My maid's new client?!
It was an early morning. There was a light fog that was slowly clearing and the misty dew had a certain crispness. She had been lazy during summer vacation but the atmosphere was too perfect so she had headed to the park, where they had their family outing...
Kyoka Jiro was sitting on the same bench, strumming her guitar. She wasn't playing any specific song in particular, just letting the peaceful atmosphere lead her tune. She had closed her eyes as she began to hum, ignoring her surroundings.
As she came to a resounding end, she slowly began to open her eyes, content with her musical sounds.
"That was lovely." And she said it with her sighing voice.
Jiro's eyes went wide. She didn't know someone was listening. She instantly realized that they had been standing there, holding hands, enjoying her music.
"Eh?! Yaomomo? Izuku? What're you guys doing here?" In an embarrassed panic Jiro, scooted to the edge of the bench, hiding behind her guitar.
"Eh! Master, why didn't you stop me from startling her!" Momo grew her Neko ears as she adorably pouted at Izuku.
"Eh. Kyoka is actually embarrassed? Your earjacks are even tangled up." Izuku was taking notes in his pocket notebook, stopping every once in a while to give his girlfriend headpats to calm her down.
As the situation calmed down, Izuku helped Jiro untie her earjacks, before they all sat down on the bench, like they would during school lunch. Momo was in the middle with Izuku and Kyoka on either side of her.
"So what are you guys doing here?" Jiro asked, twirling one of her earphone jacks around her finger.
Izuku let out his typical hopeless sigh as he ruffled the back of his hair. "I was able to get away from the agency and Mom since Mirko and Aunty Shino wanted a day to catch up with her."
Momo nodded along as she clasped her hands together over her bosom. "Exactly, so both of our agencies gave us a day off, weren't you aware of the reason, Kyoka?" She asked because they were in the same agency and were both enjoying a day off.
With deadpan eyes, she replied, "I honestly didn't care enough to ask why."
"I can respect that." Izuku replied with the same lack of enthusiasm. Jiro was always able to bring out the nonchalant side of him. "But despite having a day off, Camie is making me work the night shift."
"Oh right, the blonde bimbo." Jiro recalled her and Izuku having a conversation about his agency the same day she became his maid.
"Oi, that's my partner you're talking about, but yes her."
Momo rolled her eyes at the both of them before continuing her point of discussion. "Well, yes that being said, we decided to spend the day together as we usually would."
"Yeah, that makes sense." Kyoka had a monotone voice with a faraway stare, as if losing her sarcastic attitude for something. Something between her and Momo.
"Yeah, I guess we had the same idea," Izuku cut in with his usual smile, "The park is always so peaceful during the morning."
"Oh, I know, how about you join us Kyoka." And Momo turned to her with that elegant tilt of the head and closed-eye smile.
"Huh? Join you?" Jiro raised her eyebrow because that smile always confused her.
"On our date!"
Knock, knock.
Kyoka Jiro tensed to the sound before taking a calming breath. She glanced at herself one more time in the mirror before heading towards the door. "Coming."
She greeted her best friend as she opened the door. "Hey, Yaomomo!" And then suddenly cringed at how excited her voice was.
"Hello Kyoka, sorry for the intrusion." Momo Yaoyorozu greeted her best friend as she was welcomed into her home. Momo was in casual wear, and since it was summer, instead of a sweater, she was wearing a thin, green turtleneck-shirt, along with jeans, and red sneakers, while having her hair up in her usual spiral ponytail. "I figured since Izuku's mother is back, he could spend the day with her while we could spend some time together before we have to go intern."
"Yeah, we can chill in my room, we don't gotta worry about shit 'cause my parents are on tour." Jiro led them to her room as they still had a few hours before work.
"Yes that would be lovely."
As they hung out in her room, Momo was lying on the bed while Jiro sat on her gaming chair. Jiro could feel tension radiating from her friend despite how she tried to hide it. "So, Izuku's mom is back, huh?"
Yaoyorozu stiffened a bit before relaxing. "Yes, she is. A-Actually, it was rather quite embarrassing seeing her again."
And then Momo began to attempt to tell her best friend about how her boyfriend's mom caught them being hormonal teenagers. Jiro was laughing her ass off as Momo struggled to tell the story as she stuttered while hiding her blushing face behind a pillow.
After she finished, Jiro wiped a tear of laughter away before casually saying, "At least we don't have to be that dork's maids anymore, huh?" But despite thinking it would make herself feel better, Jiro didn't know why but she actually felt a bit regretful. 'I mean, it never really felt like I was his maid, it was like something else?' But Jiro couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Yes... Master doesn't need us anymore..."
'Ah, fuck. Kyoka, you insensitive idiot.' Jiro mentally berated herself before trying to cheer Momo up. "Wh-What are you talking about, of course Izuku still needs us, he wouldn't have even gotten through his first year without us. And especially you, Yaomomo, you've been with him through everything. Hehehe..." Jiro felt weird as her earjack scratched her cheek awkwardly.
Momo was hugging the pillow she had been using earlier to hide her face, "Of course I know Izuku needs me. It's Master that doesn't need me anymore, and if he doesn't need me, then..."
"Oh, right he was your only client. And that fucks with your income, huh? Well I'm sure Izuku will find a reason to hire you."
"That's just it. I know Master's probably thinking of some excuse to hire me again. But I don't want him to do it because he feels like he has to save me. I don't need Deku's help. I just want Izuku to be there, that's it."
Jiro didn't really get her logic, weren't Deku, Master, and Izuku the same person, so why did she always talk about them differently? But she tried to be a supportive friend. "Well, maybe I'll hire you to clean my place up since my parents are away, hahaha."
She was obviously joking except it wasn't obvious to Momo.
"R-Really Kyoka? I promise I'll do a good job!"
"Eh?" Kyoka Jiro was caught off guard with a blush as she realized she just hired her best friend. 'What have I got myself into?!'
