I peel the banana and hand it to Jake as he swings his legs on the bar stool. Aiden walks in and slams the door behind him glaring at me. I pick up Jake and carrying him to his room I turn on the TV to show the school house rock video. Its an older video but I have to provide the kid with some form of education. I walk back into the kitchen to see Aiden crack open a beer.

    "It's only ten o'clock in the morning and you're already drinking, really Aiden?" I sigh walking up behind him massaging his shoulders. I reach around him and grab the beer taking a swig.

     "And yet you're taking a drink out of it, interesting." He smirks as I slap his cheek lightly. "How long are you going to treat him like a fragile child?" He sighs.

      "He still is one, love. I know what his mission is and what he will grow up to be, but for right now we have to simply take it one day at a time. We start off with training for a couple of hours a day and slip war defensive videos and tactics into his curriculum. We can't just force the boy to grow up and fight all in one day, love."

     "Mmm... You know I love it when you call me that." He says standing up and turning around to wrap his arm around my waist and pull my body against his kissing my neck softly. He starts to nip at my neck softly making me smile as the tears well up in my eyes. His kiss travels up to my jaw bone turning softer as almost a way of proving his feelings. He then starts edging towards my lips when I finally can't take it any longer.

     "Aiden, you know we can't be this, can't do this anymore. Although we are equals, we aren't allowed to be more than colleagues. If they found out we even had these feelings for each other they'd either split us up or give us the option of quitting to love each other." As I finish the last sentence he slides his knee between my legs and groans before pulling away.

    "I know, but come on couldn't you let me see what things could be like for even five minutes. You know how I feel for you, but you also know the importance of our mission and you're right. We must stay focused. I'll go update headquarters on his progress today." He walks down the hallway in defeat as I sigh and chug the beer. As much as I wish I could be with him I know that will simply never be in the cards for us. This target is one that is going to require years of training and living together. Hell the kid has only been here a week. I can't give in to Aiden's charms... Ever... But especially not this soon. This is gonna be rough.

    "Ravian the video is over, can we go back to training now?" Jake runs into the living room asking and I smile saying yes and yell to Aiden that we'll be outside whenever he wants to join us.

    "Okay Jake we're gonna try something different this time." I pull over a bucket of water and tell him to slap the water. He looks at me puzzled, but does it anyway. "Good, again." He slaps a little harder and I tell him to continue until his hand hurts from the water. So he keeps up for a couple of hours until Aiden walks out.

    "Eagle, can you teach me how to kick again. I promise I won't cry this time." He smiles up at Aiden who nods and jumps down from his usual spot on the boulder.

     "Okay five kicks to the left." Aiden instructs and so Jake listens kicking five hard times to the left. Then Aiden smiles and instructs, "Good, now do the same to the right." and so Jake turns and does five to the right. "Okay, now the tough one. Kick five times straight forward and I mean really kick but don't knock yourself over." Jake nods and tries. He gives a good kick forward forcing his eyes closed tight as if he expected to fall, but smiles when he sees that he's still standing. "Good, now four more." Jake smiles and kicks almost with ease four more times. "Now repeat." Jake turns left and kicks five times, then turns right, then kicks forward. "Again." Jake repeats the process for several hours as the sun begins to dip behind the horizon and I look at Aiden telling him silently not to push him too hard. "Okay, that's enough for the day. Go inside and Ravian will help you get ready for bed." Jake smiles running inside as I smile at Aiden.

     "He can do this, I told you he was the right kid." I smirk kissing Aiden's cheek which in turn makes him blush. I walk into the house and walk down to Jake's bedroom to get him dressed for bed. As soon as I walk in I see that he got impatient and changed himself then crawled into bed and passed out. I smile turning off the lights just in time to hear, "Ravian, is that you?"

     "Yes sweetie?"

     "Can you tuck me in?" he yawns rubbing his eyes with his fists.

     "Of course."

So sorry that its been so long since I've written, but between college classes and moving back home I've hardly had time to write. But I promise I'll start updating weekly to give y'all plenty of material to read.
