Chapter 34

"I hate planes." Elena complained for the hundredth time today, while sitting down.

"Just shut up already." Sebastian snapped back, also for the hundredth time.

I just took a seat, knowing that their argument wouldn't last. We were on the plane, to go to Italy. So I don't if Elena is agitated because of that, or if it's really because she hates planes.

I was staring at my phone, stressed about having to leave my mother, even for a few days. I just wish nothing will happen while I'm away, or I'm going to loose my mind.

"Stop stressing. I can see your hair falling off." Jason sat next to me and grabbed the phone from my hand. "My mom knows what to do."

"I know. I can't help it." I sighed. "In moments like this, I wish I had siblings."

"No you don't." He wrapped arm around my shoulder before looking at them.

I looked at Elena and Sebastian to find them still arguing about God knows what.

"Stop. They are wonderful."

"They are. But I'm not gonna tell them that."

I shook my head before resting it on his shoulder.

"I think I was five when they told me that I had to share everything. I remember them telling me where babies came from. I was curious about it back then. But when I started understanding what they were talking about, it was-" He paused, probably not finding the right word.

"Scary?" I laughed at the disgusted look on his face.

"I can't even find the right word. My mom just told me that I was explaining it to people at my aunt's wedding after that." He said and I burst out laughing, looking at him wondering if he was serious.

"Are you really serious?" I asked and he nodded smiling. "How old were you?"

"Four or five. Apparently, I had no filter."

"Well nothing has changed." I mumbled. "I'm just sure you were nicer back then."

"I don't think so. You can't talk. I had to force you to tell me about your childhood."

I don't really have anything to say about my childhood. I was going home straight from school everyday. And then I started working for Jason, and he killed me with the work and made my life miserable in the first couple of years.

He used to tell me that I had to get used to it, if I wanted to have a position there. I wanted to work there really bad, but that didn't mean he could torture me.

I really thought he wanted me to quit, and that's why he was that hard. I can't count the amount of time I cried because of him.

"What's with the face?"

I shook my head. "Nothing. Just thinking about what a horrible human being you are."

"I know. Well you never want to talk about your childhood."

"Well there's nothing you don't know already, since you did some background research on me when I started at your company." I said and he looked at me furrowing his eyebrows. "Kevin told me."

"Bastard." He muttered. "We do that with all the employees."

"I know. I didn't say I was mad. I already know you're a psycho."

"That's so sweet." He smiled squeezing me tightly and gasped pinching his arm, before he loosened his grip.

My eyes didn't miss Tony's confused expression while looking at Jason.

I didn't even realize when he got on the plane. But he was sitting a little at the back with his computer in his lap.

"Yes, Tony. He smiles." I said and he quickly turned his gaze to me. "He even knows how to laugh."

Tony smiled before looking back at his computer. I chuckled receiving another hard squeeze from Jason.

"Are you trying to kill me?" I asked pinching his arm again.

"Victoria. I need to talk to you." Elena suddenly sauf standing while glaring at Seb.

Now they are done arguing.

"Okay."

"No."

Jason and I said at the same time. I rolled my eyes and went to stand up but he only pulled me back down.

"You are going to taint her heart even more with all your darkness. Stay away from her." Elena grabbed my hand and pulled me to stand up.

She pulled me with her before I can react. I followed her to the back and we sat down.

"What's bothering you?" I asked once we sat down.

"Maybe if you tell me the name of the man Jason told you about. It would be easier for me when I see Marco." She said in a whisper glancing at her brothers, to make sure they weren't listening.

So that's what this is about. I knew it.

"Elena." I chuckled. "Relax. You need to stop being scared of Marco."

"I'm not scared of him. I just get nervous. There's a difference."

"Nervous and scarily quiet."

She laughed hitting my hand. "Stop teasing me. I never teased you like that."

"No. You would just introduce me to everyone as 'Jason's not girlfriend yet, but soon'. At least I'm teasing you in private."

"Just tell me please." She pouted and I sighed.

I wish I could tell her. But Jason told me not to tell her, so it is not my position to say. He's lucky I'm good at keeping secrets, or I would have told on our spa day.

"Tell me." She groaned and shook me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"No."

"Please." She whined, giving me her best pleading face.

"That face doesn't work with your dad. What makes you think it will work with me?"

"You really know how to keep secrets. It's annoying when they are not my secrets." She huffed taking her shoes off.

"I would like my woman back now." We heard Jason say earning a glare from Elena.

"You chased all my potential boyfriends away. She's staying with me." She snapped locking her arm with mine.

"I really hope she finds a boyfriend before I find a woman for myself." Sebastian then said after being so quiet since we took off.

She just ignored them and turned her attention back to me.

"When we get there, we need to go out and buy some stuff and see the pe-"

"Marco?" I asked over her and she stopped to glare at me. I smiled looking away. "Sorry."

I'm surprised she hasn't figured it out. I've been teasing her about her crush on Marco for a few days now. Or maybe Marco is the last she would think of.

Well, we'll see how it goes.
