"Have you seen my daughter's wrist?" Steve asked placing the blood-stained cutter on the table. "She has a scar there. Did you do it?"
"No." Donovan whimpered lowering his head. "It was Kevin."
Steve nodded leaning against the table his eyes glued on Donovan's now thumb less hands. They've been here for less than an hour and the man already fainted four times. So, it was fun for him to put others in pain but can't take a little revenge.
"Did you have fun tormenting my child?"
Donovan shook his head weakly as a sob escaped. "No."
"God, I love seeing you in so much pain." He said crossing his arms over his chest. "I've been tied up too and tortured all these years. But I could care less about that. What pisses me off is you going after my family."
"I'm sorry."
Steve chuckled dropping his head before reaching for a knife in the bag. "You know my daughter believes I'm dead and nobody believes a word my wife says. Why would you try to burn a five year and a woman alive?" he asked looking at him.
"I'm sorry."
Steve walked closed before slowly pushing the knife into his shoulder. Donovan let out a agonizing scream.
"I asked you a question?" He repeated moving back to his spot. "Why would you do that?"
"I wanted to-"
"To what?"
"I wanted to... to cut your ties."
"To them?" Steve laughed humorlessly. "And you thought that I would have spared you if you succeeded into killing them. Are you stupid?"
Donovan let out another sob when he moved closer. "Relax. I'm just taking this out. You terrorized my daughter and she took it like a champ. Look at you sobbing like a little bitch." He said grabbing the knife twisting before pulling it out, causing Donovan to let out ear pierce cry before his head dropped.
"Hey." Steve slapped his forehead but obtained no response.
He was out again.
"You can't be serious." He muttered looking at the unconscious man. "Keep fainting. I have a lot of time to spare."

"Thank God. I was starting to worry. What happened?" I asked as soon Jason walked through the door.
I walked up to him before wrapping my arms around his neck to pull him into a hug.
"We took care of everything." He said moving his arms around me.
"Tell me more because I kind of have to worry. Did you take him to jail?" I asked pulling back to look at him.
"Nope."
"You didn't kill him, did you?" I asked slowly, fearing the answer.
"Nope." He answered and I gave him an annoyed look.
"Then what happened Jason?"
"I'm not sure you want to know, Vicky. He's with Sebastian." He said drawing circles on my back.
I let out a small sigh of relief as he said that. "Seb is nicer than you."
He raised his eyebrows at me with a small smile. "You know what they say about the quiet ones. Don't let his cute side fool you."
"What will happen with him?" I asked and this time he gave me the annoyed look. "What? I'm curious."
"We are done with him and so is Donovan." He said and I pulled back giving him a look.
"Kevin was here." I said.
"For what? To ask for your help?" he asked moving closer to me again. "He didn't anything to you, did he?"
"No. I did most of the talking. But yes, he asked for my help and asked me if I knew where his brother was." I explained. "And he said I would be dead before the wedding."
"He threatened you?"
I shrugged. "He was desperate."
"You said you didn't want men bursting in here without your permission if Kevin comes here and that is why I put those damn buttons here. And you didn't even use it. Why!?" He asked angrily.
Someone is grumpy. I looked at his face noticing how tired he looked.
"Don't be mad at me. I wanted to see what he wanted. And I was going to use the button. I just had things to tell him first. And you, my friend, look tired." I said grabbing his hand in mine.
"What things?" He asked as I started pulling him toward the hallway.
"I'm not sure you want to know, Jason." I sighed using his words.
I almost laughed when I could literally feel him glaring at me. I walked in my bedroom and pulled in still answering his question.
"Vicky?" He narrowed his eyes at me and I shrugged.
"It's annoying, isn't it?" I asked taking his jacket off.
"Tell me."
"Nothing you need to worry about." I said unbuttoning his shirt and he didn't say anything except look at me curiously until I took it completely off keeping my eyes off his chest.
Don't look. Keep you eyes up.
Up!
"Rape."
"Shut up." I muttered with a small smile. "Get on the bed."
"Baby, if there's something else you want, you can just say it." He smirked and I narrowed my eyes at him pushing him backwards, until he fell on the bed and started kicking his shoes off.
"You keep your pants on."
"I don't like unfinished business, Vicky." He said narrowing his eyes at me.
"Boy, close your eyes and go to sleep before I choke you in your sleep." I said pulling the blanket over his head.
He pulled it back and I went around the bed to lay on the other side.
"Come here." I instructed opening my arms for him, and he didn't hesitate to accept my invitation.
"You're a big baby sometimes." I grinned wrapping my arms around him when one of his moved across my stomach.
"That's because I'm a mommy's boy." He muttered and I nodded in agreement.
"True. But is Donovan with your father?" I asked.
I don't really know what happened to him or how he was injured like Kevin said. He said he was shot. So they must enemies other than the Knights.
"My father said that Steve is taking care of him." He said and I nodded.
"So, Steve really works for your dad."
"Yeah. I need to know who this guy and why he just appears out of nowhere." He said and I could just hear the edge on his voice.
"He's an old friend of your father's. What exactly in wrong with that? What do you have against him?" I asked actually bothered that he really seems to have a problem with a man he doesn't even know.
"He just looks like someone who's got things to hide and I intend on finding out what." He said with a shrug.
"Jason, some people don't like their life looked into." I said poking his cheek lightly.
"Well if he's involved with my family, I have to know who he is."
"His name is Steve. That should be enough."
"Steve what? We don't even know his last name." He insisted.
He's stubborn. I know he is not getting that idea out of his idea until he finds what he believes is shady about that man.
"Why don't you just ask your father?"
He shook his tightening his hold around me with a yawn. "No. I'm going to find out on my own."
"Whatever. Go to sleep, Columbo."

"So, this is your room." I smiled holding my mother's hand as we walked into the room I prepared for her.
She slowly walked in and looked around with a small smile on her face.
"Do you like it?" I asked looking at her, fishing for any reaction.
"I'm so proud of you." She said turning to look at me before placing a hand on my cheek. "So proud."
I placed my hand over hers smiling wider. "I placed a wing back chair beside the glass wall. Just like you like it."
"It's certainly bigger than the window I had." She said smiling even more and directly went there. "Where's your crazy friend?"
"He had a meeting this morning for work." I said as she took a seat.
I followed her and did the same sitting on the chair across of hers silently. I was so glad she was finally out of that hospital. She's going to have a nurse around. But at least she's going to be in more comfortable and sane environment.
But with the Knights around?
Almost sane.
"I told you he wasn't far." She said quietly snapping me out of my thoughts and I raised an eyebrow at her before nodding.
"You did." I nodded knowing that she must be talking about Kevin. "No one will hurt you now. You don't have to be afraid."
"I'm not afraid." She said smiling at me. "The demon wouldn't hurt me."
The demon?
Again?
"But they should be. He got them." She said with a small smile.
"Who got them?"
"The demon."
I sighed leaning back against my seat.
And here I was thinking that she was doing better. Well she is doing better than before, but I don't know why she can let the idea of 'the demon' go. She keeps holding onto my father's memories and it is not helping her.
"Mom, the demon is not here anymore." I said quietly leaning in a little. "I'm here, and my crazy friend too."
She smiled lightly not saying anything before shaking her head at me and closing her eyes.
"I'll make you lunch." I said standing up.
I walked toward but her voice stopped me.
"You are the demon's child. Don't just look without seeing. Open your eyes."
