✶ Chapter 7 . .
Yuri pov
As I was about to speak, someone began shaking my arm.
"Yuri? Yuri, wake up!" I heard Sana's voice.
"O-oh okay," I mumbled, blinking against the brightness.
Heading downstairs to the dining room, I found an empty table with only my food waiting for me.
Approaching, Sana informed me, "The boys are on a mission. They'll be quite occupied this week due to their schedule."
"Oh... I understand. I suppose I'll continue training and practicing while they're away?" I replied.
Sana nodded, then headed outside to tend to the garden.
Seated in a chair, I found myself lost in thoughts, replaying the vivid dream I'd had the previous night. It felt uncannily real. But, of course, it's just a dream, Yuri. Don't overthink it!
Skipping ahead in time...
After a lengthy call with Nayeon and my concerned Dad, I assured them that I'd return after a while and asked them to wait for me.
A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.
Opening the door, I was met with a man who shot me harshly in the left side of my stomach.
"Ouch," I groaned, clutching my side in pain.
He aimed the gun at my head, ready to shoot again.
Panicking, I shut my eyes and began counting down to the inevitable impact.
Three... Two... One...
But nothing happened.
Cautiously opening my eyes, I saw Sana holding a gun, and the man was mostly bleeding from his head.
"Girls! Conceal the body and clean up this mess!" she ordered in a cold tone.
I stared at her, my expression filled with shock.
"Yuri! Yuri, are you okay?"
....
"Yuri?"
"Yuri!"
Snapping back to reality, I finally responded, "A-ah, y-yes. I'm okay—just got hit," I said, indicating the wound on my side.
"Don't worry, I'll fetch the first aid kits," she offered.
I shook my head.
"No need, Sana. I can handle it myself," I replied with a reassuring smile.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."

Yuri pov
After I took a break, I went back to training. I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened: a random guy entering my room, getting shot, almost dying, and Sana saving me. Despite the memories, I focused and continued.
Later, I returned to the mansion and saw Sana. I asked if "they" were here yet, to which she replied they would arrive next week after staying somewhere else.
I was surprised, wondering if they had another mansion. I said okay and left, but before I did, I asked Sana if she knew how to fight. She seemed unsure, but I admitted I could fight. Her gun skills had already shown she wasn't a beginner.
Then, she began to share her story. She recalled her parents' fight, the accusations, and her father grabbing a knife. In the heat of the moment, she stabbed him multiple times. Someone had witnessed this, and she later killed her mother too. A guy saw it and offered her a way out: join the mafia. She refused at first, but fearing jail, she agreed.
She introduced herself as Jun and welcomed her to the team, marking the start of her new life. I joked that her story sounded like a love story, but she corrected me. We both laughed, and I asked why she worked as a maid despite joining the mafia. She explained she was undercover, managing the house when they were away.
Just then, three knocks sounded at the door, catching our attention.
