My maid's bond!..

"Ah, I was thinking we can enjoy our snacks in the living room. You know watch something and chill." Izuku suggested as he began to pick up the dishes off the table. He wanted to start cleaning the dishes before she noticed that he was doing the work that she would have insisted on doing, instead of the tea.

"Oh, that sounds lovely, I've been meaning to watch this science documentary about-, actually nevermind, I wouldn't want to bore you." She grew a timid blush. She felt like such a geek for recommending something educational. But the truth was, to Momo, she enjoyed spending her free time, reading, or learning as much as she could. Although her ears perked when she heard the sink's faucet turn on. He was doing the dishes. 'He's doing them for me, even though I'm supposed to be doing them for him. That is not logical at all.' But the lack of logic is what made her muffle a giggle with her hand clasped over her mouth.

"Um, Yaoyorozu, I don't know if you noticed, but I'm kind of a geek. Watching a documentary sounds great. What's it about?"

"Chemistry..."

Izuku and Momo were sitting on the couch with the tea tray placed on the coffee table along with the snacks being assorted around. They were both making the lamest science puns but that's exactly why they laughed at them, they were both able to dork out in front of the other without a care. They even quizzed each other, trying to outdo the other, ultimately Momo won that contest due to her knowledge requirement from her quirk.

Izuku chuckled, rubbing the back of his having expected to lose, "I had no chance, huh?"

Momo took a victory sip from her tea, letting out an accomplished sigh before speaking, "Why would you ask something like that, Midoriya? You are knowledgeable in your own right. But no, you had no chance at all."

He let out another laugh, "Wow way to relieve the pain of defeat."

She unabashedly took another sip of her tea with her pinky finger up.  She giggled at pretending to be a sore winner, "Pardon, but it's actually rare for me to be able to have fun with everything I learned, I always have to exert it to my quirk or other important matters, so this is nice."

"Y-Yeah, I know what you mean, before I enrolled in U.A. I had done so much research on heroes, that I could never apply it until the hero course."

"Ah, isn't that what you are always jotting down in your notebook? It's similar to the book I keep attached to my hero suit. I wrote it myself and I still add to it if I think of anything interesting, or learn something of value." Yaoyorozu smiled to herself, thinking of how adorable Midoriya was whenever he scribbled in his notebook, becoming unaware of his own surroundings. 'It's similar to how I can lose track of everything when I'm overwhelmed.'

"I guess it is..." And Izuku couldn't help but to think it was another thing they had in common... 'Yaoyorozu and I... How could I never notice everything between us until now..?' But he knew why, it was because despite how much time they spent at the dorms, at school, or even heroing, it was never together, with just the two of them, 'Except when she was taking care of me, and I to her...'

Yaoyorozu and Midoriya were both thinking of how everything between them was seamless and natural. Almost as if their relationship was becoming a law of science.

And as they were pondering that, the chemistry documentary began to go in-depth about chemical bonds...

As the documentary was explaining information they were already aware of, their minds could only continue to wonder every time the word bond was mentioned, and they had kept having the same thought each time with their faces growing matching blushes, 'Why does a science documentary sound so romantic!?'

Perhaps they wanted to avoid what was happening on the screen, perhaps they wanted to talk about it... Or perhaps they wanted to talk about their own bond.

And they both spoke at the same time.

"Midoriya-,"

"Yaoyorozu-,"

They both turned their heads to each other, surprised at the other's voice. They both saw the other's blush, with the screen's light, reflecting off their faces.

Izuku cleared his throat before he spoke, "This is a pretty informative huh, even though we pretty much know this stuff already. About bonds..."

"Yes... We are aware... Aren't we?" And her voice was that beloved sigh, breathing out in almost whispers.

He had to gulp down his dry throat because of her alluring voice. "Yeah, like how we share similarities is similar to how they share electrons."

"Or how they can transfer them, like when I gave you lunch, and in turn, I slept."

They were staring into each other's eyes, wanting to understand their bond.

"Or how we made dinner together."

"And shared it,"

They were leaning closer together.

"We also love learning."

"I can let you read my book and maybe I can read your notebook..."

"We also have a tendency to overanalyze."

"You take care of everyone around you." She whispered, not realizing that's what he liked about her.

"But then you end up forgetting to take care of yourself." He replied with the same affectionate softness in his voice, forgetting that Momo was his maid because he doesn't take care of himself.

Their eyes were lost in the others as they stared, their faces were inching closer together, their breaths were meshing together with every sentence they spoke.

But then a loud explosion from the Tv pulled them out of the moment. The noise was coming from an experiment demonstrating chemical reactions.

And they both reacted by trying to ignore what was just about to happen between them, out of sheer shyness. They both saw the tea tray.

"Oh, looks like we're done with tea, I-I'll go put everything away." Momo was getting up just as Izuku was doing the same.

"N-No, let me."

"M-Midoriya, you already did the dishes. At least let me."

They both had lifted up the tea tray, trying to pull it away from the other.

"I insist."

"No, I insist."

The struggle ended when he lost his footing and began to stumble backwards. She was pulled along because of her grip, crashing into him as they tumbled onto the floor, with everything flying away from them.

Izuku's eyes widened. He was on the floor, staring at the fragile girl lying besides him. Her eyelashes fluttered open in a slow blink. He was lost in the kitten orbs staring back at him, as fixated as he was. Their bodies subconsciously scooted closer, forgetting their surroundings. She wanted to stay in the eye-locked trance, saying his voice in that whispering sigh.

"...Midoriya."

He didn't know why or how but his hand found hers, clasping his warm hand over her cold fingers.

He gasped at the feeling as he attempted to speak. "I, um..." But didn't finish. He couldn't say anything. Their faces were inches apart. He closed his eyes, ignoring any shyness or awkwardness from just a moment ago. He took a breath and opened his eyes.

"Yaoyorozu..."

Her eyes widened hearing his warm voice. She shivered, feeling his breath tickle her nose. She exhaled as her lips quivered, almost in anticipation. She didn't realize she was moving closer to him, but he didn't realize he was leaning in too. They could almost feel their bodies pressed against each other only stopping as the fabric of their clothes touched.

And their hands never let go of the other.

They were locked in a special bond that they didn't want to break away from. If anything, they wanted to be closer.

Unlike most of the other moments that they had shared recently, this wasn't about a master and his maid. It was a moment between two people realizing how connected they always were to each other. A moment between Izuku and Momo.

Their faces were barely an inch apart, and neither of them were stopping, merely slowing down. As it was happening, they closed their eyes. It wasn't sensual or lustful. It was a shared endearment.

And the moment just before their lips embraced, she sighed it out,

"Ne, I-zu-ku..."
