Naruto left to go to Mount Myoboku to train and learn 'Sage mode'.

It has been a few weeks since then, it has also been rather peaceful in the village.

Then tragedy strikes when Pein and Konan attack the village. Hiyori went out to help as much as she could and Itachi wants to help too but Ayano stops him, "you still need to rest ya know!"

Itachi sighs knowing Ayano was right and goes to the evacuation area with the twins. Meanwhile, Ayano goes to help. (her maternity leave is over)

After an 'Allmighty Push' the whole village was destroyed and then Naruto finally shows up and goes to fight Pein until he was on the ground stuck by metal rods. Ayano sees that Hinata Hyuga came to his aid.

"I won't let you hurt Naruto anymore!" Hinata yells.

Pein raises an eyebrow, "reinforcements?" he asks himself. Meanwhile, Naruto looks up at Hinata and starts scolding her, but is moved when Hinata confesses her love to Naruto.

Ayano teleports next to Hinata, "Don't worry, she's got help ya know" the two girls get into fighting stances.

Hinata then kicks one of the rods holding Naruto down while Ayano goes straight for Pein, throwing a three-pronged kunai at him which he pushes away with ease along with Ayano. What Pein didn't know is that she had surrounded him with chakra chains allowing her to restrain him long enough to get him with a Rasengan!

Pein was surprised that she even managed to land a hit on him, he was impressed, to say the least. Though he was able to escape and blows her away along with Hinata who was destroying the rods. The two kunoichi's get up, Hinata makes twin lion fists and Ayano makes a Rasengan, both dashing towards Pein who dodges both their attacks. Hinata hits one of the metal rods again along with Ayano but is both sent flying into the air by Pein.

The kunoichi's land on the ground hard!

"HINATA! AYANO-NEE!" Naruto yells, all he could do was watch as two people he held dear were being thrown around like nothing!

Hinata crawls over to Naruto slowly as Ayano gets up and attacks Pein. "you won't hurt Naruto anymore! I forbid it ya know!!!" as Ayano says this Pein starts choking her and watches as Hintat struggles to get up. "I don't understand. Why would someone weak like you try to resist? Why fight me? Knowing... that you'll die?"

Hinata grabs onto the rod that was holding down Naruto's hands.

"he's my family... ya know!"

Then Naruto painfully watches as his sister and friend...

Are stabbed....

Ayano slowly opens her eyes to a crying Itachi looking down at her, "Itachi... I"

"Don't you ever do that again, understand!... I... I can't lose you"

Ayano nods "I-I know, but Naruto was in trouble I couldn't just stand by and do nothing ya know." Itachi sighs knowing that if he continued trying to scold her he would just be wasting his breath.

"I won't die that easily ya know," she says with a childish smile that makes Itachi chuckle softly.

Naruto suddenly comes into the tent, Ayano's eyes light up and she tries to sit up but Itachi lays her back down. "Naruto, you're okay I'm glad ya kn-"

"I saw dad..."

Ayano stops processing what she just heard, "why didn't you tell me I was your blood-related brother," Naruto asks sadly to find out that yet again his sister had kept secrets from him. Itachi looks up at Naruto, "Ayano was told she had to tell the village and you that you were adopted by her because if everyone knew you were her brother you'd be targeted by other villages even more than normal."

"The elders even recommended that we be separated, I refused to let that happen ya know. So I chose to lie to protect you."

There was silence after that, until Ayano looks up at Naruto, "how was he? I mean dad ya know"

Naruto smiles, "He said he had been watching through me and he says you've turned into a beautiful lady and that he's proud of us, he also wanted to thank Itachi for being there for us dattebayo"

Ayano smiles, tears forming in her eyes. Hearing that made her so happy.
