I sat in my car and stared at the house in front of me while rubbing my palms together.

I was at the address Kevin gave. And I know he's already waiting for me. I wasn't scared, nor nervous. I just didn't like him.

He's going to live everybody alone. As if trying to kill my mother and putting those dark thoughts in her head wasn't enough, he just wants to hurt everyone.

Sometimes I really wonder about his sanity. Why can't he just move on? Did he not learn anything while he was in jail?

Why is revenge so important to him. Especially when he was the one who was responsible for his own loss.

You'll never be alone with him.

I tried to call myself by thinking about Jason's words. For once I'm glad he has me followed.

I finally got out of the car, and slowly looked around.

I'm not alone, that's for sure. But where are they?

I huffed and walked toward the house. I knocked as I stood in front of the door.

"It's open, Victoria." I heard him say.

I took a deep breath and opened the door and walked in.

"In here." He said again just I closed the door behind me.

I followed his voice which lead me to the living-room. He was there sitting on the couch when I walked in.

"Hi." I said looking around the room.

"Hi. How are you?" He smiled lightly.

"Good."

"Have a seat." He said and I did sitting opposite of him. "Do you want something to drink?"

And Jason's voice came back in my head.

Don't eat or drink anything he gives you.

I wouldn't have anyways.

"No I'm good. Thanks."

"So tell me what happened? What did that son of a bitch do?" He asked as soon as I stood in front of him.

Stella is not a bitch. Asshole.

I cleared my throat. "Well he left me. He said he tried but couldn't do it anymore. He just started everything so I would stop listening to you. He said he promised he wouldn't hurt me as a friend, but never promised to return my feelings." I said and I honestly felt my eyes swell when I thought about how I felt when I really thought he was leaving me.

"Son of a bitch. I warned you, Vicky." He muttered.

"Donovan is Kevin's brother. He killed your father. Your mother didn't. I'm sorry. That's the only thing I haven't told you yet. I was waiting for the right time."

Jason's words kept repeating in my head. He told me that yesterday, which gave another reason to be even more mad at him.

I turned to him smiling lightly. "Yes you did. I should have listened. I was stupid. He played me like I was some idiot. I just don't like keeping anger in my heart."

"Then don't keep it in." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows looking at him. "I told you whatever you need, I'm here."

"Gain his trust. Show him that you don't want revenge, but you're not trying to protect or defend me anymore."

Jason's words came back in my head and I took a deep breath.

"I'm not gonna get revenge on him over something like that. I'll get over it. You're the one who lost 25 years of your life. You're the only one that has always been honest with me. And you were a brother to my father."

And your brother killed him.

"Yeah. So you're not going to try to talk me out of anything."

"No. He doesn't care about me. He can go to hell."

He smiled in satisfaction and leaned back.

"I told you I really cared about you. And whatever you need I will be there for you."

"Okay." I nodded.

"Do you plan on continue working there after you come back from your break?"

"I don't know, to be honest. I can't even stand the sight of him these days. Maybe when I come back, I'll be over him."

"It's understandable."

I looked at my watch and stood up. "I'm sorry but I have to go to work now."

"Okay. I'll call you."

*****

After sending an email of my discussion with Kevin hi Jason, I just focused on my work and tried my best to keep my mind out of Kevin.

"Hi!" I jumped slightly and looked up when Elena burst into my office.

"Hi." I smiled. "You came to visit?" I asked as she sat down.

"Nope. This building kills my love for life. I'm here to take something from my brother, for the new location. We start moving tomorrow, remember?"

"Yeah. I remember. Well he's in his office I think."

"You think?" She questioned. "You don't know if he's in his office?"

"Well... Your brother and I are not talking these days. We... are not together anymore." I said and her eyes widened before she stood up abruptly and walked to the door.

"What!?" She yelled. "What do you mean 'you're not talking'? Is he still being a jerk?"

"No. We ju-" she cut me off.

"I know he did something. I'm going to kill him." She said walking to the door and left slamming it shut.

I bit down any protest and just let her go murder him for me.

"Please do." I said quietly once she left knowing well that fool would be listening.

Idiot.

He's gonna wish he had stayed in jail.

Just one mistake from him and he's doomed. He doesn't even know what's coming.

I decided to focus back to work, knowing that if Jason doesn't Elena to calm down, she will directly go tell on him to her mother.

As usual.

It was a couple of hours before I shut my computer and rested my head against the desk, deciding to leave earlier.

I need to go see my mom. I'm not giving Kevin anymore opportunity to get close to her.

She has been doing so much better, both mentally and physically, and she talks more.

I looked up and glanced at my phone when I got a text.

From Jason.

Victoria? We need to talk.

I smiled and just leaned back against my chair and closed my eyes lightly.

After two minutes, I got a new text.

I told you I was sorry. Why are ignoring me?

Why am I ignoring him? Seriously?

I just wanted to call him right now, just to yell at him and tell why he shouldn't take what he did lightly.

But since I want to teach him a lesson. I'll wait until I start talking to him again.

I looked back at my phone when I received another message.

Victoria, Please?

I bit my lip looking at the phone, literally feeling my heart ache.

I shook my head quickly and just put my phone on silence and shoved in one of the drawers. If I don't see it, I won't be tempted to answer.

Hopefully.

He ignored my texts before. He will know how I felt. He probably thought I was joking yesterday. I don't want to give in, even though it's hard, he's gonna learn.

*****

"He didn't even answer me. That jerk. What did he do to you?" She asked pacing in the living-room, breathing heavily and I sighed. "He just ruined my ship. I spent so much energy on you two. That jerk."

I laughed lightly as I watch her literally rip her hair off. "Elena, it really doesn't matter."

She groaned and I just realized that she had tears in her eyes.

"Elena, Please don't cry." I frowned too standing up.

"He's a jerk. But that doesn't change anything between us, does it?" She asked sniffing.

"Of course not. He was the reason we met, but he wasn't the reason we became friends."

"Good." She sighed still frowning and wipe her cheeks.

I wish I could just tell her. But Jason said the less people know, the better. Only Hunter, Seb end Jason know about this. And they kind of had to tell me.

I don't know if Hunter plans on telling Stella while we're still taking care of Kevin, but he said he was going to tell her when the time comes.

I don't think these men learned their lesson the last time they tried to hide something from Stella.

I just know that Elena is going to kill me too, when she finds out I lied to her too.

"I knew he was the reason why you looked so down these days. We should go out for dinner." She suggested. "You don't go out a lot. It will help you think of something other then work and my stupid brother."

I smiled and nodded before grabbing her hand walking toward the hallway. "Whatever you want."

"We should go back to Italy together when I take my break, so we can do all the things we planned but couldn't do." I said and she finally grinned widely.
