My maid and Deku?!
Deku and Momo were sitting side by side on a bench on the roof of the agency.
But unlike at school, there wasn't a vast scenery for them to enjoy, instead they were surrounded by buildings and busy noises. And Momo couldn't help but to notice it, especially because, unlike at school or at home, he was in his hero suit, he was Deku.
"Ah, I'm glad y-you visited Momo, I had been wanting to invite you over but the timing kept feeling off with everything going on lately." And Deku did what he usually did, he scratched his cheek with his finger as he glanced to the side.
But for some reason, Momo was distracted by the fact that he was doing it with his hero suit's glove. Her eyes winced before she shook her head trying to dispel the strange feeling. "Oh don't worry about that, you've always made time for me, even before we started dating, so today I wanted to do the same for you."
Izuku raised his eyebrow, a bit confused. "Really? Cause to me, it always feels like you're the one that's always been there for me, even before you became my maid." And he couldn't help but to remember that night after he came back to U.A.
She then also raised her eyebrow, as confused as he was, until their eyes met and it wasn't Deku she was looking at. She then grew a realization and began to giggle at how silly she felt. "I guess we've just always found a way to make time for each other, ne?"
He was wide-eyed at her sincere giggle and words. He grew a small smile, agreeing with her. "I guess we have, huh?"
"Yes..."
"...Yeah."
Their eyes remained locked in a timeless affair. And for a moment, the city noise was drowned out, as they could only hear the scattering rustle of cherry blossom petals as the light from her creation quirk faded away.
And to Momo, time only seemed to start back up after he had suddenly captured her lips with his. She was caught off guard with wide eyes before they softened as a blush grew over her cheekbones, eventually closing her eyes as she leaned into the kiss.
Reluctantly they both began to pull away.
"Wh-What was that f-for... Darling?" She asked with a breathy voice.
"Because I... Because I...." He held back a breath not able to finish his sentence, instead giving her a weak smile, "Because I'm really glad you're here, Momo." But he inwardly winced as he mentally berated himself. 'Damint Izuku Midoriya, just tell her you love her! It's three simple words! It shouldn't be this hard?! I should have just said it the day Eri visited!' But in truth ever since the love hotel incident he had realized for how long he had been in love with her but he still couldn't say it to her.
Momo felt like he had more to say but just couldn't figure out what, instead she focused on what he did say. She gave him that everlasting smile as she tilted her head with her loose strand of hair fluttering along. "It's just like that day when I called you..."
"Huh?" He was a bit confused until he remembered the day she called her after everything was back to normal. Although he still doesn't know that, that was the call that convinced her to stay for him...
"Don't worry, I'll always be here, Izuku..."
His eyes grew an enamored emerald as he recalled the memory. "You did say that, didn't you?" And after she nodded with a giggle he could only say,
"I really am hopeless huh?"
And she replied with earnest endearment. "Yes!"
After, they simply enjoyed lunch together as they would on the school roof, as boyfriend and girlfriend.
"Ah, thanks Sweetie, that was delicious like always." He complimented with a big grin, but he had a piece of rice sticking to his cheek by his lip.
"Thank you, Darling, but you missed a spot." Saying that just before she pressed her lips to that spot, pulling away with a small smooch. He grew a small blush but it left just as quickly as she finished.
"A-Anyways, I should get going if I'm going to catch up on patrolling with them. Sh-She should be fine, right?"
'And he did what he always does, he scratched his cheek as he glanced to the side, but when he did it, he did it with his hero glove...' Momo didn't know why but it suddenly felt like it did earlier. It was Deku again. She cleared her throat and recomposed herself as she stood and started cleaning up. "Ahem, yes, lunch was lovely, but I shouldn't keep you any longer."
"Okay, thanks again!" And Deku stood up about to give her a kiss goodbye but she pulled away from it.
He was confused until she lifted her index finger, pressing it to his lips in a shushing matter as she simply said, "I insist."
"Alright, I'll be going. Bye Sweetie!" He activated full cowling and was about to take off.
"Be safe, Darling. I lov-," Her eyes snapped wide as she shut her mouth with a huge blush flushed across her face, hoping he didn't hear that last part. Thankfully for her, he had taken off after the first part with her words being drowned out by his wind force.
She collapsed back on the bench with a sigh of relief before she began to throw one of her adorable tantrums. "Where did that come from? I mean, of course, I l-love I-Izuku b-but I can't just blurt something like that out of nowhere! It has to be special! I want it to be special! Why didn't I just say it at the love hotel!?"
Momo Yaoyorozu was in the same mental crisis of saying 'I love you' as Izuku Midoriya!
Although, that wasn't what had been bothering Momo since coming to the agency. Momo put her fingers on her lips as she thought about Camie Utsushimi. "She's been interning with him since they met at the licensing exams. She was even the one with Deku when they saved Eri... They've been inseparable ever since." And that was what unnerved her. If Momo had always been there with Izuku, then Camie was the one that had always been there with Deku.
"When I offered my hand, why did she act like we've never met? As if she was looking through me..." Like a looking glass...
Because they had met before, a few times actually, on good terms. But then Momo began to recall the conversations they would share, as a slow guilt began to claw at her throat causing it to tighten.
Because the conversations they had were always genuine and Camie's eyes would always light up whenever they talked about him.
"Did I... Did I steal Izuku from her?"
