Cadmael's POV

"Have a safe and nice journey." Kacy said and hugged me. We were leaving early in the morning because I wanted to be home in time. I couldn't sleep last night because my wolf was restless. We could feel our mate's worries, so I just needed to be with him.

"Thank you. I will call you when I get there."

"No you will not. I bet Michael will keep you busy to call me but you can call when you're done." He winked.

I blushed and walked to the car. I was already craving my mates touch and what he said brought so many fantasies in my head. I groaned frustrated and urged Ashton to start the car already. He said his goodbyes and we started our journey back home. I kept thinking what it was that Michael wanted to tell me about. I hoped it was all good and nothing bad.

"Wake up, Cad." I groaned as someone shook me and opened my eyes which I closed them right after due to the sun's light.

"Are we there yet?" I asked.

"Almost there now."

I yawned and pressed my head on the car door window. I watched as the trees came and go due to the fast movement of the car. It was better that I slept through most of the drive because it saved me from checking my phone again and again for time as Theodore did.

Soon we were passing by the pack houses and I saw as some pack members worked and did their things. Right then an idea came to me. It wasn't right for the Alpha to live away from his people. It was better to live close together and these people didn't even know me. It was time I got introduced to them.

We passed through the whole pack houses and went further to the secluded area where our house was. I had not notified Michael when I left Kacy's home. He knew I was coming today and I could only hope he was home.

Ashton parked the car in our driveway and I waited for the front door to open but it didn't. I focused on any movement but there was none. I watched as Ashton brought out all the bags. He said some spell, sending my bags in my room and his to their house.

"You can go for the day." I told him as I walked to the empty house.

"But I thought I could keep you company."

"No Ashton. Just go, I'll be fine." I said and he didn't argue.

I sighed when he left and I almost called him back, regretting my choice of refusing his company.

"Why the long face, love?"

My breath hitched when I felt Michael behind me. I felt his hot breath on my neck, which was accompanied by his lips kissing my neck slowly.

"You thought I wasn't welcoming you."

"I-I..." I mumbled incoherently as words failed to come to me, my mind and body focused on his teasing touches. He pulled out the other part of my shirt that was tucked in my pants and his hands moved upwards, passed my stomach and latched on my hardening nipples.

"Shush angel, I understand." He said and retreated his hands back down to my waist were he turned me around to face him and kissed my lips.

I moaned at the contact and threw my arms around his neck. His hands that were clutching my waist went further down and kneaded my ass cheeks then gripped my legs that circled his waist. He carried me the short distance to the house, lips still kissing and nothing stood in our way as we busted through the front door.

I was soon dropped on the couch as he tore off his t-shirt. He hovered above me and kissed along my neck, biting and leaving marks while his hands unbuttoned the shirt off me. His mouth then descended on my exposed nipples and I cried out in pleasure.

His phone began to ring upstairs and we both ignored it as our purpose was getting each other off. Then the telephone in the living began to ring after his phone stopped. I tried to push him off me but he growled as he began unbuckling my pants. Suddenly he stopped his movements and remained still for a bit. I knew he was talking on the link with someone.

After some minutes, he groaned and looked at me. He didn't have to tell me he was leaving for me to know. He kissed my lips a bit more then withdrew. He stood up and ran upstairs to collect his phone I guessed. He came back down with a T-shirt on, while talking on the phone.

"There was an accident at the construction site. I'm not sure yet what happened but I have to leave now." I nodded and he helped me up from the couch and gave me few kisses.

"I promise to continue what we started when I'm back."

"Okay. Be safe." I smiled and he kissed my forehead then ran out of the house. I heard his car drive away as I picked up my torn shirt and walked up the stairs. I started feeling dizzy and missed a step. Suddenly I felt Ashton steadying me and slowly I regained my sight and stood straight.

"Thanks." I said.

"Michael sent for me and warriors have been placed around the house."

"Just help me up to my room." I told him and together we walked up there. I lied on the bed as I felt exhausted from nowhere. I even started sweating which Ashton noticed and started to help out.

"It's the magic and the children. One of them is feeding on your magic." Ashton said and I nodded in understanding. Now that I was on the bed and a cool cloth on my forehead, I started feeling sleepy. I didn't fight it and allowed myself to sleep peacefully.

"Hello," I answered the phone that has been ringing and successfully woke me up. I didn't know how long I was asleep or how long my phone was ringing.

"Thank goddess you answered. Angel, I left my laptop in our room and there is some information there that I need."

"How may I help?" I asked as I stood up from the bed and stretched. I was feeling okay and had my strength back.

"Look up some email for me. It's from Alpha Norman and from yesterday."

"Who's he?"

"He's a neighboring Alpha of the Kahuna pack. Just find his contact and send me that."

"Alright." I found the laptop and switched it on. "Password?" I asked.

I typed in the password and then looked for the email. I got the needed information and told him. He ended the call with a promise to come home soon as possible.

The door to my room opened and Ashton walked in with a tray of food. I set the laptop on the bed as I got occupied with the delicious food presented to me.

"Where is Theodore?" I asked.

"He left with Alec who was called in for work by Michael. I guess a lot has changed since we left."

Alec and Michael working together wasn't expected. I wasn't sure if he mentioned to me about them working together or not. I just hoped it was enough to mend the damage between Theodore and him. I finished my lunch and sat on the bed. I had nothing much to do and I might as well mess around with Michael's laptop.

I opened an email that was from a pack member. It was an omega thanking Michael for allowing them to work in his company. I smiled knowing my idea worked and it was well received by the omegas. I read many emails and many of them were just plain odd work things. I was about to stop when I saw an email that interested me. It was an email from Brian whom I was sure was Katherine's brother. Or maybe it wasn't, so I opened it.

I began reading the message. It was about a prophecy and Katherine as usual. It was from months ago. As I continued reading the message my heart began beating faster. I placed a hand on my chest and continued reading. There was a recent conversation between them that made me feel weak. I placed a hand on my stomach and my mind became wild with a million thoughts.

What was written in there was something new to me. Even if it was from months ago, Michael had not told me about it. He was keeping this from me and I wondered if there was a lot more he was hiding from me. The laptop began to slide down and I barely caught it before it hit the floor. I placed it on the bed and stood up.

As what I read kept on repeating in my head, I started getting angry at Michael. The sun was already setting and I was sure he would be home soon. Just like I thought, I heard his car pull up. The front door opened and he called my name but I didn't answer. He came dashing in our room and from the look on his face, I was sure he knew how screwed he was.
