There they go at it again. It's been five years since I helped Alex and it's only gotten worse. I'm walking to my locker when someone trips me, but instead of falling on my face, like I would have done If I hadn't seen it coming, I curl into a ball and do a somersault and continue walking. I don't look back I just find my way to my locker. When I get there Bramley leaning against it. I sigh and walk towards him with my head held high. When I get there he starts speaking "Hello Meagan."

"What do you want Bramley? I'm sick and tired of your shit."

"Ouch that hurt. But you know how I turned 18 last month?"

"Yes it was the day after the rank changing. Must be hard for you because you have to wait a whole month to have a rank change." I say in a monotone voice, ever since he turned 18 he's been trying to convince me that he's my mate. But it's a bunch of bull shit because you can only tell who your mate is from when you are both 18 or older.

"Yes it is hard but I might get through it if I didn't have to fight my mate."

I growl getting fed up with this shit "For the last time Bramley I am not your mate and even if I was I would reject you in seconds of finding out. SO GET OUT OF MY FACE!" I snap

He flinches at my harsh tone "Now is that anyway to talk to-"

I cut him off with my Alpha voice "GET OUT OF MY FACE BEFORE I KILL YOU!"

He cowers away and runs off. Eli comes up to me "You know that was unnecessary right?"

I look at him "It was necessary. He would not leave me alone and he keeps saying he is my mate when he is not. Even if he was I would reject him before he could say 'books'. Oh and on the topic of mates have you found yours yet?" Eli turned 18 two days ago. Eli looks at me and nods his head "Well who is it? I have to meet him, and I'm talking right now not even in five minutes."

Eli laughs "Follow me and you can meet him." he starts to walk away and I quickly go after him.

"What's his name?"

"Leo."

"How old is he?"

We walk outside "18"

"When did you meet him?"

"Yesterday. Now what's with all the questions."

"No reason. When's his birthday?"

"It was last month he already did his test." Eli says.

Eli stops and I look around. After about thirty seconds we keep walking. "What rank did he end up with?"

"Fighter. Now can we stop with the interrogation?"

"Ya ok we will continue this when I meet him officially as your best friend instead of his alpha."

Eli sighed and kept walking while sniffing the air to find his mate again. While looking I see my brother, Jarod, looking around for someone. Ignoring him, I keep walking with Eli and we stop at a boy with black hair and green eyes at his locker, grabbing his books, for his next class. Eli starts speaking with excitement in his voice "Leo."

Without turning Leo speaks "Eli what's up?"

"I want you to meet my best friend."

He turns and looks at me, puts his hand to his chest and looks down "Alpha how may I help you on this fine morning?"

I start to laugh "Well I had to meet my best friends mate now didn't I?"

He looks up a bit "My mate is your best friend?"

"Yes he is now enough with the formalities. Let's meet properly. Hi, my name is Meagan and I heard from a source that you are my best friends mate." I stick out my hand for him to shake. Slowly he puts his hand in mine, and shakes.

He looks at me warily and speaks cautiously "Hi my name is Leo and your source is correct I am Elis' mate."

We both drop our hands and, I look at Eli and back at Leo "May I speak with you in private Leo?"

He seems worried "Yes of course Alpha."

"Call me Meagan." We walk off a little into the school and I start to speak "You might be my best friends mate but if you hurt him I will kill you. You will both be my brothers Beta but I will not hesitate to do something to you if you break his heart. Ok?"

"Yes of course. But I hope you know that I will never do anything to hurt Elijah."

"I will hold you to that. Now let's get back. Oh, and don't tell Eli about what we spoke about."

"Ok will do Al- Meagan."
