The air around me was rushed and cold. The cool harsh air nipped at my skin, and my eyes were glued shut. I groaned attempting to open my eyes. Only opening the at the sound of a voice, "easy there."

My eyes fluttered open. Looking strait up I saw the green tree tops and the grey sky full of clouds. Turning my head to the right my cheek meets the cool dirt of the forest floor, turning my head to the left I meet the green orbs that haunted nightmares.

Sitting up right I gasp and start to hyperventilate, my lungs soon screamed for the air that was coming and leaving to way to fast for it to retain, and then his voice again, "Lina, breathe slowly. In and out."

I nodded doing as he instructed. Only to start hyperventilating again when I realize what I had seen. A monster. My breathing started to pick up and I backed away from the thing sitting next to me, "I'm not going to hurt you."

I shake my head, "h-h-how do- w-what are- monster!" I couldn't comprehend words, the language of English was not on my side.

He chucked, "far from that actually. Now the guy that hired me to assassinate you, yah he's a monster."

"Assassinate m-me?" I questioned and my breathing became more harsh, a thick layer of cold sweat was starting to cover my body.

"I'm not going to hurt you in any way. Not anymore at least," I scooted back even more staining my jeans with moist dirt.

"A-anym-more?" He shook his head.

"Yes not anymore. I've known you, truly known you, but a day and you interest me. I don't know why, but I've decided to spare your life under one condition," I look at him strait in the eyes, "no connection with your old friends."

"W-why not?"

"Because darling they are what I am. A monster. And they are the exact reason a price had been put on that pretty little head of yours. I may have been the first sent to kill you, but I most definitely will not be the last," my breathing became leveled.

"Jonathan, Leah, the twins, monsters? Impossible. No way," he rolled his eyes and stood up.

"Yes I know right lover boy a werewolf, either dream come true or your worst nightmare. Either way he is what I am, but he's alpha," I looked up at him.

"Alpha? Wait, why kill me out of all people? Why not Leah or Audrey?" I question. A million more soon to come.

"Because you my darling are special. You are the mate of one of the now most powerful alphas," he ignored my questioned on what alphas were.

"Mate? Like soulmate?" A million and one.

"Yes soulmates like destined for life. You will bear his children for an heir to take the alpha position after y'all retire and all that junk," my face went green and the urge to vomit came soon after.

"I'm going to vomit," I spoke my thoughts. He walked over to me and crouched in front of me.

"I know this is all much, but you have to stay away which is still possible since he didn't mark you yet."

"Mark? He's going to pee on me?!" He chuckled.

"No, he's going to bite you," he then put his canine teeth on display and I shrieked back.

"Oh god, I'm going to die."

"That I will make sure you will not."

"Wait Why not just kill me though wouldn't that be easier? Why spare me?"

"I don't know. Somethings  just telling me to not kill you." He looked me in the eye then stood up offering me a hand up, "it's getting late let's go."

I took his hand, "what time is it?"

"Like three something probably. We should head back to the school and grab your car. I'll ride with you to your house," my eye brows rose.

"Are you like my personal body guard now?" I questioned.

"Would you rather me be an assassin?" I shook my head, "ok then it's settled I'll be your body guard until no one wants to kill you anymore."

"When will that be?"

"Looks like your going to be stuck with me for a while seeing our circumstances," I stairs up at him.

"Who wants me dead?"

"My my my do you ask so many questions."

"Jonna who wants to kill me?" He shook his head.

"A very nasty man who would do away with his own son to get what he wants," I frowned.

"Tell me who Jonna."

He sighed,"Jonathan's father wants you dead."
