Gemini, having nothing better to do, took his guitar, sat down with it on a comfortable blue sofa (how different his apartment at the Institute was from his room at home!) and began to play from memory a song that had been circulating in his head for several days  and which he has already learned.  It was "All About That Day" and it fit perfectly with what he was feeling.

NuNew was standing by the half-open door and heard a song sung by Gemini, and each subsequent sentence made him realize more and more how important the boy Gemini was looking for was to his friend.  The sentence that struck him most was: "Tryna get up on, but this is killing me inside."  He felt sorry for the young man who had fallen so madly in love, the boy who had devoted himself to study and exploration at the same time, who sometimes gave up meals or sleep in order to achieve his goal.  So far no success.  New wished he could see the portrait Gem had drawn, perhaps if they asked Zee for help, they'd find him easier together.

Easier.  Right.  Thailand had a population of about 70 million, how to find one man in such a crowd?!

New knew it was an almost impossible task, but someone might know the man Gemini was looking for.  Wanting to offer Gemini his help, he approached the door and raised his hand up to knock, when suddenly the door opened to its full width, and somewhere to the right in the direction where the lecture halls were located, a loud explosion could be heard, which  caused New to jump involuntarily and stumble over the threshold, falling straight into the arms of the equally surprised Norawit.  For a long time they were both paralyzed, they looked at each other, and Gemi supported New so that he wouldn't fall.

New immediately forgot that he was supposed to ask Gem to give him the portrait, two other things became more important: the strange feeling that he had when Gem grabbed him, and that terrifying outburst.

Finally, New was the first to recover from the shock, get out of Gemini's embrace and straighten up, standing in front of him almost at attention, only to start nervously straightening his slightly crumpled lilac shirt with a wide black belt running across it from his left shoulder to his right leg.  It was paired with dark denim pants that were not too tight, but showing his tall and shapely legs, and he was wearing white Nike shoes, on which he must have painted a rainbow with felt-tip pens.  Holding New in his arms felt strange, he had the feeling that the same thing would happen in the future, but something told him that New would not be the one he would save from the fall.  It was weird, but there was nothing romantic about it, it wasn't the typical sweet moment often shown on TV, although they both knew it might look like that from the outside.

“S-sorry” — Gem stammered, blushing furiously.

“It's all right” — he replied in a somewhat incongruous tone of concern.

“What was that?” —  Gem quickly changed the subject, thus avoiding questions he probably couldn't answer.

“I don't know, let's go check it out” — New said and started walking.  Gemini closed the door behind him and quickly caught up with him.  They had not walked very far when they saw the lecture hall, or rather what was left of it.  A fire raged inside, and Pond, Cooper, and Fluke tried to put it out by pouring bottled water on the burning wooden tables.  It didn't do much.  Cooper ran out and nearly collided with Phuwin, who was also walking fast towards them.  Phu was already carrying a bucket full of water.

“Hurry up before it all burns down!” —  Cooper shouted at Phuwin, who immediately ran into the auditorium and poured the contents of the tin bucket on the nearest table.  The fire disappeared, and Pond wiped the sweat from his forehead with his forearm with a loud "Whew!"

“What happened here? Tell me now, what have you done again?” —  New demanded an answer.  Phuwin and Pond knew that New was closest to the boss, and they were afraid that if they told him, he would report everything to Zee, and that could mean big trouble for them.  New seemed to read their minds because he replied.  — “Don't worry, I won't report P'Zee unless it was something dangerous.  You're lucky he didn't hear the explosion”.

“No, no, it wasn't dangerous!” —  They protested, shouting over each other and trying to explain one by one, which caused even more confusion and lessened the chances of New and Gemini understanding it.

“Calm down!” — New yelled at them.  — “Not all at once, because I don't understand you! One by one and from the beginning: what happened and why?”

“Maybe it's me” — Phuwin stepped forward.  “Mr. Puttha gave us the task of creating a potion that would relieve any kind of pain, whether it was physical pain, mental pain, or spiritual pain.  It wasn't hard, but these two morons” — Here he pointed at Cooper and Pond (Pond made a movement as if to deny it, but when he looked at his boyfriend he fell silent and just listened) — „instead of dandelion root and phoenix tears they added the tears of a hundred-year-old monk  and explosive gladiola root.  And everything... exploded!  That's it”.

“Well, beautiful.  If Mr. Puttha had known you couldn't make a simple recipe, maybe he would have started differently with you.  Anyway, I have to at least inform the professor, he needs to know that you're behind.  And don't be offended” —  he added, seeing Cooper's gloomy face.  — “Just be glad it ended this way.  You could have destroyed the entire Institute that way”.

As New turned to leave and return to his studio, where he often practiced before performing in front of the Non-Magical, Cooper leaned forward a little and gave him the middle finger.  Gem hesitated.  Follow New or stay with Phuwin and ask him for the exact recipe for making this brew, which he also had some problems with.  Finally, when Nu had wandered off a bit, he decided to follow him.  He caught up with him and then asked.

“You were standing at my door before the explosion, did something happen?”

“Ummm, sort of.  How about asking for help finding your boy Zee?”

“Do you think he'll agree?” — Gem asked uncertainly, not even wanting to get his hopes up.

“I have no idea, but it can't hurt to try, right?”

Gem nodded his head.  New smiled softly at him and nudged his side with his elbow.

“Cheer up, if you really love him that much, I'm sure you'll find him soon”.

Gem wanted to believe it very much, but it was getting harder and harder with each passing day.  The image of that boy was slowly fading in his memory, at times he wasn't even sure if it really happened or if it was just one of his many very realistic dreams.  New took him to Zee's office, where they shared the story of Gemini and the stranger.  Zee, contrary to what New expected and to Gemini's despair, only got annoyed with their idea.

“Have you both gone mad?” —  He shouted, getting up from behind the night-black desk and walking close to New, grabbed his tie and pulled him to him, shooting him an angry look.  “I thought you were smarter, Chawarin, and you want to turn a serious Institute fighting demons into a marriage bureau? Serious people work here, we don't have the time or the ability to run after every kid in love, you understand?  We are here to keep order in the universe!  Get a grip and get back to work.  You have a show in a few days, should you start getting ready?”

“Yes, Mr. Zee” — New replied humbly, bowed, and fled the room, not wanting to get on Zee's nerves any further.  He didn't know what had pissed off their boss so much, but he was pretty sure he wasn't usually like this.  Even when he was cold, sharp, and mean, he usually didn't refuse to help others, especially when it was him, New, who asked for it.  Something must have changed.

Gemini stayed in the room, cowering in his seat as if he was trying to get out of his boss's field of view, but the boss saw him clearly.  Gemini had a feeling that P'Zee was about to hit him, so he raised his hands above his head in a protective gesture as he approached.  Then Zee did something unexpected.

He leaned over and hugged Gemini, who had gone numb under the influence of such an unexpected touch.

“I'm sorry, nong Gemini.  We'd be happy to help you, but I didn't want New to distract himself from his activities, he has a lot on his plate, don't add more problems to him, let others take care of it.  NuNew has to make a music video for their song that the Non-Magicals are demanding, if he does something else and quits his job, he'll get their attention, which I'd rather avoid.  Sorry again.  It's important to me that New doesn't lack anything and that he doesn't have to face criticism from dissatisfied fans”.

Zee couldn't say directly that he understood the young man and sympathized with him.  He couldn't admit that he had loved someone for a long time, but that someone was unavailable to him, and that Gemini's story seemed as hopeless to him as his own, so he warmed to the idea.

He moved away from the clearly confused Gemini, who once again thought about Zee being surprisingly overprotective of one of his charges.

„P'Zee must be into NuNew“ — Gemini thought amused.

“P'Zee, don't worry, I promise I won't mention to New that you like him” — He said cheekily and stood up.  He enjoyed watching the horrified expression on his boss's face, realizing that this kid knew his secret.

“You little...!” —  Zee ran out of words, so he just shook his finger at the boy.  Gemini, already clearly calmed down, walked slowly to the door and left the room with great relief.  When he returned to his room, he found NuNew there.
