Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick"

It's funny, because it shows that when we look into the depths of our hearts we find some of the dirtiest and most deceitful things.

Words From the Heart is a powerful poetry book because it reaches into my core and pulls out how I'm feeling. But, in the end, some of it is lies. Some of the things are feel simply aren't true. I know people care about me, but sometimes I feel like they don't. And that right there is how the heart is deceitful. It sometimes tells you these things that are fundamentally untrue.
