This is serious, not like my other ones that were meant to be kinda funny. I had a female friend who was VERY toxic, but I didn't see it because I didn't  like losing friends, especially because of a past even. 

She always made me feel like I was in the wrong whenever we argued, even if the stuff she said was out of line. She would get on me for bad communication but never explicitly said what she wanted from me. She actively treated me differently from other friends because they're girls and I'm a guy. 

The point is, she wasn't much of a good friend, like the text you after 2 hours kind. I'm finally free because we got into an argument over something dumb. I told her I saw this video and felt like the guy was raising his daughter to be a gold digger. I said that because he was going to take her to all of these expensive places as she grew up. I'm talking skiing in the Alps, 5 Star restaurants, vacations in Italy, just rich people shit. She told me that he was raising her not to settle for less. I would've just agreed to disagree, but she decided to insult me during the start of it. Her main points were:

I'm broke and have no gold for them to dig, so no money = no opinion

She's friends with gold diggers, so she knows what she's talking about

I don't understand how girls work so I can't say she's wrong

Now here's some rebuttal:
A: Uh, of course I'm broke. I'm an 18 year old still in HIGHSCHOOL and I haven't even been to Basic training. Just because I'm in the military doesn't automatically mean I make bank

B: Firstly, you're friends with people like you. Second, I have family who tend to act like that and people that can tell me about them

C: I told her I have a mother and sister that I can talk to them about, and she really told me "They don't speak for every girl." I told her she doesn't speak for every girl.

Hell I even used her logic against her and she basically blew up. The point is, don't try to keep a toxic friendship together. That shit messes you up mentally. Yes, you lose a friend, but it's healthy in the long run. I'm not saying drop friends if they do something you don't like, see who'll really be there for you when you need them and whose up to talk whenever you need to.
