My maid in the rain!
It was raining...
"But it was so clear this morning?" Yaoyorozu took a moment away from her own anxiety to admire the weather and the streams of droplets sliding off her umbrella. She was at the Kiyashi ward shopping mall. And due to its design, the open middle area was exposed to the rain. She didn't mind standing out in the middle of the open as the people passed her by going on with their daily lives.
"But it was so clear this morning!" Midoriya was a fumbling mess like always as he rushed to the shopping mall. It had started raining during his patrol and he didn't pack an umbrella. "I bet Momo didn't even need to create an umbrella, she's always prepared." And it was one of the distinct differences he noticed between them. She was always prepared and had a plan, while he would just act without thinking, charging in at a moment's notice. It was a contrast they had, that he thought complimented each other well.
'When I reached the shopping mall, I walked around, looking for her. It didn't take long to find her. She was standing in the center as the gentle rain fell. I don't know why, but to me, it was as if the people walking past her were a faded blur, as the fragile raindrops twinkled around her, illuminating a lack of effort to shine on her porcelain skin as she enjoyed the weather around her...
And all I could wonder was, why did she look like she was too used to being alone..?'
Upon spotting her, Izuku made his way through the crowd of people reaching her in the center. He noticed that she was wearing one of her turtleneck sweaters, slim jeans, and a pair of red sneakers that would match with him. He was wearing a green rabbit hooded sweater, one of his worded shirts, black pants, and, of course, his iconic red shoes. "H-Hey, Momo, I hope you weren't waiting long."
"Oh, Izuku. Don't worry I just got-, I-Izuku?!" Momo was so focused on the weather, that she hadn't noticed him approach her, but then when she did look at him she saw how soaked his head and shoulders were. "You're completely drenched?!"
He had an apologetic smile as he ruffled the back of his hair, causing droplets to sprinkle off of him. "Y-Yeah, sorry. I came from the agency, and I forgot an umbrella." If he had checked the weather app on his phone, he would have taken an umbrella with him that morning but he was too preoccupied with asking Momo out that he forgot about everything else, which was also why he stumbled out of his own home, being late for work. "At least you stayed dry, Momo." Giving her his upbeat chuckle.
'Despite his disheveled appearance, he was laughing out of simple joy and I couldn't help but to let my lips lift on their own as I giggled along to his contagious laugh. It was strange, standing here in front of Izuku, he didn't feel like that grandiose hero that everyone could, and did, rely on. To me, he looked like a normal person who was just as excited to be on this date as I was...
And standing here, in front of him, it felt like I was home...'
And then the infatuated Momo realized that she hadn't offered Izuku her umbrella as he was still getting soaked. "O-Oh, pardon, Izuku!" She quickly extended her arm to give shelter to both of them.
"It's okay, I actually forgot it was raining." He added with a bit of embarrassment in his voice.
"M-Master, how could you forget it was raining, while standing in the rain?!" Even though they said it would be a date with just Izuku and Momo, the neko-maid side of her came out on instinct!
"Um, b-because of you..." He admitted as he scratched his cheek, looking to the side. It was true, being the lovestruck idiot that he was, Izuku forgot about his surroundings simply from being around Momo.
"Eeip! A-Are you blaming me?! E-Even though I forgot to offer my umbrella... B-Because of you as well." And she had a slight blush on her pale cheeks as she pouted her lips.
"So it evens out right?" He grew his sunshine smile, contradicting the raindrops dripping off his hair.
"Technically it does." She pondered it before realizing something else, "Wait that's not the problem here! Izuku, we need to find someplace to get dry before you end up sick."
Before he had a chance to protest, he sneezed. He tried to shake it off, mentioning their date. Ultimately, he had to give in, and they started to walk away from the mall, deciding to come back on a sunny day. "Ah, sorry Momo, I should have planned ahead like you."
"No, it's fine, really. It's not your fault, the weather's unpredictable. In fact, I had to make this umbrella. See I wasn't prepared either." Actually, she didn't make the umbrella and did come prepared but she didn't want Izuku to feel bad about something out of his control.
Izuku shook his head with a chuckle, he felt like she was lying but didn't argue it because she was only doing it as her form of empathy. "You are really considerate, Momo. I bet you were more excited than I was, huh?"
It was those rare moments where Izuku talked so surely about her without his timid stuttering voice that got her knees weak and turned her into a timid mess.
"Y-Yes, I was..."
"Yeah... Here, at least let me," Izuku's hand reached over to the one holding the umbrella. Their fingers touched, and lingered for a moment before he took the umbrella from her hand, holding it over the both of them.
"Thank you." After the umbrella was gently plucked from her hand, she had subconsciously scooted closer to him, their shoulders brushing against each other, and she either didn't mind or didn't notice the damp clothes next to her.
"Um, Momo, where are we going, my place is kinda far right?"
Momo was looking around for proper shelter as they walked through the city, eventually reaching the back alley area. "I doubt any store would want our business. For now, I just need to find someplace private where I can freely create things without worrying about ripping my clothes."
"P-Private? R-Ripped clothes?" Despite his cold cheeks, they heated up into a blush after hearing her nonchalantly talk. 'D-Does that mean she's going to take off her clothes when we're alone?! I am not ready for that!'
"Of course, Silly. If I use my quirk now and in the open, it will just be a waste of a sweater and I'll be exposed to the elements." Yaoyorozu was purely thinking about keeping Master warm and dry. She wasn't thinking about how intimate it could be. That was until her innocent thoughts were interrupted by the shelter they found.
They both stopped dead in their tracks, staring at the neon-lit signs, inviting them in.
"Eh?"
"Eh!"
"EH?!"
The two innocent nerds were standing in front of a tempting alley that was lined up full of love hotels!
