Chapter 1 - part 3||What Could Go Wrong?

"I can't believe you." Victoria mumbled once again.

We were both walking home from school, and she was still lecturing me about my lie I had told at lunch today.

After my outburst, Kimberly had demanded to see photos of us together so I had shown her. I had plenty of photos of me and Luca together ... We just weren't together together.

Once I had shown her a picture where he was kissing me on the cheek, that had officially shut her up. Unfortunately it didn't do the same to everyone else.

In psychology and math, all the girls had been asking to see photos of him. They all gushed at his dimples and deep brown eyes. They asked all sorts of questions, questions that I strangely knew all the answers to.

Like, favourite fruit? Kiwi. Favourite sport? Football. Birthday? November the 11th. They even asked what his favourite movie was, I had to make that one up because i had made a promise to him to never tell anyone his favourite movie was beauty and the beast.

Oh yes, you heard correctly. Fortunately, he wasn't that bad of a singer, so no casualties are caused by the high notes.

"I still can't believe you" Victoria's voice mumbled from behind me as I balanced to walk across the broken bricks on the side walk.

"Chill out Tori" yanking at my arm, I had fell from the pile of bricks but was supported by her hold.

Grabbing at my shoulders, she shook me like she was trying to shake some sense into me.

Pfft like that was ever going to happen.

"You just told everyone that your best friend is indeed your boyfriend, if Kimberly finds out that you lied-"

Grabbing at her shoulders, I smiled at her and shook my head with a subtle laugh.

"She's not going to find out, V. Soon Luca is going to be in Australia and if anyone asks, I'll just tell them we're doing the long distance thing. Plus he never adds people on Facebook he doesn't know, so he's not gonna find out." Letting go of her shoulder, she dropped her arms and walked with me to my front yard.

Swinging open the gate, I dug around in my bag for my keys as Victoria continued to way out the pros and cons of the tiny lie.

Stocking the key in the door, I stopped to look back at Victoria with a grin.

"It's a full proof plan, what could go wrong?" I laugh.

As my front door suddenly swung open, my keys had dropped from my hands, and Victoria had dropped her bag along with them.

We both stared on at the person in front of us emotionless, only blinking every 3 seconds.

"Surprise!" Being engulfed in a tight hug, my breath was caught in my throat. And I don't know if it was because of the tight embrace, or because my heart felt like it was going to fall through my ass at any time now.

"L-Luca?!"
