"I think we should talk to her." Amanda said out of the blue, with a stern voice while they were eating lunch in school, making Luna choke slightly.. because of the sudden tone.

"W-we can do that." Luna replied as she coughed and continued eating,her gaze on her food

"I'm serious." Amanda slammed her hand on the table and stood up... fortunately people were busy eating and minding their own business (es) and did not butt-in into their matter.

"I know you are...sit down." Luna ordered and Amanda followed

"So we're going to her place today?"

"I guess..."

"But what if she doesn't want to sort out?"

"We'll think about that when we have to... Let's just approach her first."

"Deal." With that,they shook hands and grinned from ear to ear. And then they continued munching

"I'm never going there again. That woman is a witch." Amanda rolled her eyes and continued writing

"Neither am I...No No!" Luna waved both of her hands, signalling a 'NO'

Flashback

Luna and Amanda walked Happily towards Nicky's used-to-be home. They were nervous,of course. But they were content that things might sort out.

They reached the place and rang the bell.

"Who is it?" A grumpy Voice answered from inside. The door was still closed

"Ugh, can't even bother to--- Oh Hello there girls." Mrs.Anderson spoke as she opened the door

"Ready to ruin another day of mine..." She mumbled as she rolled her eyes,which Luna and Amanda didn't notice

"Sorry? Didn't get you there. Come again?" Amanda asked and Anderson shrugged

"Come in." The lady welcomed the younger ones

"Sit down..This isn't your first time here.." She reminded them

"But the first time was a bit of a problem.. Don't want to take any chances again." Luna whispered to Amanda

"Uhmm, Could you call Nicky downstairs maybe?" Luna finally asked after a few minutes of awkward silence.

The atmosphere was pretty..... Uncomfortable.

"Nicky?" Mrs. Anderson said followed by her laughter..fake laughter

"You expect Nicky to be here? Didn't she tell you about what happened?"

"About what happened? We don't understand..What do you mean?" Amanda asked

"She ran away. She was tired of the mistreatment I gave her..." Anderson started to explain what happened and her expression started to soften.

"I'm sorry about that..I didn't mean to---"

"SHE RAN BECAUSE OF YOU! I DON'T HAVE NICKY HERE WITH ME... BECAUSE OF YOU!" The lady screamed at them suddenly, making Luna and Amanda flinch

"IF YOU WEREN'T SUCH GOOD FRIENDS WITH HER. IF YOU WEREN'T HER FIRST PRIORITY....SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN HERE! RIGHT NOW!" The lady had gone nuts! She ran to the kitchen and came out with a plate in her hands.

She threw the plate on the floor and it,as expected shattered into pieces.

"It's not our fault! It was you who mistreated her! And it's a pity to see that even after all this, you haven't changed one bit!" Amanda blurted out while backing herself and Luna off,away from the sharp,broken pieces of the plate.

"You're Wrong! Get out! NOW!"

Luna took this chance . She grabbed Amanda's hand and scurried out immediately.

"This was not supposed to happen! I thought that after this, she'll become a better person! Nicky really went through a lot with her." Luna said as they walked back home

"Maybe we'll just write a letter and leave it on Nicky's desk in school." Amanda suggested

"That's a good idea. I don't think I can approach her again for a while after this. Maybe I can since she isn't as cold-hearted as her mother."
