"STOP RIGHT NOW," a voice resounded not far from where Yuri was.
The person who had spoken had a cute appearance, fair skin, and was somewhat short.
"Boss Woozi?" the diva-like individual inquired.
"Don't kill her," the man named Woozi declared.
"Why? Wasn't this your order?" asked the one with an angelic demeanor.
He let out a sigh before responding to the question.
"Just let her go, and I'll explain the rest."
Yuri's mind was a whirlwind of confusion and pain. They seemed to pay no heed to Woozi's words and continued to subject Yuri to more suffering.
"Just shoot her!" urged the gentle-seeming man.
"Wait, no—"
Their heads bobbed in agreement, and then...
Bang.
The sound of a gunshot filled the air. Yuri had been shot, the bullet narrowly missing her heart by a hair's breadth.
"NOOOOOO! Why did you do that, idiots!"
Woozi seized one of them by the collar, his eyes filled with tears and rage.
"Didn't you hear me? I told you not to do it!"
His face was contorted with anger and loathing.
He held onto the guy's collar so tightly that the person began to choke.
"W-Woozi, I-I can't b-breathe."
After a few seconds that felt like an eternity, Woozi released his grip, turning his attention to Yuri's direction.
With gentle hands, he cradled her face, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"I should have told you sooner... my little girl."
Suddenly, a group of individuals stormed into the room, armed and determined. Woozi looked up, his face a mixture of relief and gratitude.
"Boss Woozi, are you alright?" one of them asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," Woozi replied, his voice thick with emotion.
The newcomers quickly took control of the situation, apprehending the culprits and tending to Yuri's injuries. She was carried out of the room on a stretcher, her vision blurry but her heart full of hope.
In the days that followed, Yuri slowly recovered under the care of Woozi and his team.
