Let's face the issue!!!

Aizawa carried me into Nezu's office right of the bet the next day, his expression unreadable. The air felt heavy, a mixture of hope and tension lingering between us. I perched in his arms, trying to appear dignified despite being very much a cat. Nezu, seated in his oversized chair, greeted us with his usual unsettlingly calm demeanor.

"Welcome, Aizawa. And Midoriya," Nezu said, tilting his head toward me with a polite nod. "I hope you don't mind that I've invited a few others to assist in unraveling this mystery."

As he spoke, Recovery Girl, Power Loader, and Hound Dog entered the room. They all looked curious, though each for a different reason. Recovery Girl carried her usual medical kit, while Power Loader had a small box of gadgets. Hound Dog looked intense, his sharp eyes locked on me.

Aizawa set me down on the conference table, and I sat, tail curled around my paws, trying to look as professional as a cat could.

"So," Nezu began, "now that we all know this cat is Midoriya, our next step is to figure out why and how we can help him return to his human form."

"Let me start with an initial observation," Recovery Girl said, leaning closer to examine me. Her experienced eyes scanned every inch of my feline form. "Physically, this is a cat. Nothing about this creature suggests it was ever human. No anomalies, no signs of quirk-induced transformation—nothing. Just a perfectly ordinary cat."

I let out a loud, indignant meow at her words, swiping my tail in frustration. Ordinary?  I was extraordinary, thank you very much.

Recovery Girl chuckled softly. "Well, except for that attitude, of course." She adjusted her glasses and pulled out a small needle. "I'm going to take a blood sample, just in case. Maybe it'll tell us something the physical examination doesn't."

Aizawa nodded, though his frown deepened. "Do it. We need answers."

I flinched as the needle pricked my paw, though it was more out of surprise than pain. She worked quickly, placing the sample in a small vial.

"Now, Hound Dog," Nezu said, turning to the looming figure. "Do you sense anything unusual on the psychological front? Perhaps this transformation has a mental component."

Hound Dog crouched to eye level with me, his intense gaze unnerving. I froze, unsure of how to act. He sniffed the air around me, then let out a low growl.

"It's... strange," he said after a moment. "This cat—Midoriya—has the instincts and thought patterns of an animal. Yet there's an undercurrent of something more, like two layers overlapping. It's not a split personality, but it's close."

Aizawa's grip tightened on his scarf. "Meaning?"

"Meaning this transformation isn't just physical," Hound Dog explained. "It's deeply ingrained in his psyche. His human consciousness is there, but it's intertwined with the instincts of a cat. That could make reverting him more complicated."

Great. Just great. I swatted at a loose thread on the table, my frustration bubbling over.

"And you, Power Loader?" Nezu asked.

Power Loader adjusted his helmet and stepped forward, placing a small device on the table. "I've been looking into quirk activity. Eraserhead mentioned that Midoriya used One for All, but it behaved... differently."

Aizawa nodded. "The lightning was black, and the energy seemed more chaotic than usual. It wasn't like what we've seen before."

"That might be the key," Power Loader said, his tone excited. "If One for All's energy is unstable, it could have affected his transformation. Maybe the quirk itself is amplifying the effects, making it harder for him to return to normal."

Nezu steepled his fingers, his sharp eyes glinting with interest. "Then our approach must be multifaceted. Recovery Girl will analyze the blood sample for any biological clues. Hound Dog can help untangle the psychological elements, and Power Loader can explore the quirk's role in all this."

Aizawa glanced at me, his usual stoic demeanor cracking slightly. "What do you think, Midoriya? Is there anything we're missing?"

I meowed, padding over to Power Loader's device and pawing at it. If One for All was the key, then focusing on that seemed like the right move.

"I think he agrees," Power Loader said with a chuckle.

"I still can't believe this," Recovery Girl muttered, shaking her head. "A cat with a quirk. It's absurd."

"Absurd, yes," Nezu said, his voice eerily cheerful. "But also fascinating. Midoriya's resilience and adaptability are remarkable. I have no doubt we'll find a solution—eventually."

"Eventually," Aizawa repeated under his breath, his tone grim. He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples.

I hopped onto his lap, pressing my head against his chest in a rare show of affection. He froze for a moment before resting a hand on my back.

"We'll figure this out," he said softly, more to himself than anyone else.
