That night, Travis never finished his sentence. He didn't really say anything to me. And so did I. We just awkwardly fell asleep, not facing each other.

In the morning, I woke up before Travis and got ready for the day and left the room. I sat on the couch, about to watch Netflix but Kawaii~Chan interrupted.

"Hellooooooo~, Katetlyn~Sama! Sleep well? Probably, since Travis~Kun was there! Hehe!" She said.

"Um, y-yeah." I said.

She came over and say by me with a huge grin on her face.

"What?" I asked

"~Travis~Kun and Katelyn~Sama sittin' in a tree. K. I. S. S. I. N. G!~" She sang. I blushed and groaned. "~First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage!~"

I blushed deeper. "Sh-Shut up. I don't like him like that..."

"Suuuure, you don't!"

"Can you just leave? I don't feel comfortable talking to anyone...."

"Oohh, so thinking about what happened last night~ and what we all saw~ hehehe!"

She giggled and walked away.

"Haha! Aaron, that joke was the best!" I turned my head to see Aaron and Aphmau talking. I tried to be quiet and ignore them so they won't notice me and question about last night.

"Ha, yeah. I've always kinda been good at jokes." He said. Laurance looked jealous.

"Well, you are! Got any more?" Aphmau asked.

"Yeah! So—" Aaron began.

"*Ahem*" Laurance said. "Um, look over there! It's Katelyn sitting on the couch!" He pointed at me and they turned to me.

"Hey, Katelyn! Later, I'm gonna talk to you about you and Travis~! Hehehe! But now me, Laurance, Aaron, and Garroth are gonna go to the beach." Aphmau said

"Oh, um...okay." I said.

"Great! See you later then~!" Aphmau said as they left the house. I sighed and just continued watching Netflix.

As I was watching my show, Travis came out of our room and sat next to me without me knowing.

"Hey, Katelyn." He said. I jumped

"GAH!" I screamed. He laughed.

"It's only me, Katelyn!" He said.

"Y-Yeah...only you..." I said. We sat in silence for a few minutes.

"Sooo....about last night...." He cringed.

"That was...the most embarrassing and awkward moment of my life..." I said.

"Yeeaaah....it really was....dayum...lets hope they forget about that." He said.

"Travis...what were you gonna say to me?" I asked nervously. He blushed.

"J-Just forget I said anything last night." He said quickly.

I actually knew what he was gonna say....maybe it was kind of a good thing for everyone to interrupt.

I decided to put on Steven Universe. So we just watched that....

...until,

"OH GOD, IRENE NOOO!!!" It sounded like Aphmau. I paused my show and got up and walked over to them. Travis did the same.

Aphmau, Laurance, Garroth, and Aaron were back and they looked tired like they just ran a million mile race.

"...I'm afraid to ask what happened." Travis said.

"Mom....here....island....dead!" Aphmau stuttered.

"Your mom is here...?" I asked.

"YES! SHE'S ON THE ISLAND AND SHE'S GONNA MURDER ME!" Laurance shouted.

"Oh Irene..." I said with a face palm.

"Oh, Katelyn. Your dad is also here." Aphmau said.

....

No....

"WAT!?" I asked. "AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME!?"

"Oh no..." Travis said.

I got a phone call from my dad. I sighed and answered it in a voice full of disappoint.

"Yeah?" I asked

"Hey, sugarpea! I'm on the island with you all! I'm gonna spend the entire summer with you! Isn't that great?" He asked

"Yeah...it is..." I said.

"I also ended up meeting your friend's mom. And she's just the best! We have so much in common too!" He said.

"Uh, cool?" I said.

"And she's just the prettiest woman I've ever met!" He said. I gagged.

"Okay, cool! Well, I got to go and...feed my cat!" I said.

"Okay! See you in like five seconds, sugarpea!" He hung up.

"What?" I asked.

"We forgot to mention. Your dad, Garroth's mom, and my mom are together and THEY'RE COMING FOR US!" Aphmau said.

"Hide. Now." I said.

Before we could all run and hide, we heard a voice.

"Sugarpea!"

Oh no.

They were here.

My dad ran up to me and hugged me.

"I missed you so much, sugarpea!" He said. I was basically being suffocated.

"We talked last week, dad!" He pulled away.

"Oh yeah...but it feels like a long time ago!" He said.

"GarGar! It's so good to see you!!!" Garroth's mom said as he hugged her. He hugged back.

"It's good to see you too, mom!" He said

"Where is ZuZu!?" She asked

"He's in his room watching My Little Horsies again." Garroth said with a giggle.

"Haha! Well I'm gonna go say hi to him! I'll talk to you later, GarGar!" She walked up the stairs to find Zane.

"Aphmau! There you are! Why did you run from us?" Aphmau's mom asked

"Uhhhh....no reason!" She said.

"Uh-huh...well, if you're wondering, I came to the island to keep an eye on you and...him!" She glared at Laurance.

"Heheh...um, I'm just gonna...go over here...bye!" Laurance ran away.

"So, sugarpea, how have things been between you and your boyfr—" My dad said. I cut him off.

"Me and my best friend? Y-Yeah, things have been good, yeah!" I said as sweat appeared on my forehead.

"Things sure have been going good for them, all right hehehe." Aphmau said with a giggle

"Aphmau, shut up!" I said.

"What? Well, I better get going now. I don't wanna be a burden." My dad said.

"Uh, yeah! See you later?" I said.

"Yeah, talk to you later, sugarpea!" He said as he walked away.

"I should go too. But I'll come back to murder you boyfriend later, okay?" Aphmau's mom said. She sighed.

"Goodbye, mom!" Aphmau said.

When all three of them left, we all groaned.

"Ugh! Are you serious!?" I asked.

"This is gonna be a long summer..." Aphmau said

"Agreed..." Travis said.

I noticed the clouds outside starting to get darker. That concerned me.

"Looks like its gonna rain....aw..." Aphmau said. The rain began to fall.

"Let's hope that it won't storm." I said.

I walked back over to the TV to finish my show but it wouldn't play. Then I heard thunder. It must have messed with the satellite dish. I groaned.

"Ugh! Nothing is going right for me!" I said out loud. I turned off the TV and stormed off to my room

•°•Travis's POV•°•

I watched as Katelyn ran off to our room.

"Is she okay?" Garroth asked.

"She's just hotheaded sometimes. I'll talk to her."  I said as I sprinted up the stairs and into our room. I opened the door quietly.

"Katelyn? You okay?" I asked.

"I don't know, Travis..." She looked away with teary eyes. I walked over to the bed where she was and hugged her. "Nothing is going right for me. Last night was a wreck, my dad's here, it's storming, my show won't play, and no one remembered my birthday yesterday..." She said.

"Hey, I remembered your birthday." I said with a smile. She sighed.

"Yeah, but they didn't. This was my first birthday that I thought would actually be like a birthday. I thought things would go well for once..." She said.

"Hey, don't be sad!" I said softly. I wiped her tears away. "We can tell them now and we throw you a late birthday party. I don't even think they knew about your birthday. But it'll be okay." I smiled at her. She bluntly threw her arms around my neck and kissed me passionately. I was shocked at first but I kissed back.

She pulled away shortly.

"I love you, Travis." She said with a smile. "Heh, You always make me happy when I'm sad." I smiled.

"No problem, blueberry. Now let's go tell them." I said. "It sounds like the storm is dying down. We can go out to buy a cake and presents and things."

"Travis, why are you always so nice to me?" She asked

"Because you're my princess and I'm your knight. It's my job to protect you and make you smile." I said with a smile. She blushed and hugged me.

"Oh my Irene, that was the cutest quote ever." She said with a laugh. I chuckled.

"Well it wasn't as cute as you~"
