Naruto was in the bathroom for a long time. "Naruto what the heck are you doing in there that takes so long ya know!" Ayano shouts banging on the door. Finally the door knob wiggles and out comes Naruto wearing a ton of face paint. "So you wanna look like a clown for your photo?" she says raising an eyebrow, Naruto waves his arms around like a toddler. "I'm not a clown I'm suppose to look cool dattebayo!" Naruto whines making the redhead shake her head chuckling. "Alright, alright, well we better get a move on if you wanna be on time for the pictures ya know"

Once they get there the photographer is wary about taking his picture with that 'masterpiece' on his face while doing a JoJo pose. Then in they go to the Hokage who tells him to take the picture again.  Ayano giggles as Naruto talks about how he doesn't want to mess up his headband before the graduation ceremony, then the door slams open "ON GUARD OL'MAN!!!" A young boy shouts as he trips over nothing falling on his face as a man had been chasing the boy from the looks of it. He had black glasses that covered his eyes that probably being his most defining feature.

Ayano and Naruto simultaneously give each other with a confused look,  unsure how to react to what just happened. The boy quickly gets up and laughs it off smirking "I get it! It's a trap? Right?!" Meanwhile the man who chased after him was panting for a few seconds. "Are *gasp* you alright honorable grandson? *wheeze*" He then stands up and pushes up his glasses. "And for the record there are no traps here."

Naruto looks the boy then at Ayano "What's goin on? Who's the kid?" he asked thinking since Ayano its smart she must know who he is. Ayano was about to answer him when she feels Naruto being glared at she turns her head to face the person and glares to her surprise it was the guy with the glasses, who at the sight of her blushes and looks away quickly.

Meanwhile Naruto had the kid by his long blue scarf, arguing back and forth. "That's Konohamaru Sarutobi, he's the Hokage's grandson." Ayano says finally answering her brother's question. "And the other guy I have no idea. Also Naruto put him down please I taught you better than to be a bully to others ya know." The guy with glasses blushes "M-my name is Ebisu I would like to know your name madam" He flirts, Ayano gives him a  blank stare making the man uncomfortable.  "I'm married ya know" Ebisu looks away sadly as if he got betrayed or something. Ayano pats Naruto on the head "well I must be off I have shopping to do."

Ayano was walking back to her house carrying groceries when out of the corner of her eye she sees the Uchiha symbol, she looks over 'I-Itachi?' she thought. But sees its Sasuke staring at something eating a tomato. Ayano walks over to him and sees he was staring at that girl Hiyori again, she smirks and sneaks up on him "you're watching her again ya know."

Sasuke whips his head around (so fast his head could have snapped off) and glares at Ayano. She chuckles at his jumpiness, "you really seem to like her if you've been doing this for years ya know." Sasuke's glare became more intense, he also had a hint of pink dusted on his cheeks "shut up" he grumbles.

Ayano (who wasn't scared in the slightest) rolls her eyes and smiles. "What's she like? She's got to be amazing to have the great Sasuke Uchiha crushing on her." Sasuke looks back at the Hiyori who was talking with a little boy who looked similar to Hiyori but had dark brown hair, she figured that it must be her brother. Hiyori had a bright smile that could light up a room on her face, moving some hair out of her face.

"She's..... Perfect" he mumbles the blush on his face becoming more distinct, Ayano smiles "I'm happy she makes you happy."

A few weeks later..... (like after the land of waves mission but before the chunnin exams)

Ayano was making breakfast for Naruto and herself....

"I'm gunna be late dattebayo!!!" her brother yells from his room, Ayano knew he was probably running around his room getting ready to meet up with his team. The door to his room slams open "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP NEE-CHAN?!" Naruto whines racing around trying to put on his headband.

Ayano sighs obviously annoyed "I tried three times Naruto" she says as Naruto is scarfing down his waffles, disgusting Ayano but making her chuckle at the same time. "You better not eat like that tonight ya know" Naruto looks up from his half eaten waffle confused. "Whart yoo tarkin afbout?" he asks with a mouthful of food in. Ayano smirks placing her hands on her hips. "First off don't talk with your mouth full, second... I'm inviting your team over for dinner" Ayano states proudly.

Naruto's eyes widen he was about to speak but remembered what his sister said a few seconds ago and swallows, "why" he asks nervously. "I'm curious about your team. I mean you're very vague when it comes to talking about them, and I want to meet them myself... besides I already know Sasuke and Kakashi-nii but not the others" Naruto sighs "Alright I'll ask em", Ayano smiles nodding. "Great! Now get going before you forget" Naruto nods and leaves. (not before saying goodbye of course)

The rest of the day was full of buying ingredients and preparing the dinner.....

It was sunset when the door to the apartment opens, "I'm back Ayano-nee Dattebayo!!!" Naruto cheers his voice echoing throughout the apartment. Ayano turns and jogs towards the door with a smile, "Welcome home Naruto, you brought your team and Kakashi-nii right?"

Naruto nods giving his signature smile, "yep they're all here dattebayo!" Ayano looks behind her brother and sees a girl with long pink hair and green eyes and an unusually large forehead and.....

"Oh it's Hiyori-chan!" Ayano cheers, Hiyori is confused "how do you my name?" She asks curiously "Well Naruto would talk about you being his friend and how you're always helping him out.... And Sasuke has been interested in you since the start of the academy."

Hiyori blushes "h-he has?" The pink haired girl starts whining like a baby. "That's not true! Sasuke-kun has been interested in me!!!" Ayano looks at the pink haired girl for a few seconds then speaks "Anyway come in, I have dinner almost ready so make yourselves at home" They walk in one by one when Sasuke was about to walk in but was stopped by Ayano. "And you mister are in big trouble...."

"You haven't talked to me in weeks what's up with that ya know!" Ayano gives Sasuke a playful glare which is ignored by Sasuke who bluntly responds "I was training." Then walks around Ayano and looks around the apartment making Ayano pouts. The pink haired girl looks around impressed "Wow I was expecting this place to be a mess or something" she mumbles. Hiyori bonks the girl on the head "I'm sorry about Sakura, she rarely has something nice to say" she bows respectfully. Ayano giggles "I can see why Sasuke likes you, you're polite"

"You haven't changed a bit Ayano-chan"

"Kakashi-nii!!!!" Ayano hugs Kakashi tightly "Its been so long how have you been ya know?" Kakashi chuckles "well training these four keeps me busy"

Ayano talked with Kakashi and Naruto, Hiyori would chime in a bit too. The conversation stopped due to an angry Sasuke storming over to Ayano "Why do you have these?!" He demands holding up photo of her and Itachi at their wedding and then held up another with her and Itachi and Sasuke. Everyone else felt awkward about the situation that was unfolding right now. Ayano sighs "I'm aloud to have photos in my house" she says taking the photos away from Sasuke and looks at the photos sadly. "But he-"

"Look Sasuke I know how you feel about him but I'm still his wife and I still care about him ya know."  Sasuke frowns then walks over to the couch plopping himself down on it muttering a 'whatever'. He hated the fact that Ayano still loves Itachi, how could she after what he did he couldn't wrap his head around it.

After a few awkward minutes dinner was ready everyone sat down to eat.

"Wow this looks great Ayano-chan" Kakashi says looking down at the food. He was proud of Ayano, she has come so far since the loss of her parents. She was only four years old back then now she is 17 years old, and even after everything she has been through she keeps on smiling.

Sakura looks down at the food before her surprised "I'm glad its not ramen, its not good for my diet" she explains. Hiyori looks at Sakura raising and eyebrow "girl you over there lookin like a twig what you talkin bout?" Naruto nods in agreement "Yeah ramen is the best thing ever dattebayo"

"Soooo what kind of skills do you guys have?" Ayano says trying to start up a different conversation. Sakura perks up "well I am-"

"she barely does anything on missions, she cares more about flirting than training" Sasuke interrupts then takes a bite of his food making Sakura deflate. Ayano gasps shocked by Sasuke's behavior "that's not very nice Sasuke, I'm sure she's very useful... right Kakashi-nii?" Ayano looks over at Kakashi who was eating happily but quickly pulls up his mask so nobody saw his face. He was about to speak before Naruto says something "Yeah teme! Sakura-chan is great!" he shouts. Kakashi clears his throat to stop the two rivals from starting a glaring competition, "she is one of the smartest on the team"

"But doesn't use her knowledge and instead fawns over Sasuke or is being mean to Naruto and I" Hiyori comments before taking a bite of the salmon happily. Ayano notices Sakura's face turning a bright red fuming with rage, Sakura then gets up and goes to the bathroom. Kakashi sighs "I'm sorry for their behavior Ayano-chan they act like this all the time... though that makes it worse." Ayano shakes her head, "no, its alright. I'm glad they're acting how they do normally, I don't want them to act all formal or anything ya know" Kakashi nods understandingly.

After a few minutes Sakura came back, scooting her seat closer to Sasuke's who in turn scoots away from her. Then everyone was eating in silence much to Ayano's disliking, she frowns ideas of conversation starters were whirling around in her head like crazy until she remembered something....

"So I heard you all went to the Land of Waves, I bet that was an interesting mission" Ayano asks hoping this will start a good conversation. Hiyori smiles "yeah it was neat, we were almost killed like three times.... But other than that it was fun." Sasuke smirks rolling his eyes, "that's one way to put it I guess"

Ayano smiles, she hasn't seen Sasuke this happy around anybody but Itachi.... "You seem happy Sasuke, its rare to see you smile even if it is a smirk" she says happily. Sakura looks up at Ayano "You sound like you know Sasuke-kun." she asks curiously. Though she was just thought if Ayano was close to Sasuke she could use that to get closer to Sasuke. Ayano gives Sakura as smile "Oh, I'm his sister-in-law. I'm married to his......." she pauses "I'm married to his older brother." She finishes her reply frowning as Sasuke now has an angry expression on his face. Although Sakura totally oblivious to the fact that it obviously a touchy subject "Really? Sasuke-kun has a brother, what's he like?" She asked excitedly think that this could lead to her talking to Sasuke about his brother.

Ayano blinks a few times then looks down at her wedding ring on her finger thinking about her memories with Itachi. She doesn't realize she had a smile on her face, "He's one of the most talented Ninja I've ever seen. He has a major sweet tooth, whenever I bought Dango I'd always find it missing if I left unguarded." She chuckles at the memory. She could see his face clear as day in her mind. "He has the biggest heart I've seen besides Naruto of course. He'd always be ask if I was ok if I sighed or if I had come back from a mission he would have made dinner for me and Naruto" She is totally oblivious to the fact she is blushing at this point.

Sakura 'awws' " you really care about him so romantic" she says letting out a squeal. "You speak so highly of him even after all this time" Sasuke mumbles making Ayano snap back into reality she frowns. Naruto goes and hugs his sister knowing she was now feeling sad.

After a while everyone left thanking Ayano for the food. Ayano cleans up then does her nightly things and puts the photos Sasuke took back to hanging on the wall. Then she goes to sleep unaware of a silent raven that was perched on her windowsill......
