Sommer's POV:
A couple days later...
"Don't worry Josh... I promise I won't drink, I'm just going to go hang out with friends at the Grill,"I sigh. "Are you sure I can't come?"Josh asks looking at me worried. "Well you could come but I don't want you to,"I say grabbing my jean jacket and leaving him there to go with my friends. As I walk to the Grill I smile seeing my best friend Elena Gilbert with her boyfriend Stefan Salvatore. She just got off of a messy relationship with a guy that I didn't meet but it was good for her, she loves Stefan. "Hey,"A familiar voice says behind me. I turn to see Damon looking at me. "Stalk much?"I ask realizing that he's Stefan's brother. "Ha I wasn't stalking darling, I was casually following,"He smirks at me. I roll my eyes at him. "I think that could be considered stalking,"I say glaring at him. He laughs. "You haven't called me yet,"He says looking at my pocket where I had the napkin with his number in it. "Ya, I'm waiting... Keeping you on your feet,"I wink at him then start walking away. "I like that but you know what I would like more?"He asks following me again. I clench my fists not looking at him. "What?"I say annoyed. "I would love to see those clenched hands in mine as I kiss you right now,"He says leaning in to kiss me. I push him away. "You know what I would like even more,"I say playing with his hair. "What's that my dear?"He asks stepping closer to me. I brush my lips against his ears. "For you to be patient,"I smirk then walk away. He smiles. "You know I think I will,"He says taking his hand into mine. "If you don't let go of me I will hurt you,"I say looking at our hands blushing. "Awe I think it's really sexy when you let your werewolf side take control of you,"He says spinning me around and pulling me closer. "Wait what?"I ask surprised. "I'm a vampire,"He says in a hungry sounding voice. I push him off of me once again. "Well then first of all I'm not sexy, second of all I don't date vampires, and third of all you know I can kill you so why do you keep trying so hard?"She says staring daggers at him. "First of all you are sexy,"He says looking me over and I blush. "Second of all I can change that,"He says looking into my eyes and putting his hands on my waist. "And third of all because for once in my life I don't just want a fling... I want you, Sommer and I want you to know that,"He says. I shake my head. "How do you know my name?"I ask looking at the ground. "Because I know you... We've met before the bar and I'm glad I got to meet you again,"He says slipping his hand into mine as we walk to the Grill together. I remember him and I start to laugh. "You were so sweet back then,"I say looking at him. He laughs with me. "I was such a nerd, I'm glad I changed,"He says. "Hopefully not completely... I liked the sweet, nerdy Damon,"I say kissing his cheek. He blushes but quickly hides it and I smile. "Hey don't get used to it... I'm not the type of person to always do that especially if you are a vampire,"I smirk walking into the Grill. "Hey what are you doing with my best friend,"Says a familiar voice who pushed Damon against a wall. "Elena what are you doing?"I say calmly. Damon looks at Elena longingly which makes me a little upset but I'm not sure why. "You shouldn't be hanging out with him, he's dangerous,"Elena says. "You mean the sweet nerdy Damon that I met hundreds of years ago?"I ask glaring at her. "He's not the same as back then... Wait hundreds of years ago?"She asks looking at me. Tears well up in my eyes. "I uh never mind,"I say looking at Damon looking at Elena. I run back to my house but suddenly there are hands on my waist. "Sommer,"Damon says. I turn around and push him off. "Don't worry about it Damon, you love her... I'm just a distraction, you are the ex I never got to meet, and now I'm gonna pretend like I never did,"I say and in a flash I was gone.
