It has been half an hour since sonakshi was standing in front of arohi's school gate. She knew that meeting her at Arjun's place was almost impossible so she decided to meet her at school. It was more than a week since she had met arohi and she knew that arohi will be angry on her. But still, her anger seems to be justified. It was them, adults, who were messing up things ruining the kid's life. She also knew that Dev wouldn't be happy, if he comes to know that she met arohi secretly. But being a mother, she can't control herself. She was hellbent in meeting arohi that day, no matter what consequences it lead to. All that mattered to her at that moment was arohi only.

She wondered why arohi was so late as she was always punctual. From waking her up to dropping her to school, almost every work was done by Dev only though both Dev and sonakshi decided to divide the job equally between them. Not that she liked to impose all the work on him only, it's just that he wished to do everything for arohi by himself without troubling sonakshi and she too just couldn't resist the cuteness of the father-daughter duo. Tears welled up in her eyes, as images of past flashed before her. How she wished to go back in time and set everything right! But alas, now everything went out of their hands and she didn't even know if everything can get back to their actual place. Never even in her dreams, she thought that there would be a day when she would be dying to get atleast a glimpse of arohi. But life isn't fair sometimes.

Her thoughts broke as she heard some known voice. She snapped her head towards that direction and her lips curved up seeing their little princess stepping out of a car. Her face looked pale and she can't even find the tiniest of happiness in her angelic face. An unknown guilt took over her as she considered herself to be responsible for her state. May be if she would have tried to convince Dev a little more or may be if she would have been a little adamant to have arohi with them only, arohi would have been happier she thought. Her trance broke as she heard her footsteps much closer to her.

"Mumma!", Arohi's face lit up as soon as she found sonakshi near the gate. The car that dropped her zoomed off a while ago and she didn't expect sonakshi to be present there, at that moment. "Arohi", Sonakshi whispered as tears pooled up in her eyes, she kneeled down to her height and arohi ran towards her throwing herself in Sonakshi's arms. Sonakshi held her close to herself, showering her with kisses all over her face. "Do you know how much I missed you?", Sonakshi asked her smiling through her tears and arohi couldn't stop herself from grinning ear to ear. She was angry, but on Dev only for letting her go. She longed these days to see sonakshi and now having her close to herself, couldn't make her more happier.

"Mumma see this. I got this batch for scoring first rank in last exam", Arohi said showing her batch proudly and sonakshi couldn't help her smile growing up. "It's beautiful partner. I'm so proud of you", she said kissing her forehead and caressing her batch. "I wished to show this to you yesterday only and you came before me today. How did you come to know everything that I think about?", she asked her innocently. "That's because I'm your mother. And a mother knows everything", she said and arohi smiled at her brightly. "By the way, did you show this to your mamu? What did he say?", Sonakshi asked her excitedly and soon arohi's face dropped off. How could she tell her that she didn't like to tell him everything that happened in their school everyday, like she said to Dev and sonakshi, though he was all ears to her.

She knew that Arjun was trying so much to give his full attention to her, but still she felt that void, not that which happened because of her biological parent's absence but that which happened because of the absence of her parents who cared for her, more than their own child. Sonakshi could sense that something was wrong by looking at her confused expression. But before she could ask her anything, arohi interrupted her. "Mumma, what happened to your tummy?", Arohi asked innocently looking at her now flat abdomen and sonakshi couldn't help but smile at her innocence. "Since my partner scored first mark in class, I have a special surprise for her", Sonakshi said smiling widely while arohi looked at her confused.

"Wait a minute", Sonakshi replied standing up and walked towards the car, leaving a confused arohi behind. Arohi who was keenly watching her till then, clasped her mouth in surprise as sonakshi took a baby carrier from inside the car. She walked smiling at her, who stood there grinning widely. "So partner, how is the surprise?", Sonakshi asked bending down to her height and arohi jumped excitedly, looking at the tiny wonder who was already staring and smiling at her. "Is it our baby?", Arohi asked in surprise and sonakshi nodded at her in a yes. "Yes, and it's a boy like you wished. He is a week old", Sonakshi said smilingly while Arohi couldn't help but smile widely. "Can I touch him?", she asked her innocently looking scared a little. "Why not? He is your little brother", Sonakshi replied and arohi took her hand and touched his tiny nose. As soon as her fragile hands touched him, he squealed excitedly making her face lit up.

She took her hand and traced his miniature fingers but he quickly grabbed her fingers, taking her by surprise. "Mumma, he is eating my hand", Arohi complained innocently looking at the baby, who was sucking her fingers while sonakshi giggled. "Arey baby, stop eating your sister. She is not a candy to lick", Sonakshi said teasingly pulling her fingers out of his mouth. "Mumma!", Arohi whined with a sad pout making sonakshi chuckle. "Partner, just for fun", Sonakshi said pulling her cheeks and winking at her while arohi gave her a cute grumpy look. "Mumma, why are you calling him as baby? Call him by his name", Arohi said and sonakshi just smiled in return. "We didn't name him still", Sonakshi said and arohi looked at her surprised.

"But we have already decided a name for him na?", she asked her confusedly. "But it is you who should call him by his name first", Sonakshi said softly. "Why?", Arohi asked her confusedly while sonakshi just smiled. "There is no need to be a reason for everything", she said smilingly and gestured her to proceed. Arohi shrugged her shoulders confusedly and held his hand, which were already clutching her fingers tightly. "Arush, hereafter your name is arush. No one will call you as baby. Because you are a big boy, isn't it?", Arohi asked him cutely to which he squealed screaming loudly as if saying a yes. Sonakshi's eyes welled up in joy, seeing the scene unfolding in front of her. How she wished the time to freeze at this moment!

"Dev would be happy if he gets to see you like this", those words slipped her mouth unknowingly and she failed to notice the change is arohi's expressions. Arohi quitely got her hand free from the baby's hold and ran away from there, shocking sonakshi to the core. "Arohi! Arohi!", Sonakshi tried to go behind her but she rushed inside the school, leaving sonakshi confused. "Everything was going fine a while ago. What happened now?", Sonakshi whispered disappointedly cursing herself. But finally she understood one thing, arohi was very much disappointed with Dev which actually turned into uncontrollable anger. If it continues, she wondered where will things lead to and she decided to come back in the evening once again after her school gets over. She was all lost in her thoughts that she was completely unaware of a pair of eyes, that were watching them from the very beginning.

"Shona, I'm sorry yaar. Please talk to me", elena was pleading to sonakshi on a call but Sonakshi stood adamant. "Ele, do you think that it's such a simple mistake to forgive you? It's been a week now, but you didn't even care to meet me or my son", she replied curtly. "Your son! Seriously shona? How can you talk like this? He is my nephew after all. I know, I did a big mistake but I'm so sorry for that. I never knew that the fashion show that I was most awaiting for, will be pre-scheduled suddenly. And it exactly happened to be on the day of your delivery. If I knew it in prior, I would have not gone there", elena said sadly but she didn't look convinced.

"It's okay. I know that your fashion show is important to you than me. So please don't try to convince me by your false words", she said grumpily and elena shook her head in dismay. "You will never understand me shona. I was rushing to your home from airport a while ago, but my boss asked me to meet him immediately that too at his house. What can I do? It's my bad luck", she said sadly. "Is it so? And again you chose your work over me. Don't ever show your face to me. Go and marry your stupid boss", Sonakshi said angrily and was about to disconnect the call but stopped hearing elena's words. "Don't call my boss stupid", elena said softly which didn't go unheard by sonakshi.

"Oh! So it's okay to tell you to marry your boss but it hurts when I call him as stupid. Great development! Tell me what happened. Right now!", Sonakshi said authoritatively while elena was tongue-tied as to what she should say. "Shona.. I.. we.. he.. .", she fumbled with her words increasing her doubt all the more. "Ele, tell me the truth only", Sonakshi ordered strictly making elena gulp down. "You know what, he personally recommended my designs to the fashion week. But not as a boss. He wanted me to achieve what I deserved personally, instead of going through his company because he thought that as he rejected my designs first, I should get what I deserved by my own. So.. ", she stammered. "So?", Sonakshi asked teasingly. "So, he is not as bad as I thought. He is a nice guy", she said smiling widely.

"Oh ho! But Ele, stop blushing. You look like a tomato now", Sonakshi said while elena's jaw dropped down in shock. "What.. How.. Are you there anywhere around me?", she asked looking here and there while sonakshi just giggled. "So, it's confirmed. You got it", Sonakshi said teasingly. "What?", elena asked her confusedly. "Love fever", Sonakshi said stressing the former as elena's eyes widened in shock. "Oh shut up shona! Don't be stupid. He is just my boss. And it's just that I'm thankful to him", elena said irritatedly trying to hide her growing blush. "Oh ho! Just your boss.. Hmm.. Let's see for how long. And by the way, enjoy his company", she said teasingly and disconnected the call without waiting for her reply. "Pagal", elena muttered to herself smiling thinking about her insane sister.

Dev was going through some reports in his clinic when he received a call. "Dr. Dixit here", he said attending the call but soon his expressions changed into a confused one. "What?", he asked unbelievably and disconnected the call as anger took over him. "Sonakshi.. Sonakshi..", he yelled as he entered the house. "Dev, you are home so soon today", she said surprised due to his sudden arrival. "Did you meet arohi today?", he asked her angrily as sonakshi looked at him gobsmacked. She looked into his eyes that were filled with disappointment and gulped down as to what should she tell him now.

"Ravi, inform Ms. Elena Bose all the details about the show", Arjun said walking away as elena stood there gazing at him dreamily. She knew that something was happening to her due to her rude boss, she even was sure of it after a long teasing session by her crazy sister. But may be just an attraction or a crush, which will fade away with time, she thought. But she just couldn't admire the efforts he put trusting her talent. Though she knew that it was because that she was his employee, but the mere thought that he was doing all this only for her, that is her talent, made her joy grew by leaps and bounds.

She stood there still all lost in her thoughts that she failed to notice someone walking down the stairs. "Elena maasi!", Arohi said in surprise breaking her reverie. Elena looked at arohi in surprise, who rushed towards her and hugged her legs tightly. "Arohi, what are you doing here?", she asked her bending down to her height while arohi looked at Arjun who stared at them confusedly.
