder.

"The waters?"

Selene nods her head, "We gather here today to say goodbye to one of my children!" She begins talking to the crowd, "but this goodbye is not forever. When the time is right she will come back to us."

Without warning the queen began to glide ever so gracefully down the ice path. She steps straight into the waters. It begins to bubble warming up. The power of the goddess and the power of the waters colliding.

She looks back at her daughter and nods her head. As if a signal to everyone they all howl in unison. A final goodbye to their princess.

Serenity descends the ice as gracefully as her mother and steps into the waters. She feels nothing. Not the wetness on her feet or the coolness of the waters. Amazed she walks in deeper until she's eventually past her mom and in the middle of the pool.

She hadn't noticed how her mom had been changing words under her breathe the entire time, so whenever a whirlpool opened up beneath her feet to say she was surprised is an understatement. She was in shock as the hole opened up beneath her and swallowed her whole.

She reached out for her mother but there was no one. Just darkness, until there wasn't. And she was...somewhere.

Gasping she looked around her the sun shone high up above making her have to shield her eyes with her hand.

"Serenity?"

Turning around she came face to face with the pair of eyes she missed so dearly. With a huge smile on her face she hiked up her dress and ran towards him. Upon reaching him she threw herself into his arms.

They wrapped around her as she had longed for them to do. He took a deep breathe breathing in her scent. It had changed.

Much as her scent had changed so had he.
