My Maid at the Agency!
Momo Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jiro were in her apartment after Momo had stumbled in, crying, asking if she could watch the fireworks festival with them. Momo had made tea for them despite it being Kyoka's home, insisting that it would help calm her.
After it was ready and they were sitting down, Momo had explained what happened with Eri and Camie... How, after the day they all spent at the park together, Eri had called her Mommy when tucking her into bed. She then told her about the heartbreaking feeling of hearing Eri call Camie her mom instead of Momo...
"That's why I would rather see the fireworks with you and everyone else. It would hurt too much to see them be like a family..." Camie's family, not hers. 'Where's mine..?'
Kyoka had a concerned expression holding her cup of tea. "O-Okay, I get it dude of course you can join us, but are you sure you're not just over reacting? About Camie I mean?"
"But that's exactly how she is," Thinking of how Camie was always deceitfully ditzy, "But that's also what perplexes me the most, her behavior. One moment she acts like how we were, then the next... She becomes so estranged and it feels too intentional." Yaoyorozu was sitting on the couch, next to Kyoka. She took a thoughtful sip of nostalgia as her eyes began to well up again. Her emotions were a mess because of someone she used to be so close to.
"That bimbo knows how to act distant?" Kyoka joked trying to lighten the mood. It didn't seem to have an effect on the atmosphere or Momo. She mentally winced before taking a sip and placing her cup on the table before putting some serious thought into her words. "But I mean I get it, Why Camie would be acting distant, I mean."
That caused Momo's ear to pick as she turned to Kyoka's side of the couch. "Pardon? What do you mean?"
Kyoka was twirling a finger around one of her earjacks, she didn't know Camie well but could guess how she was feeling. "Look I really don't know anything about what's going on with Eri or her, but I mean, weren't you the one being distant."
"Me? But I..." Momo was about to reply saying she doesn't know why they stopped being friends until she realized how it was her fault. All she ever had time for was school, heroing, and her maid job. "I never meant to ignore everyone..."
Even Izuku and her had become distant because of it, during their second year.
"I know you didn't, Yaomomo but that's also why I joined the maid job with you. I didn't want to lose you, dude." Yes, Kyoka did join the maid agency to support Momo but she also knew it was out of her own selfish insecurities.
"I didn't want to lose any of you either... but I guess I did without realizing it." When Momo had been too focused on herself after losing her family she couldn't see who else she was losing...
"Yeah..."
"...Yes."
Momo Yaoyorozu was thinking about the conversation she had with Kyoka as she stood in front of the agency building that had hired her, in her maid outfit. "I can do this! I may not have Master as a client anymore but his agency hired me, so he's technically still my master!"
'That's right, I'm Izuku's cheerful maid right now! Yes, cheerful...'
She had stepped into the agency with her usual neko maid formality. "I'm ready to serve Master!" She had a closed eye smile after introducing herself but eventually grew a sweatdrop when no one replied. And as she opened her eyes to the sight in front of her, and she could only say, "Eh?!"
The agency was in chaos!
Eri was running around trying to not catch fire. Deku was chasing after her, telling her everything was okay, despite the flames around the agency . Mirko was hopping around trying to tag Deku but he would always somehow dodge. And Camie Utsushimi, she was laughing her ass off, holding her sides, with her fingers crossed.
"Pardon? H-How can I help?" Momo asked out loud, shocked at the situation in front of her. But she went unanswered, everyone else was too invested in it to realize she was there.
"Ara? Anyone?" Still nothing as the sight continued to unfold.
"Ne, Izuku?" Saying it loud enough for him to hear. No response.
And that's what angered her.
A tick mark appeared over her forehead as she formed a scowl with closed eyes. She invoked her motherly wrath and yelled.
"ENOUGH!"
And it put a stop to everything, even the flames were extinguished. Mirko, who was about to hop off a wall, stopped herself and fell. Izuku was shocked by the familiar mommy voice and tripped face first with Mirko landing on his back. Eri and her mom had the same reaction, they stopped their goofing and turned to the sound; Her horn twitched and Camie's bubble gum bubble burst.
Everyone in the agency turned to Mom, er, the maid.
Momo Yaoyorozu had a small blush, embarrassed for having to use that voice. 'How did the flames vanish too?!' She cleared her throat as she returned to normal. Her loose strand of hair fluttered a long as she tilted her head. "Now, what seems to be the problem?"
Izuku and Mirko sheepishly picked themselves up, he ruffled the back of his hair with one hand as he wrapped the other arm around Eri's waist, casually picking her up as he walked to Momo. Eri was also casually dangling in his arm with deadpan eyes and pouting lips, Camie was following behind them with the same dead pan expression and pouty lips. 'E-Even big sis Rumi has the same face!'
They all lined up in front of Momo like kids caught in trouble as Izuku explained, still having Eri by his side as she ate a caramel apple that she somehow got. "Er, Sweetie the thing was, nothing bad was really happening, it's just Eri wanted to play tag after learning it from Kota. It's just Mirko and Camie got a little bit too into it?" He let out, defeated.
"Eh? And the fire?"Momo could understand big sis Rumi hopping around, trying to get Izuku but not the flames.
"Chat, am I wrong? The floor is lava is a way better game!" Camie huffed, squeezing her thighs together in a whine with her fingers still crossed.
Deku sighed at Camie...
He knew she was trying to use her illusions to convince Eri that, that game was more fun. "And she created the fires saying it added to the atmosphere." He added air quotes at that part before continuing, "Despite her stopping mid game."
"Bruh, I called no tag backs!" Camie showed those crossed fingers shes had since tagging Mirko, finally uncrossing them.
Izuku was about to start one of his usual arguments with Camie until he heard a giggle.
They all turned to her. Momo Yaoyorozu was hiding her mouth with her hand, trying to suppress her blushing giggle. She spoke, still hiding her lips and trying to stammer her laughter. "P-Pardon. S-Sorry, really. I just earnestly thought something was wrong." She finished her giggle, raising her shoulders letting out a beloved sigh as she lowered them. And, her smile was everlasting.
"You guys were just playing."
Mirko had narrow eyes but instead of her headstrong stare, she had a bashful glance, not expecting to be put in her place by an innocent maid. 'Although we did hire her to take care of this place... and us.' Mirko shook her head chuckling at Momo, able to understand why Deku recommended her. She shrugged off Momo's apology. "Nah, you did good, we were getting carried away."
Camie popped her bubble gum.
Izuku was letting Eri down, who had her fingers crossed, after. He chuckled a long with Mirko as he straightened out to face Momo, also taking a step in front of her. "N-No, it's fine, like she said we probably went a little bit too far, but um, that was nice your voice I mean, I reminded me of the dorms." He was referring to that motherly voice she would always use when class A-1 was misbehaving.
As he thought about that, he timidly glanced to the side as he scratched his cheek, like always.
She listened to his words with her blush growing. Like always, she could only fix her loose strand of hair as she replied.
"O-Oh really? Pardon again. But I guess it was just like at the dorms. You know, this doesn't really feel like an agency, does it?"
"N-No I guess it doesn't." And as they were making mushy eye contact, Eri, Camie, and MIrko gave the gushing couple space, having that same pouty deadpan expression from before, backing up from the two slowly.
"Um, what does it feel like?" Deku asked.
"...A home..." Momo Yaoyorozu answered...
"Yeah..."
"...Yes"
And all he could do was take one final step before pressing his lips to hers. After sharing the moment with her he broke their lips and stepped away from her.
She slowly opened her eyes after the kiss, and could only ask. "Wh-What was that for?"
"Because now you're it!"
"Th-That's not fair Master!"
Chasing after them just as he did that day at the park...
