Ayano runs into Kakashi's house after hearing the word of him fighting someone who was looking for Naruto. She slams open the door, "Is Kakashi-nii okay?!" Ayano panickily asks. The Jonin look at Ayano unsure of something, as Sasuke walks in and also starts panicking, "w-why is Kakashi-sensei bedridden?" Sasuke then looks at Ayano surprised that she was there "and what are you all doing here? What's going on?!" Ayano nods in agreement, "I heard Kakashi-nii fought someone!"

Guy tries to calm the two Uchiha's down "oh... nothing really-"

"Is it true that Itachi showed up in town?! And that he's after Naruto..." a random guy who came in asked, then he realized that he said this in front of Ayano and Sasuke who blink in surprise trying to process what the man just said.

"oh"

Guy facepalms and Kurenai sighs mumbling about the guy being an idiot. Ayano was having an emotional rollercoaster right now, she quickly runs out of the room as fast as she could ignoring the Jonin's calling her name. 'Itachi....Naruto' she thinks as she runs out of the village one of the last things Itachi said to her flashes through her mind.

"I'm joining an organization in wait for Sasuke to grow strong and kill me"

'that organization must be the Akatsuki I heard rumors about... the ones trying to kidnap the Jinchuuriki's. They must be after Naruto for the nine tails' Ayano thinks to herself as she finds Naruto by following his chakra.

She finds them in a hallway of a hotel where Hiyori was with Naruto, Sasuke was at the end of the hall near her, Itachi looked older and was in a coat that matched another man. (who's face reminded her of a shark) "NARUTO! ITACHI!" Everyone in the hallway of the hotel looks at her, confused, shocked, or both. Ayano rushes past everyone, blind by happiness and relief to notice that the shark man was about to grab his sword but Itachi gives the guy a look and is pulled into a tight hug. Naruto blinks shaking his head trying to shake the thoughts about how he hasn't seen Ayano like this since Itachi left. "I know you've missed him Ayano-nee-chan, but he's dangerous dattebayo!" Naruto shouts worriedly.

Ayano ignores her brother's words of advice and smiles looking Itachi in the eyes tears flowing down her cheeks, "I've missed you ya know" she says quietly almost in a whisper. Itachi looks down at Ayano staring at her, he wraps his arms around her slowly, trying so hard not to smile. He started to relax being in Ayano's embrace, he hadn't had a hug from her in four years, he missed them dearly much like how he missed a lot of things about her. Naruto and Hiyori had noticed the change in his physical attitude, while his eyes shown no change they looked hallow and bored.

"Ayano, Get away from him! I'm going to end this!!" Sasuke says as he starts up a Chidori running at Itachi. (destroying part of the wall that is was near) Itachi was suddenly in front of Sasuke holding his wrist stopping Sasuke in his tracks, Itachi then breaks Sasuke's wrist making him scream in pain. Ayano cringes at the sight, telling herself it was all an act knowing it was eating him up inside to be hurting his brother.

Hiyori leaped into action going to hit Itachi with a gentle fist infused with chakra but was kicked by her target hitting the wall. Naruto sees his friends being hurt and tries to use a summoning Jutsu, the shark guy swings his sword which cut and devoured Naruto's chakra, then goes to attack him while he was trying to figure out what happened. Ayano pulls out one of her three-pronged kunai, "well seems Itachi-san is acquainted with the fiery red flash" the shark says with a smirk.

After that Jiraya showed up meanwhile Itachi had kicked into the end of the hallway, "SASUKE!" Hiyori and Naruto say simultaneously, Ayano watches at the young Hyuga gentle fists Itachi who moves backward slightly then lets out a fury of punches before finally kicking Itachi away. Ayano was impressed as was her husband never had they thought this small girl could hold her own against such a difficult opponent. Sasuke was shocked still trying to get up, "H-Hiyori, what are you-".

"I'm part Uchiha, this is as much my fight as it is yours! And I refuse to let anything else happen to the one I love!" Hiyori replies, Ayano could see Itachi was proud, proud of his brother finding love and making friends. She knew him like the back of her hand, and his eyes gave it away too, Itachi gets up "Impressive, seems you followed through with what I asked of you last time we spoke..."

Itachi is suddenly in front of Hiyori (who was helping Sasuke up at the moment) and starts choking her along with Sasuke, then puts his beloved brother under a genjutsu making the poor preteen (cus he's twelve) scream. Itachi then tells Hiyori to make sure Sasuke gets stronger, Hiyori goes unconscious shortly after. Then Jiraiya makes the hallway the inside of a toad's mouth, Itachi and the shark make a run for it but Ayano grabs Itachi's wrist making him stop.

"Itachi... I-" she was at a loss of words, tears fall down her cheeks, years she had spent preparing what she'd say when she saw him again but those words were forgotten at the moment. Itachi looks back at her wiping away a tear "You're weak Ayano".

"I know, and I also know you're never coming back, but... know that I- I"

"Itachi-san we'll be caught if we don't leave," the shark man said annoyed at the fact Ayano was stopping them and that Itachi was letting her do this.

Itachi nods, "goodbye Ayano" then leaves with the shark.

After the whole ordeal, Guy had shown up to take Sasuke and Hiyori back to Konoha and was talking to Jiraiya, Naruto looks up at his sister. "Ayano-nee-chan why are you like that to him even after he killed Sasuke and Hiyo-chan's family?" Ayano frowns "I still love him Naruto... And I always will."

After that Ayano went home and sits on the couch hands in her hair, it was finally registering what happened earlier today, she saw Itachi again. She feels something in her pocket she pulled out what felt like a piece of paper out of her pocket.

Ayano,

I wish I could have told you this in person but you and I already know that it would have been dangerous. I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I want you to know that I'd rather be right beside you than in this dark organization. I miss you and Sasuke very much, I wish I was there for our brothers' graduation. I only hope that Sasuke will get strong and kill me. This pain and guilt are unbearable, but I don't want to worry you any more than I already have. I wish I could have had a life with you, I'm sorry.
