---Ashton---

Sasha's face filled with fear "Are...Are you... sure?" She said her voice shaking
"Yes I'm sure," Ashton looked down at Sasha her face covered with slight shadow from the trees as she looked up at him her eyes were becoming bright and shiny as water started to fill them. He grabbed hold of her shaking hands
"Sasha they want to execute her."
"Your lying!" She screamed and broke free of his grasp tears streaming down her face beautiful face "she would never do that!"
"Sasha I'm so sorry, but you know that I would never lie to you, I think what they're saying isn't true either but we have to go through this together." He said feeling a sense of regret for telling her so soon.

"I won't let them take her!" Sasha said as if she didn't her what Ashton had said "I won't let them!" She let out a hopeless scream and dropped to the ground tears streaming down her face at a rapid rate.
"Look Sasha we can't do anything about it," he sighed holding back tears to try to show his strength in this moment "I... think you... need to run away."
Sasha looked at him in disbelief
"Run away?"
"Yes" Ashton sighed "I don't want you to leave either but if you stay... then they might kill you to." He stepped toward her "and if anyone wants you not to be put into the filthy hands of the king it would be me." He brushed her shiny brown hair out of her face and smiled "your a princess remember, if you go out there," he pointed further into the forest "people will help."
She frowned "but I'm not a princess, that's what my mum and you just call me that as a nickname." She paused "I'm not even near a princess I'm just a boring old maid."
"No your much more than that."
Ashton brought her closer and after a small pause he kissed her, pressing his lips to hers felt like he was rid of all his fears and worries had all vanished and it was only the two of them in the world and the only thing that mattered was Sasha. He moved his hand away from the back of her head to her cheek, to his surprise he felt something wet and cool he pulled away quickly only to find the girl with tears streaming down her face staring back at him.
Ashton was shocked and confused
"I...I'm sorry... did I do something wrong?" He started blushing deeply maybe it was too soon, or she didn't feel the same. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Sasha shaking her head with a small smile "nothing was wrong I'm sorry... you just said I need to leave and I... don't want it too I want to stay... with you but as you said... I need to leave." She sighed and smiled the tears still coming
Ashton sighed and pulled her into a hug "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that, it was stupid of me." He let go of Sasha and started walking the opposite direction back to his dorm, leaving Sasha standing there sobbing. He felt guilty of course but he new that if he stayed with her any longer it would be harder for her to leave.

As he started making his way to the edge of the forest he heard a distant shout, he stopped in his tracks and looked around for the sound
"HEY YOU THERE!" Ashton jumped at the sudden shout and turned to see a fellow guard running towards him holding gun at the ready "STOP RIGHT THERE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUTSIDE OF THE CASTLE!" The man shouted
Ashton bolted back into the forest back to warn Sasha about the man. It had only been a few seconds since he started running but he could already se her, she was siting on one of his logs he'd cut, wiith her head in her hands ,still crying
"SASHA WE HAVE TO HIDE!"
Her head jolted in his direction tears still running down her face she jumped up from the log and started bolting towards the closest tree, Ashton reached out toward the tree as if some how he could reach it.
He heard the shout this time louder
"I SAID STOP!" the sudden sound of a gun shot burst through the trees. He felt a pain cursing through his right leg, he dropped to the ground the pain growing every second he, choking on the pain wondering if this was the last thing he would experience as his eyes started closing and... everything went black.
