|Chapter 2 - The Unexpected|
"Jenny let's go and grab a bite, this way you can show of your outfit." Jade comforted her sister calmly.
"Alright let's go," Jenny forced the words out of her mouth as gravity attempted to deny them.
They walked out of the house and slowly strolled towards the nearest takeaway as joy made its way up their spine. The restaurant was a half an hour walk from their house but they needed the fresh air. Swiftly, they entered the restaurant and ordered themselves a chicken burger. The mouthwatering food arrived in front of them and the beautiful aroma travelled up their nose. After munching their way through the burgers, they finished drinking the coke and left the restaurant. On their way out, they encountered someone unexpecting. Sophia.
"Hey girls! What are you guys doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be on your date?" Sophia bombarded us with questions.
"Hey Sophia! Yeah we wee supposed to be but we had to cancel it as Jenny's date couldn't come. And it would be rude for me to go and leave my big sis all on her own when she was clearly excited to wear her galaxy outfit." Jade rejoined.
"Oh, doesn't matter. Anyway, now that you are here let us just go to the cinema. I was just about to meet up with Ami there!" Sophia mentioned.
"That's a great idea," Jenny replied.
They went to the cinema and started watching the movie after they met up with Amina and checked in. They decided to go for a comedy movie so watched Inside Out. Once the movie finished, the girls left for their house with Sophia in her car as they were to lazy to walk back home.
"Seriously Sophia! Sixteen wrong turns? How is that even humanly possible?" Jade screeched concerningly.
"Sorry..." Sophia whispered innocently.
"Doesn't matter, let's just go in," Jenny muttered.
"No! We can't!" Amina squealed like a maniac.
"What, why not?" Jenny questioned Amina.
"Because I need to tell you something..." Amina replied, terrified.
Amina looked down at her watch and a second ticked as it struck twelve o'clock.
"Let's go in," Amina screamed, loud enough for the people inside to hear.
Confused the girls went in.
"Surprise!" Everyone shouted towards the girls.
"Happy Birthday babes," Amina and Sophia vocalised.
A surprised look was worn by the two of them as the unexpected happened. A surprise birthday party was held for the two of them in their own house. They were confused on how it worked out but appreciated the efforts. The girls parted ways as they explored each aspect within the party.
"Hey Kelly, how ya doin?" Jenny greeted Kelly in her hyper state.
"Yo Jen! I'm doing great! What've you been up to?" Kelly asked the crazy girl.
"Nothing much really just been busy with school and I have exams next term and I am so excited." Jenny sarcastically replied with frustration lurking in her face.
In the corner of the room, layed lovebirds having a chat.
"So you only made that up for this?" Jade questioned softly.
"Yes babe. I had to. I'm sorry for making your sister upset, it was only because I wanted to surprise you by coming here. I also have good news for your sister...Liam is here!" Lewis replied excitedly.
"But how did you guys do it in my house?" Jade asked confused.
"Sophia wasn't actually going to the cinema, well she was... she was going to go to your house and take you so that whilst you guys are at the cinema, we could get everything ready. But we needed more time and the movie ended so Sophia had to nlmake wrong turns to give us time," Lewis replied sheepishly.
"My god! You guys went all out, thank you," Jade thanked after hearing about the exhausting adventure.
The girls enjoyed the party whilst losing each other. Liam and Jenny went to the kitchen to grab a bite whilst Jade went towards the balcony on the top floor with her boyfriend. A few hours later, the party ended at four AM and everyone left. Even someone who wasn't supposed to...
Sophia helped Jenny tidy the downstairs whilst Amina tidied upstairs. The girls assumed that Lewis and Jade were still in the balcony as they did not see Lewis leave. They left them there and did not interrupt them because they thought it would be rude. With the intention of being respectful, the girls decided to ignore it and started to eat some snacks then get ready for bed. Amina and Sophia stayed over as it was late. They slept in the same placrs as they did during the sleeoover yesterday. At this point, it was already half four so Jenny felt the need to go and get Jade and kick Lewis out. Whilst going upstairs, Jenny was unaware of what was about to hit her. She looked through the glass door and out to the balcony to see no one. No soul was there. It was...Empty. In fear, Jenny screamed at the top of her lungs and her friends rushed upstairs to see her.
"What happened?" Amina shouted worriedly.
"Jade isn't there," Jenny screeched.
"Where is she? I need to find her. Now! What do I do? Where has she gone?" Jenny blurted out questions and bombarded them at her terrified friends.
Sophia had no clue on what to do. She just stood there. Frozen. Unable to move.
"Quick, get into my car. We need to go to the police station," Sophia squeaked as this was the only sensible answer to give to everything at the moment.
They all rushed down the stairs and flew out of the house. Within seconds, they were in the car on full speed to the police. Luckily, as it was so early, there was no traffic and they reached in five minutes.
"Officer, officer," Jenny yelped as the entered the building.
An officer came running towards them and started to question them.
"Name?" The officer started.
"Jenny Mane," Jenny replied quickly.
"Situation?" The officer continued.
"My sixteen year old identical twin sister was at home with me in our birthday party. She was on the top floor of my three story mansion with her boyfriend Lewis Wild, a seventeen year old teenager. The party finished at four o'clock and I thought my sister was still up there as I did not see Lewis leave. At half past four I went to check upstairs and she was not there. I screamed due to not seeing her and my friends came upstairs. Suggesting that Jade is definitely not in the house as she did not come when I screamed. My sisyer is noe missing," Jenny reported - giving a detailed description of what happened.
"Alright. We will try to find her. For now, we need your address," the officer replied.
"H25 9RN," Jenny answered.
"We need to do a security check in your house immediately," the man told me as he guided me out to a police car.
We all were instructed to ebter the car and remain silent whilst we drove to our house. When we arrived, we unlocked the door and allowed the five officers to enter. One went to the third floor, one went to the second floor, one went to the bottom floor. And the other two paired up - one writing and one asking - to question Jenny, Amina and Sophia.
"Tell us about Lewis," Officer Ross commanded us.
"A seventeen year old, blond guy who Jade met on the beach on Saturday. It was love at first sight and within an hour, they went in their first date amd also had become a couple. Today we were going to go on a double date (Lewis and Jade with Jenny and Liam, who is Lewis's friend). However, it was cancelled and we ended up in the party." Sophia replied.
"He seemed suspicious when we first met him as we felt the feeling that he was giving us glares," Amina added on.
Just then, the two officers stopped us and started to walk out.
"We have everything we need, your sister will be back by this evening. Go to this address at nine o'clock and ask for an explanation once you get there. Jenny must go in there alone but Sophia must watch through the window to keep caution. Amina, you need to record their conversation on video," Police officer Tim ordered us.
Leaving it there, the five officers left them three standing there confused. It was five am now so the girls went to bed and decided that they will wake up again at seven o'clock. Amina and Sophia slept easily as they felt no more tension over Jade but Jenny slept after struggling for half an hour due to non-stop pessimistic thoughts. The worry of her sister's safety stuffed her mind until she was finally able to fall asleep.
The two hours took a long time to come so it felt like they slept for an eternity. It was amazing.
Once they woke up, the got dressed and ready to go. They left the house once they were ready and slowly started to drive to the address written on the sheet of paper. They got to the area a few minutes before nine so they sat in the car waiting.
Jenny looked out of the window and gave a sharp gaze at the house. The abandoned building had smashed windows with glass surrounding the pathway. The rusty door pushed a terrible feeling into Jenny's stomach as the though of her sister having to stay in such horrible conditions frightened her.
The girls stepped out if the cars and positioned themselves as the way the officer told them to - Jenny went in alone but Sophiaed watch through the window to keep caution. Amina, was ready to record their conversation on video.
Nervously, Jenny walked knocked three times and within a flash, the door was flung open and Jenny was pulled in hastily.
