. . .those green orbs I loved so much.

"Show me again!" I laughed and Jonna shook his head.

"No, I've showed you a million times," I pulled out my puppy dog eyes.

"Please! Just one more time!" He sighed and pulled out his hand. It morphed into that of a dogs hand and I watched in amusement.

"I'm done. Read a book or something," I shook my head and looked around.

It had been a full day since Jonna had informed me about the other world. The world you only know of from books. The world I wish I had not entered under these circumstances. I sighed. We are currently hiding out in the schools library waiting for school to start. Jonna had somehow convinced the councilor to give us the same schedule so now where ever I go he follows.

I don't know weather to be delighted that he didn't kill me or sad because Jonathan and I will never ever happen. I looked up at Jonna.

What's the end game out of this? When do I get to go back to my old life? I sighed yet again, "stop doing that."

"Stop doing what?" I questioned.

"You know what," the bell rang at last and he stood up.

"What happens now?" I asked.

"We avoid them and the rest of the pack," I question him," oh your human. I forget. A pack you know don't you read twilight or something. I really don't want to explain myself right now," I shook my head.

"His own pack goes to this school?" I asked. He nods his head, "wouldn't it be easier to transfer schools?"

"You know it's just be easier to take you out of the country, but your parents would probably have a problem with that," we walk out of the library and he entwines our hands, "follow my lead." I gulp and do as said.

Halfway to home room is where the trouble starts. Someone from behind grabs my wrist and I'm twisted around coming eye to eye with those green orbs I loved so much. But, behind those eyes all I could see was a monster.

"You have no business here. Walk away," Jonna intervened. I look down to the side and took my arm out of his grip.

"You. Your the one we smelled. This is my pack and there for it's my business!" Jonathan snapped.

"We are on no mans land this isn't yours. It's no ones," Jonna shot back. A crowd started to gather.

"Back off, or I will put you in your place," Jonathan blared his fangs and Audrey stepped in blocking him from my view.

"Eva, please, come with us," I wanted nothing more than to give her my hand and everything be ok, but I couldn't. Her family wanted me dead.

Jonna stepped in front of me, "she's not going with any of you. She knows. She knows it all."

At those simple words everyone seemed to go crazy. Fangs started to replace teeth and eyes turned big and yellow. I started to wonder who at this school was actually human. The whole crowd around us seemed to be the fairy tale creatures.

"Jonathan!" The crowd parted and our principal was seen. Everyone went back to normal, "take it off of school property, or get to class!" Our principal was read in the face and if he was a cartoon character I'm sure smoke would be coming out of hears.

"We're sorry John. We just got ahead of ourselves," Jonathan spoke.

"I don't care. Now either take it off school grounds or go to class. Last warning. Don't make me suspend our treaty," Jonathan nodded his head.

"You heard him. Get off school grounds or go class," Jonathan spoke and the crowd disbanded people fleeing in every which way.

Jonna, the principal, and I were the last ones left, "you told me you'd keep the peace Jonna. Don't make me regret keeping you here," with those last words the principal walked away and I looked up at Jonna who was standing next to me.

"What now?" I asked.

"We go to class."

The last bell of the day rang. I was hoping with the ring of the bell the tension would leave, but it didn't. Jonna and I walked through the halls all day with all eyes on us. The attention was foreign to me, but Jonna seemed to bath in it for he would tell me to 'ignore them' or 'they're at the jewel of the century'.

"My wolf is itching to be let out. Do you have a curfew or something?" I shook my head as I hopped in the car, "good."

I tossed my keys to him and he drove. Jonna drove deep into the woods only stopping when we could travel by car and had to go on by foot.

"Ok, this should be deep enough. We should be semi safe here," I nod. Jonna starts to strip and I turn in the opposite direction.

Seconds later he was in wolf form. I walked over and ran my hair through his dark fur, and he licked my hand. I giggled. Jonna was soon running around with me following after him or attempting to follow after him.

He would stop every once in a while to see if I was still keeping up with. At one point him time a bunny crossed our path then ran in the opposite direction at the sight of him. I laughed.

At last we made our way back to where Jonna put his clothes. After Jonna had shifted we then made our back to my car where I reevaluated the word safe.

At my car, waiting for us, was Jonathan. My heart stopped, and not because the sight of him, but because we were out numbered by a lot. I gulped and Jonathan could see the fear in my eyes I was sure of it.

"Give up. All I want is Eva. You could get out of this alive," Jonna chuckled.

"I'm getting out of this alive with Eva by my side," at this point in time I was helpless.

"What's the point of this?" Jonathan directed the question to me, "why are you running from me?" I shook my head, but did not speak.

"Reject him Eva. End it here and now. You could get back to your old life without a target on your back," I looked over to Jonna.

"Reject?" I questioned.

"Yes, sever your link with him a way out of this world of make believe. A way of telling him you don't want him or to be his soul mate," I looked back at Jonathan.

"Don't do that Evangeline. I know you want to be with me," did I want to be with him? The easy answer to that was yes. I wanted to be with him, but I could never give him what he needed.

I turned back to Jonna, "will it hurt?"

"Yes, it will be excruciating, but will be worth it," I looked back.

"How do you do it," my eyes locked with Jonathan's green ones.

"I can't let you do that, I'm sorry," a knife was launched through the air directed at Jonna. He moved out of harms way, but then they attacked him.

Wolf after, wolf, after wolf launched at him. I screamed, "no no please!"

I was held back by Jonathan. Then everything happened so fast. Jonna was shredded to pieces, as I begged and pleaded with Jonathan to let him live. When that didn't work I tried to go to his aid only to be held back by Jonathan, I punched, kicked, bit, I tried and tried until it was to late.

The wolves backed away when there was nothing left, but a bloody body. Jonathan at last let me go, and I fell to the ground screaming and crying.
