The Most Important Question

Olivia's POV

"Dear Olivia,

I'm not sure if you remember me, but I remember you.

In case you don't remember, my name is Seto.

I haven't been able to return to your kingdom for some time. My reasons for it are a secret, at least for now.

I have to say, Princess, I have had a few crushes in my life, but none have been so long lasting as the one I've had on you.

Now I don't know what love is. But I'm pretty sure that I have a pretty decent idea what love is, now that I've met you.

Do you know what love is?

If you can keep secrets, meet me behind the tree that stands tall beside your castle when the moon is right above the world.

~Seto"

I couldn't believe it. I hadn't seen him for over a year now, and now I can.

And maybe, just maybe, I'll find the adventure I'm looking for.

I hide the letter underneath a stack of my books that sit on my dresser, and looked out my window.

The moon was out, but it wasn't quite above the world.

My coronation was well after the time when most of the golems went inside for the night, and now, everyone who lived in the castle was sleeping.

Except for me.

I knew what tree Seto was talking about, too. It's the same tree that I use to climb out of the castle and escape into town.

I knew that no night guards patrolled that tree. I wouldn't be spotted escaping the castle.

I slide underneath my bed and unlatch the trapdoor that leads to a small hole in the floor.

I pull out my scarf, and my earmuffs and putting them on.

I look out of the window, checking the moon's position. It wasn't quite above the world yet, but it would be close soon.

I carefully slide the window open, not wanting to wake my father, Wilton, or worse, Blizzard. I did not want anyone to know where I was going. They would try to stop me.

I have to see him. I just have to.

I slip out the window, my red scarf covering my face. It will be difficult for anyone to recognize me with my face covered.

I scale the tree to the ground. Most people would fall from the top of this tree, and I nearly have. I know the way so well now that it is hard to believe I ever had any difficulty.

My feet find the soft snow on the ground fast, and I turn around, my back against the cold bark of the tree.

I look up. The moon is directly above the castle.

And Seto is nowhere to be seen.

For a split second, it feels as though I've gotten everything wrong. Did he mean another night?

And then I hear a voice in the shadows.

"I have to say, I didn't think you would show up."

I grin. "Why are you hiding, Seto?"

He steps into the light, and I see him. His face is the same as I remember it, except this time he's smiling.

"Couldn't let anyone catch me out so late." He shrugs, still smiling. "Didn't want to miss you."

I can't seem to stop smiling.

"I don't know why, but you've been stuck in my head for a year, Snow Girl."

"What a coincidence." I grin. Snow Girl. I could get used to it.

"You know, I think this is the first real conversation we've ever had." He grins. "Hi. I'm Seto."

I laugh a little. "I'm Olivia."

"I'd love to get to know you better, Olivia, and I want to start with the most important question of them all."

"And what question is that?" I ask.

He hesitates for a second, and grins. "What is your favorite color?"

I FINALLY UPDATED THIS! YEAH!

I don't know, I was watching some shipping videos and was feeling all romantic-y and stuff, so I thought, "Why the heck not?"
