Chapter Eighteen

(About Justice)

Justice knew he was a seer when he turned ten years of age. It was forbidden in the kingdom to have seers. The royal family killed all the seers who were born before Justice. Years passed and a time came when the royals needed a seer but unfortunately, there was no one alive.

When Justice was discovered, he was taken by the royals and since then, he never saw his parents and siblings. He was raised by the royals and did everything their hearts desired. Justice was never allowed to leave the palace and the kingdom. He had guards who watched his every movement. In other words, he was a prisoner of the palace.

The royals took him when he was ten years old. During the first few years, he asked the royals to let him visit his family but his request was repeatedly denied. So he began to use his powers to see how his family was doing. When the king found out, he put a spell that shielded his family and that was the last time he saw them.

For twenty two years, his magic was used by the royals. In these years, he has seen his powers and knowledge being used for both evil and good by them. He had to do everything he was told or else his family would be killed. So he worked hard and obeyed anything told by the royals.

When he was thirteen, Justice had a vision of a child; an omega child born in the Knight's family. There was nothing special of this child and he wondered why he was shown this. Each and every vision of his showcased an event or something special affecting a lot of lives but then there was nothing about this child.

He dismissed it as a faulty dream but that was not the last time he saw of the child. In fact, it was the beginning of countless dreams of this child. He was repulsed at first but then little by little, his views on this child changed until he began looking forward to dream about him.

One day, he had a dream of the same child but this time something was different about him. After searching for the source, he found out about the magic in the boy. This puzzled him since he knew the child never had magic. What got his attention also, was that the magic was slowly killing the boy. Whoever had cast the magic, knew it would kill the boy.

Justice was angry and he traced the magic back to the caster. In other term, Justice was known as a clairvoyant; he could see both the future and past of a person. So when he found the girl who had cast the magic on the child, he saw both the future and past. It was through this that he came to know of the child and his mate.

He saw how love blinded the girl in overlooking an evil act by claiming she was helping. Love made her selfish, dishonest, a killer and unlovable.

Justice didn't care what was happening between the mate and the girl but he cared about the child. He didn't want him to die so he started looking for a way to save him. He knew asking the royal's permission to leave would not work, so he didn't even try. However, he spent days in the library looking for a way to save the child.

He discovered a lot during the days he spent in the library. He found a spell to use on the child. This was to create a shield on the child's soul to control the magic in him. Justice also learned the ability to transfer his soul from one place to another and it was through this way that he saved the child.

Time passed and the seer still had dreams of the child. He saw both his happiness and sadness throughout his childhood. He always visited him spiritually and offered help by strengthening the shield because as the child grew up, the magic was getting stronger.

It was after the child's eighteenth birthday that Justice Secret was reviewed. The royals found out of his ability to travel spiritually and the fact that he was helping the child.

"You, ungrateful creature, how dare you disobey my orders?" The king yelled at him that night.

"I'm sorry, my king," was all Justice could say at his enraged king.

"I will cast the spell I did on your parents and you will never see this boy again!"

"No!" Justice disagreed with his master's decision. He couldn't let the king take away his only light to his life. He would be broken without the child's dreams during the night.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't." The king hissed and Justice thought whether he should tell his master of his secret or not but he knew his secret was the only thing that could help him.

"The boy is my mate." He uttered his deepest secret.

In his time of discoveries in the library, he found out about mates and how one can have more than one. He found out the reason why he constantly dreamt of this boy. The urge to save his mate is what drove him to master the ability to transfer his soul around. The anger he felt when he knew about the bomb planted in the boy.

"Ha ha ha ha ha," laughed the king. To him, stories about mates were for the weakling were-creatures. Justice was his strong weapon against enemies and disobedience people. He wasn't a sissy who would care about unimportant things.

"My boy; that reason is fit to why I should cast the spell. Mates are for weaklings and not powerful people like us. Love does not exist on this world. Love is for weaklings. I don't want you to have any strings attached to this boy. This boy will only make you weak." The king said.

But Justice was far more attached to this boy than the king thought. He loved the boy and knew his love was right. His love for the boy was also his strength because this love made him disobey the king by not reporting about the dreams. However, Justice knew how evil the king was and he didn't let his love to blind him from this threat by acting stupidly. He knew that the king could kill the child just to make him not turn into a weakling. He didn't want anything to happen to the child and so he chose his words wisely.

"Tell me more about this boy." The king ordered.

"He also has a mate of his own kind. I'm only his second mate and nothing will become of us." Justice confessed to his master and did his best to hold in the tears.

"That's wonderful!" The king exclaimed happily. "I thought he had only you but it turned out he has another; this is perfect."

"How is it perfect?" Justice couldn't help it but ask his master.

"You love the boy, I know you do. You will be heartbroken if the boy mated with the other soul mate. This heartbreak will make you strong again, you will see how love is unnecessary in our lives." The king said.

Then it was decided on that day, that the king would not cast the invisible spell on the child's life. He did that in order for Justice to watch from a far on the child's happiness, in hope that it would break his heart. However, he was banned to never visit the child spiritually. Justice had no choice but to obey his master and he never visited the child again.

Since those unlucky events happened, Justice stopped having frequent dreams about the child. It started to be just once in a month then once in months. He knew that the child and his best friend moved to another pack. He also knew that the child had not yet met his other mate although they were close.

Then one night he had a dream. In this dream he saw his mate who had met his werewolf mate and was now pregnant. It was supposed to all be giggles and rainbows but something seemed off. He felt the same dreadful feeling he felt when the child was dying years ago and after poking about, his worst fears were confirmed.

His mate was dying.

His first action was to help the child once again even if it meant disobeying the king but this time he couldn't. He tried again and again but it proved impossible to save him spiritually. This situation needed his presence there but Justice knew how impossible such a thing would be because the royals would never let him out of their sight.

But fate didn't abandon him, for his strength to fight came stumbling in the kingdom months later. The child's mate, who was desperately seeking for help to save our mate, came looking for it at the very same kingdom Justice was kept.

Right then and there, Justice knew he had to do something because it was only him who could save the child. Time was running out as he thought of ideas to persuade the royals until one night it came to him in a vision. He hastily ran out of his chambers and went to the child's mate who had fallen victim to the sleeping spell casted on the kingdom.

He brought him out of sleep and then pursued an audience with the king.

"What brings you here at this hour? We didn't summon you." The king asked.

"I stand before you my king; I have a request." Justice replied firmly.

"Request denied. Please leave." The queen said with no care to listen to what the seer had come to say.

"I had a vision." Justice said and this got the King's attention.

"Go on." He urged the seer.

"My request; I want to leave the kingdom for a very important issue."

"No! You know the rules boy. You are not allowed to leave." The king shouted, got off his seat and came to stand before Justice.

"If you allow me to leave then I will tell you this vision I had. But if you refuse, then I'm afraid I won't tell you a bit of the vision I had, just so you know, it isn't looking good for you." Justice explained calmly, not even bothered with the furious king that stood beside him.

"I can kill you where you stand in this instant boy."

"And it will be your loss for the important knowledge you could gain from me. It's your choice, my king."

The king stood there, stunned by the boy's boldness. He fell right at Justice's mercy as he contemplated on the right choice. The Queen tried to pitch in but was silenced by the king as he stared down Justice. He knew if this knowledge from the vision wasn't important, then Justice couldn't risk his life like this. The king needed the information and killing the boy wouldn't help and so he made his choice.

"One week." The king whispered and went back to his seat; but then he became curious of this 'important issue' the seer had to go to. "Where are you going?"

"The wolf who seeks your audience is the other mate to my mate. I know you will not grant his wishes; but I can if I go with him."

"Why are you helping him when he already has someone in his life?" The queen sneered in displeasure but Justice smiled.

"That is also a mystery to me, my Queen." Justice replied, feigning ignorance but deep down in his heart, he knew why. It was because he loved the child. To him it didn't matter if there was another mate to his mate; it only assured him of his mate's safety in his absence.

When the time came for Justice to introduce himself to the other mate of the child, he did so with pride. He expected rejection but the other mate took it all in stride which also surprised the royals who were waiting for him to reject me and so making my request void. Apparently, wolves were very possessive of their mates and so his lack of rejection to me puzzled me.

However, I had no time to ask more about it as a vision of our mate at the brink of death came to me. I reacted hastily and together we left to save our mate.
