Their second encounter was totally unexpected.

Two weeks passed but Jaehyun failed to catch a glimpse of the good-looking guy anywhere in the university. Two weeks passed since their first encounter at the university park, that he started to doubt himself if he'd ever meet the guy again.

Maybe, he just overestimated himself. Maybe, he miscalculated the chance to meet the guy because after all, the university is really huge. As much as he hated to admit it but, maybe it's just time to accept that it's not possible to see that cute guy anymore.

Jaehyun was just casually walking, bored, from his first morning class. Usually, he kills time at the library before his last morning class but today, his cousin, Sungho, has told him to come by his dorm first because he needs help with something. If Jaehyun heard it right, it's something about the latter's architectural model. And since he's vacant for almost an hour, he agreed to help him out. He arrived at Sungho's dorm around 10:10 AM, ringing the doorbell right away. He heard low rustling noises behind the door before it opened and revealed a tired and gloomy Sungho. He didn't even have time to greet the older before he suddenly got pulled inside.

"You didn't have to pull me that hard, you know."

"Well, this dumbass forgot to set alarm at 4 AM. I haven't finished my model yet and now I'm gonna be so late in-..."

"Okay, okay. Relax. Breathe, dude."

Jaehyun chuckles at the way Sungho looks stressed out right now, he even forgot to comb his hair properly. They're all over the place.

"Gosh. You could've asked Riwoo for help instead. He's your roommate."

"Don't mention that name to me, I'm pissed. That brat didn't even come home last night but had the audacity to ask me to submit his model in his stead. Ugh."

Jaehyun chuckles once more and looks at the almost finished model on the table. Sungho went back to finishing it and that's when Jaehyun notices a small change in the room.

"Since when did you have the hobby of keeping an aquarium, Sungho?"

Jaehyun wonders. As far as he can remember, Sungho isn't a pet owner type of person. It's not that his cousin hates animals, he likes it when he sees one, especially dogs, but Sungho knew himself way too well that he's not an ideal pet owner. Let alone keeping an aquarium since it requires high maintenance and attention. And if there's another thing Jaehyun knows too well about his cousin, it's the fact that Sungho has also never shown interest in marine animals before.

"Oh, that? It's not mine. It's my roommate's."

Sungho answers without looking at him, his eyes fixed on gluing parts of the architectural model to the board. Jaehyun suddenly feels bad for Sungho, who looks like a zombie with evident dark eyebags right now, so he decided to approach the latter and offer help.

"It's Riwoo's? Wait, let me help you with that."

Jaehyun sits in front and offers help before Sungho hands him a few roof miniatures and some mid-sized parts like windows.

"Here. Just attach them on that side and these on the other side. I'm almost finished with the micro parts."

"Alright but I didn't know Riwoo likes fish? They're cute though. They somehow make this room look alive."

"Oh, right, that. It's not Riwoo's but it's actually the new roommate's."

Jaehyun just nodded in understanding and did what he had to do. He carefully attached the two roofs because he knows how meticulous Sungho can be when it comes to things related to his studies.

But hey, why didn't he know Sungho and Riwoo have a new roommate? Since when? Because ever since the three of them (Jaehyun, Sungho and Riwoo) were college freshmen, the last room had always been vacant. And now they're in their 3rd year in college, it's safe to say, he's used to coming here with only Sungho and Riwoo as the boarders. Yes, Jaehyun refused to share dorm with them because he likes and prefers to be independent so he chose to get a solo room just for himself.

"I know what you're gonna ask next, Jaehyun. Yes, the guy has looks but I think he's younger. I'm not really sure though but he's acquainted with Riwoo. Just ask that guy instead."

Jaehyun felt offended so he slaps Sungho's wide shoulder which made the latter finally laugh after being so stressed out all morning.

"I don't mean it that way, dude. I just wondered for a bit since it's always been just you two here the entire time. What do you think of me, huh?"

"Yeah yeah...If you say so...but I'm serious though. He's cute but he's just not my type. Actually, he just left 5 minutes before you arrived."

Jaehyun chose to not respond anymore and just rolled his eyes at Sungho whose eyes are still glued on the model. He didn't talk until the architectural model is done. It took them 15 minutes to wrap it up before Sungho starts to pack his things so he can finally go to class and submit his and Riwoo's models.

"Jaehyun-ah, can you help me one last time? I just need an extra hand with Riwoo's model so I don't have to go back and forth. I swear to God, I'm gonna smack him later."

"He better treat me lunch later or I'm dropping this on the way."

Jaehyun walks towards the door first as soon as Sungho's done packing his things. But since he's holding Riwoo's model, he struggled for a bit to open the door. As if someone saw and heard his struggle, the door slowly opens. Jaehyun's ready to curse at Riwoo for making someone else bring his model but he got frozen on his spot instead.

Because the door revealed the most unexpected person he could ever think to see at that moment.

"Oh, Leehan-ssi. You forgot something?"

Jaehyun looks at Sungho first and then at the new roommate, he assumes. It can't be.

"Not really, hyung. I just remembered I forgot to feed them earlier so I rushed back after buying some things."

Jaehyun can't believe what he's witnessing right now. The guy he's been looking for the past two weeks all around the campus is just here? He literally searched everywhere but when he finally lost hope, he would just discover him as the new roommate of his cousin like this? Talk about a twisted luck.

"Alright, then. We'll leave first."

Jaehyun remained still even when the guy walked past him. He can't be mistaken. This is definitely that cute guy from the park. He has the same semi-long healthy hair. His eyes must not be playing with him right now, right?

If only Jaehyun knew from the very start that the guy's gonna be Sungho's future roommate, they could've been (atleast) not strangers anymore by now. Maybe he shouldn't have overlooked the unit number the guy showed him that day when he asked for directions.

We could've been acquaintances already. Shit. Jaehyun mentally curses but was interrupted right away when Sungho whispers to him.

"What are you doing still standing here?"

"I...I was waiting for you."

"Nah, you can't fool me, brother. You're obviously crushing on the guy already."

"YA! I am not-..."

"Hey, Leehan-ssi. I almost forgot to introduce you two to each other. This is my cousin, Myung Jaehyun. He's single, by the way."

"You shut up right now, Park Sungho-..."

Jaehyun whispers in warning tone and nudges Sungho on the side with his elbow, but his annoying cousin just silently chuckles back at him, obviously enjoying Jaehyun's panicked face. But what Jaehyun hasn't realized yet is that the cute guy's already standing near them. Just a minute ago, the younger was just busy staring at the aquarium while feeding the fish with a smile.

"Hello, I'm Leehan. Kim Leehan. Nice to meet you, Jaehyun-ssi."

Jaehyun panics when the younger bows before him so he just awkwardly bows back as a response, almost dropping Riwoo's model from his hands.

What an odd day it really is. How is it not? Jaehyun couldn't even choose which left him speechless more. If it's the younger offering to help him or if it's the younger asking for his number right after.

Things really happened way too fast.
