When you're dating someone, don't compromise. If something feels off in the beginning, listen to that gut feeling. If you're scared of talking to them about certain things figure out if it's you, or if it's because of them. And if it's them, why.

   When someone is attractive and fun, it's hard to call it off. But if you don't share the same core values then long term will never work. I know you want that relationship badly, but if something is telling you that something is wrong, that there's better out there for you, listen to it. It's insanely hard, but be honest with yourself.

   Trust me. Political differences may seem trivial but they can reveal a difference in values that will emerge later. Religious differences might seem like nothing at first, but it will build up later on.

If you want long term make sure your values are the same.
